Chapter 1 - Episode 1

"Can I get you two anything else?" A polite server from a small café in the middle of a busy town asked the man and woman who had been hunkered down inside her section for over an hour now.

"No." The dark-haired man grunted, tried of this small girl trying to push them out.

"Ok." The server sighed through her lips, slowly turning around as she walked away. She really hoped to cash them out so she could flip the table already.

"It's about time!" The woman hissed through her whitened teeth seeing a hooded masked figure walking towards their table in the back of the café. The woman flipped her pixie hair cut out of her round face. "Where have you been!?"

"It was difficult to get away." The autotuned voice answered.

"Enough-" The man snapped through his partners bickering as he stared down at the traitor before him. "-tell me about them."

"Why are we in such an open location?" The traitor questioned glancing around their surroundings.

"We are in some low-class café in the middle of town." The woman rolled her brown eyes, "You can't get more inconspicuous than this." The Traitor sighed, slowly accepting the woman's answer by pulling out a thick folder laying it softly on the table.

"Camp Northern light has multiple members-" The Traitor started, "-but these five seem to be the face of the-"

"Hey there-!" The server greeted the joiner, "-how can I-"

"Nothing-!" The Traitor snapped, quickly shutting the folder. "-I don't want anything."

"U-Um, are you sure-?"

"Yes." The Traitor said hastily.

"Well alright, if you change your mind my name is-"

"Thank you." The Traitor interrupted. The server puckered her lips annoyed as she turned from the table.

"You were saying." The man waved his hands motioning to open the file.

"-these five seem to be the face of the Camp. The first member is the brains behind the operation, Benjamin Cage. He goes by 'Benny'. He doesn't leave the hideout often; he doesn't even leave his bedroom unless he needs to restock his food stash hidden somewhere in his room. I have yet to even see him go outside in the sun."

"How is he the brains behind the Camp then?" The woman crossed her arms over her chest. "He sounds like a nerd."

"Because that is his power-" The man answered, "-he was born with enhanced intelligence that can put the worlds brightest scientists to shame, he is also a talented hacker."

"Yes." The Traitor nodded. "He has a love for-"

"Listen-" The man snipped leaning forward on the table, "-I don't care about their personalities, I don't give a rats ass what their interests are or what they had for dinner last night. I only want to know what makes them tick, what are their weaknesses, how to bring them down!" The man gritted his teeth as he spat the words onto the table.

"What about the others?" The woman stepped in. "If we can get that little mole out of his burrow then bringing him down shouldn't be too hard."

"The second member is Melony Liu-"

"The Key Holder." The man stomped on the traitor's speech again.

"That's what she's called." The Traitor nodded, "Her powers allow her to open portals which is how Camp Northern Light gets to and from their hideout."

"If you have gotten on the inside, why can't you just have her open a portal and we easily just jump through it?" The woman wondered.

"Because some of her portals can be activated by touch, which she only has set up for the other main members. I must call and request transportation, when her portal opens it sends a wave out which feels the surrounding area, she will know your trying to cross through."

"Ugh-" The woman groaned shaking her head. "-I hate them!" She sneered at the wooden table clinging her fists. "They are like little bed bugs! So pesky and hard to get rid of."

"What about the Key Holder?" The man steered the conversation back on track. "Can we catch her off guard somehow and take her?"

"Not likely." The Traitor sighed, "She doesn't leave the hideout much either, she is more laid back and doesn't like to venture outside."

"Who does like to wonder outside then?" The men waved feeling frustrated, leaning back in his metal chair.

"Raiden Rhee is up when the sun is, and he always goes on morning runs but his routine changes daily it would be hard to catch him off guard."

"He is the one who can move things?" The woman questioned.

"Yes, he has telekinesis."

"He would be hard to capture...who else?"

"Carver Holden."

"No way in hell are we going to get him." The woman scoffed, "His super strength makes him a whale to catch not to mention he is like the ringleader of these little bed bugs."

"Carver and Raiden both go running together, it is rare to see them apart and their partnership would make it extremely difficult to capture them and keep them trapped." The Traitor explained.

"Who else is there?" The man rubbed his sharply shaved chin as his thoughts ran miles a second trying to conjure up a winning scheme.

"Elea Fields."

"I know that name." The man pointed out, "She just made herself a well-known member of Camp Northern Light during the wildfire in California."

"Yes." The Traitor nodded, "Elea's ability to harness energy and reuse to however she pleases makes her a strong assist to the Camp."

"How did you weasel your way into Northern Light?" The man leaned forward his interested peak by his question, "We have been trying to get a spy on the inside for a while but have failed every time."

"I have a key you don't." The Traitor smirked under their mask.

"Oh?"

"Camp Northern Light has recently lost a member."

"Yes." The woman nodded, "I read about Bella Kendrick's tragic demise."

"The papers said she died during the rescue Camp Northern Light was a part of, so I used her to my advantage."

"How so?"

"I used my friendship with her to win sympathy for myself."

"Why do I get the feeling you didn't have any sympathy when she died in that fire?"

"Because I didn't know her." The Traitor smiled.

"Then how did-?" The woman started.

"Benny isn't the only talented hacker around." The Traitor casually explained.

"Hm." The woman pondered, "Not a whole lot is actually known about Camp Northern Light and their members. The public paints them as pearly white heroes, but there is no paper trail of those people."

"Benny-" The Traitor informed, "-he went through and wiped all trace of the camp's members, you won't find any trace of them anywhere."

"How that Camp even formed is unknown." The man added, his blood boiling at the lack of knowledge at his disposal.

"What about their families!?" The woman perked up at her genius idea, "If we could track them down, we could use them as bait to draw out Northern Light!"

"That could work..." The man hummed, moldering over the thought.

"Well?" The woman asked the Traitor.

"What?" The Traitor turned, "I don't know anything about them."

"Wh-What!?" The woman smacked the table, "How the hell do you know nothing about their families!?"

"Because that is the one thing, they would all clam up about when the topic surfaced."

"You have been spying on these people for months and you know nothing about their personal life?" Then man shook his head in disapproval.

"I have only been watching these people for a couple months!" The Traitor snapped, "There are people waitlisted until next year to even audition for Camp Northern Light and I got in in just weeks!"

"Camp Northern Light has been a giant thorn in my side ever since the government passed the law for registered camps to legally take action against almost any crime." The man's voice was dangerously low as his eye twitched in annoyance, "They have stalled many of my operations, how do I know you can bring them to me?"

"I am your best bet at trapping and bringing them down." The Traitor leaned back in the chair. "I have each of their routines down, I know their habits and believe it or not, but Fields is a creature of habit and that makes her an easy target."

"Hm." The man nodded, liking the painted answer.

"The key to getting rid of Camp Northern Light is to get at least one of their families." The woman commented, so sure of her idea. "They have to have some family somewhere; it isn't like these people magically shot out of an orphanage together ready to fight crime and bring justice to the world."

"We don't need their families." The Traitor smoothly replied.

"Oh?" The woman scoffed, "Do you think Northern Light will just walk through those doors and jump into our handcuffs?"

"Not likely." The Traitor snickered,

"Then how do you think you of all people can get the better of them?"

"Because I have a for sure plan that will get you Camp Northern Light and get me paid."

"What is it?"

"This isn't the time or place-" The Traitor stood. "-I will be in touch. But for now, I must go, they will be expecting my call soon."

"Very well." The man said standing as well, "Until next time." He nodded buttoning his suits jacket as he and the woman exited the building.

The server sighed in relief from the café's side station seeing the three leaving the building.

"Finally." The server's coworker joked as they moved to quickly bus the table.

"I know right they were here for-" The server looked at the bill with cash lying beside it.

"What's wrong?"

"They were here for hours and didn't leave a tip." The server answered as her heart sank into her chest.
