Lan Xuanyu kept repeating the headmaster's speech remembering he was here as the Champion of Athena and Merlin to give the son of destiny a lighter load but to also live his new life to the fullest. Sadly he will also have to be cautious of the corruption in the magical world since he's an heir to 2 anicent houses he'll eventually get involved in muddy waters especially after becoming friends with Mo Fan.

As the Old Headmaster's words were done, the students started fantasizing about how amazing they'll become as mages.
The Homeroom Teacher, who was their Magic Advisor, Xue Musheng, was already standing at the front like every other Magical Advisor for the 20 classes. The awakening would be conducted in front of numerous people. The student's name was called out, and then they would go up front to place their hands on the awakening stone in front of the Magic Advisor.
As Lan Xuanyu was waiting for his name to be called he heard one of Mu Bai's lackeys insult Mo Fan. "Hey, the one who entered through the backdoor, you're not going to fail the awakening. A dreg like you should just stop wasting the energy of the expensive Awakening Stone," the Fat classmate Zhao Kunsan said.
While awakening was possible to fail, so Mo Fan was probably nervous considering he was technically not from this world, Lan Xuanyu would probably be in the same boat if not for him being Athena and Merlin's Champion with their blessings, so to win some favor from the son of destiny Lan Xuanyu spoke up. "Ayo Fatty stop barking at least should Mo Fan not awaken he can at least have a better chance of running away from the monsters unlike your big-boned self I mean you'd make a great snack for a wolf beast but Aye if your about to be eaten you could pray to your owner Mu Bai to save you right?" Mo Fan, Zhao Kunsan, and Zhang Hou were surprised by Lan Xuanyu defending someone from Zhao Kunsan's harassment but it was also at that moment multiple people who overheard the conversation broke out in laughter while Mo Fan gave Lan Xuanyu an appreciative nod. Zhang Hou decided to also tell his friend his piece. "Brother Mo Fan, just ignore this jerk. Wait until you awaken a Fire Element and show him. Then he'll know the meaning behind the phrase, 'Look down on people from a dog's eyes." Zhang Hou finished saying while glaring at the Fatty.
Suddenly the homeroom teacher called for Mu Bai grabbing everyone's attention the horny teenagers made comments about his handsome looks and good grades. Said, person Mu Bai already stood up and walked over to the awakening stone while smiling over the attention Lan Xuanyu could see the arrogance in his eyes. "Mu Bai, you're from the Mu Family is renowned for its Ice Element right?" Xue Musheng asked with a slight smile. "Precisely."
"Good, if you awaken the ice element, then you will be superior compared to others. However, don't forget to put effort too. After all, too much pride behest the fall."
Mu Bai nodded, but he was after all a young master. 'I have resources and backing why should I respect the weak and poor I'm destined for greatness.'
Then with permission from the Homeroom Teacher, Mu Bai slowly placed his hands on the floating awakening stone.
A thick, Star-shaped compass emerged, along with a clear palm print on the awakening stone. Mu Bai seemed calm and collected but Qin Wushuang could see behind the facade.
Thanks to his bloodline, the possibility of him awakening the Ice element was very high. However, there could also be exceptional circumstances. If he awakened the water or light element then the Mu Family was unlikely to put any resources into his cultivation.
The awakening stone suddenly emanated a starry radiance. This radiance turned into strips of star marks that appeared to be an extraordinary vein as it landed on Mu Bai's left hand.
This caused everyone to look without even blinking trying not to miss the moment, Mu Bai was standing still with his eyes closed he quickly, however, raised his hand.

While Mu Bai was enjoying his fantasy, Tang Wulin couldn't help but chuckle at the naivety of his classmates thinking having a good element means success which is anything but the truth because he knew better than anyone how hard fighting for resources truly is.
Suddenly he heard his name causing Mu Bai and everyone to snap out of their fantasy. "Next, Lan Xuanyu!"
After the Homeroom teacher called my name I walked to the front of the awakening stone with the Homeroom Teacher's permission I placed my hand on the awakening stone which quickly sent me into my spiritual world where I could see two different pieces of blank stardust suddenly information quickly went into his mind informing him that his Merlin's Blessing allowed him to choose which elements he wanted to awaken and what effects he could get besides the x12 damage multiplier on non Elemental Magic Qin Wushuang quickly chose the Curse Element and Fire Element which made the first stardust turn red black with a greyish hue and the other one dark red for the fire element, as for the extra effects he made it so his Fire Element would be able to penerate any defense while his Celestial seed first effect would be that his fire was immune to any water element the other 2 effects would be know as his cultivation increased ,as for his Curse element would have the effect known as Soul Withering which would destroy the souls of the beasts or magicians he Cursed increasing the damage to the soul over time not to mention the 12x damage he received.
Thankfully because of his Athena's and Merlin's Blessing he can choose which element will appear in the outside world when awakening so he chose the Curse Element which caused alot of gasps from the teachers and students since usually beginner mages would only unlock the basic elements it was rare to unlock non elements first.

"Well looks like my little husband will have an amazing start as a mage but then again what could I expect he's those monsters child I'm quite lucky little husband hasn't become prideful and lustful from what mother in laws shadow maids have reported he's been diligent in his studies while being faithful to me seems even if he isn't been informed of our engagement he's kept his true to our promise little husband sure was bold to steal my first kiss before I left to join the Enforcement Union even with my clan's backing having mother in law and father in laws houses watching my back is reassuring nobody wants to harass the fiancee of the heir to the Lan and Yun clans little husband even spoiled me on my birthday with a soul grade fire called Sun Fire which came with a domain and effect 'sigh' too bad I'm on a mission or I'd be cuddling with little husband I should be worried about his safety considering the rumors of the Black Vatican making moves in Bo City but from the Peak Monarch in his shadow I don't need to worry much.
Lan Xuanyu PoV
After choosing Curse as my element to show in public I opened my eye's automatically feeling the basic control and strength I have over my Curse Element and Fire around me which made me feel like I could permanently scar my classmates with my mental strength alone also felt the curse element move to my whim since I basically had Genjutsu spell on speed dial so without even releasing my magic circle as for my fire element I could mold my fire into any shape just like Advanced mages. I can't wait to start practicing with my cultivation tool then leveling up into Intermidate Rank before the Bo City tragedy that way I could go on a slaughter collecting souls to strengthen my Curse Element Basic Spells. After I sat down ignoring the jealous looks coming my way from Mu Bai and his two lackeys I got to see Monkey unlock is wind element then it was Mo Fan's turn which went like the novel everybody got distracted and missed his double awakening which left him stupefied until he noticed I was smirking at him since he thought no one noticed bringing my finger to my lip making a shush gesture while winking at him letting him know his secret was safe with me but I'm guessing my fiancee was just as surprised but not as surprised as when I used my mental strength in to give her back side a smack as she left in her shadow element letting her know I was aware of her presence, hopefully she'll visit my apartment so I could finally indulge a bit after being pent up for so long purbety is annoying luckily my fiancee is not opposed especially considering I'm already a mage starting today of well can't wait to show my Curse and Fire Element with my natural born Celestial Seed to my parents over a video call especially since I unlocked 2 of the elements my parents reached Forbidden Curse Rank with Mom has Summon , Curse and Space Elements at Forbidden Curse Rank 3 and Father has Space, Lightning,Chaos, Psychic and Curse Elements at Rank 3. I can already see mom sending me a Supreme Grade Mind Stone to help cultivate my spiritual attainment which amplifies my soul power which will me improve my mental strength level faster. Also I see dad sending me a Armor Set for protection. After arriving home I called for a shadow maid to show both my elements so she could report it to my parents which would intentionally increases my allowance for developing my elements as I hoped while also giving the elders some peace of mind that I'm a prodigy.

"We gathered all elders of both Lan and Yun families to make an important announcement about your young master our son whom just awakened his magic which turned out to be ridiculous in a good way should this report been only made by my wives shadow maids I might have had some doubts but as we all know our daughter in law is also in Bo City undercover performing an investigation for the Enforcement Union on the Black Vatican so she also witnessed our sons awakening and can confirm he has an innate talent of double awakening of elements which ment he will have double the amount of elements to cultivate so we will up his allowance and provide a deeper effort into making hime the 4th Forbidden Curse Rank in our family as for the 2 elements he awakened they were my wife's Curse element and my Fire Element what we also confirmed is he was born with an Celestial Grade Fire just like the little girl of the Mu Clan also on a side note one of our son's friend is also a double awakener but not that important what is that besides increasing the backing my son will receive we will also allow him to sharpen his Battle Instinct without my wife's shadow maids intervening unless his life is truly in danger because we as his parents won't tolerate a wasteral especially one with his gifts so please start contacting your informats for rare materials to make your young master a great Armor Set we will be giving him a Supreme Grade Mind Stone to help cultivate his soul power the faster he levels up his mental strength the more safe he'll become on his own also we will assign a super level mage on our son's friend and his fiancee for safety measures. After a the meeting was adjourned only Yun Chen , Lan Xue, and Lan Fei who looked like a mature version of her daughter (Lan Xuanyu's Grandmother) where left in the room. "Should we recruit a Shadow Maid to become his concubine since his fiancee is busy playing in the Enforcement Union we have to at least secure my grandson's talent in case the unspeakable happens so we won't be left without an heir ?"
"Hmm we talked about this with our daughter in law and she while not exactly pleased thought it should be done and for our son he said she better be strong and beautiful so we went through the maid trainees we currently training and found two promising candidates first one her name Yoruichi Shihoin 21 years old she awakened the Shadow Element first then Wind and finally Chaos all at Advanced level 1. We will had one of the elders approach and offer to support her to become a Super Mage as long as she becomes a Shadow Maid for Lan Xuanyu while also giving birth to 2 of his children she accepted, the second one is Grayfia Lucifuge she's 23 years old with Ice, Space, Summoning elements all at Advanced level 2 both are willing to be our son's Concubines as long as our son treats them right which is great considering our son is a dragon among men in character.

While Lan Xuanyu family was holding there meeting he was on his couch meditating as to control his magic better so as to be able to unleash both first level 1 spells without much difficulty while making a habit so as it becomes easier he'll have to use less mana for each spell over time and also help not getting killed in the wild for being unable to unleash magic correctly. As he finally took a break he opened his eyes which brought his fiancee Tang Yue into his vision. "Finally decided to make time for your husband ?" I said with a bit of sarcasm considering she left for 2 years without any communication which evidently stung cause she furrowed her brows. When he woke up in the afternoon of the day after Tang Yue was gone but not without leaving a note explaining she'd be under cover as his classes substitute teacher while commenting that she'd return to his bed once a month so as not to distract him from his cultivation and herself from her mission which was alright with him since he was more relaxed after finally bedding his little wife. Now he had to wait for the Mind Stone and Armor his parents were sending him alongside his Hunter license maybe even his personal maids which was basically his assistant/concubine/bodyguards.
