Lee Ji-seo's POV (Point Of View)
I woke up in the nurse's office, confused. I sat up and noticed Taemin sitting on the chair next to me, scrolling through his phone.
He noticed my movements and looked my way, "Hey, welcome back," he said with a small smile. I winced in pain, "What happened?"
"You passed out while you were going to submit your test paper. So how are you feeling right now?" He asked with concern. "Like I'm being punched in the stomach multiple times. Also, my head hurts and I feel dizzy," I complained.
Taemin nodded his head before passing me a square-shaped object, "Here." I looked down at the object before noticing it was a pad. I looked back at him in embarrassment, "Oh, I, uh..." I stuttered in embarrassment.
"You don't need to be embarrassed. Ha-ri is currently writing her test, so I'm not sure if she can come over and help you out. I'll give you some privacy," he said before getting up and closing the curtains surrounding the bed.
I looked at the pad in my hands and felt my cheeks burn in embarrassment. 'Ah, Ji-seo, you're so stupid. Oh my God, this is so embarrassing," I said inwardly.
Soon after, the school's nurse peeped into the curtain. "Miss Lee, Taemin said that you might need my help," she said with a smile. I looked down at the pad and then back at her, giving her a nod.
"I don't have extra clothes to wear," I said, signifying to my skirt and underwear. 'It's probably stained....'
"Oh, uhm, for the skirt issue, you can just wear your sports joggers, as for the underwear... That's going to be an issue..." She trailed off. I let out a deep sigh, "I don't know what to do."
"I guess you just have to manage," she said with a small smile. I nodded. "Let me fetch your sports joggers," she said before leaving the room.
I got up and quickly changed, "Oh, luckily I didn't stain too much. That's good." The nurse came back and handed me my sports joggers, which I wore.
Taemin walked in and sat on the bed. "Hey, don't you have a test to take?" I asked with a raised brow. "You weren't out for that long. We're still in the first test paper hour, and besides, I'm done with my first paper." He explained.
"Really? Do you have full confidence in what you wrote?" I asked in astonishment. "Fuck no. It's Biology, remember?" He said, folding his arms. I stared at him in shock, "I spent weeks tutoring you. If you don't get above 50, then you're dead." I threatened.
He raised his hands in defeat. Ha-ri rushed in, "Ah, Ji-seo! Are you okay?!" She cried out. I gave her a weak smile, "Yeah, I'm okay."
"You fell so hard, I thought you might have broken your head. Are you sure you're okay?" Ha-ri asked, looking at my forehead.
I rolled my head with a smile, "Yes, I'm fine. How was your test?" "That's not important. What's more important is your health. Have you had breakfast yet?" She asked with a raised brow.
"I was running late, and I couldn't eat. Maybe that's why I fainted earlier," I explained. She slapped my head, "You idiot!" She yelled. I yelled in pain, "Ow, what was that for?! Are you trying to kill me?!"
"So you didn't eat? Wow, Ji-seo, you are an idiot," Taemin said, shaking his head. "I woke up late, so I didn't have time to eat. Let a girl breathe," I said, trying hard not to roll my eyes.
"Well, let's get you something to eat. We have 1 more test to go. So you need to get energised for the next paper. Hey, why are you wearing your sports joggers?" Ha-ri asked, finally noticing my outfit.
I glanced at Taemin, then looked back at Ha-ri and shook my head. She quickly understood my subtle actions, and her eyes widened in shock, "Oh, let's go get you something to eat right, Taemin?" She said before pulling him out of the nurse's office.
They returned a few minutes later with food and gently handed it to me. I carefully placed the tray on my lap and enjoyed my meal, feeling as if I hadn't eaten in ages.
"Whoa, Angry Bird, take a deep breath. The food's not going anywhere!" Taemin teased with a playful smile. I shot him a mock glare and asked, "Do you want to die?" He chuckled nervously and started to step back, giving me some space. I fixed him with one final, amused glare before turning my attention back to my food, feeling a little more at ease.
"This shouldn't repeat itself tomorrow. Go to bed on time and make sure to have breakfast before coming to school," Ha-ri lectured. I gave her a small smile, "Okay, mum." I teased. She shot me a playful glare.
After I was done, Ha-ri took my tray. "We will come back to get you for the next paper, but for now, just rest a little, okay?" I nodded and watched as she left the room, but stopped, "Aren't you coming, Taemin?" She asked when she noticed he wasn't following her.
"I'll keep her company, so she won't get bored," he explained. Ha-ri placed her hand and her hip and gave him a disapproving look. "You'll disturb her rest. Come with me."
"I'll be fine, Ha-ri. I'm sure Dae's waiting for you," I said quickly. She sighed, "Don't stress her. Make sure she gets her rest," she lectured Taemin.
Taemin gave her a salute, "Yes, Ma'am!" Ha-ri shook her head before walking out of the room, leaving me with Taemin.
