When walking home from a very annoying day, Rei Tokura grabs a book from his book bag and starts reading it whilst walking back home. Since Rei had already memorized the way back home he didn't need to look up. At least that's what he thought. When he was almost to his house Rei took a left instead of a right. Rei's mind knew the way very well but it insisted to turn left for an unknown reason.
When Rei realized he had took the wrong turn he looked up (Note: This was not long after he took the wrong turn). Rei was very surprised to notice that he was in a forest, but there weren't any forests in the area where he lived. He then looked back but the only thing he could see were trees. It was almost as if he teleported or got summoned. Rei was a huge book worm so he actually hoped that he was summoned to another world to save it.
Then an unknown voice yelled saying
???:WATCH OUT!!
And he did as the voice said and dodged the unknown creature, then the creature immediately said
???: HEY! You weren't supposed to actually dodge it! You were supposed to be my cushion
Rei: Whats that supposed to mean all I did was do what I was told.
???:So you are saying that if a stranger asked you to jump off a cliff you would.
Rei: I only follow orders I know will benefit me.
???: Your a strange one you know that.
But as he was saying that Rei had lost interest and started to head for a tree then sat down and started reading the book in his hand.
???: HEY YOUR NOT SUPPOSED TO JUST IGNORE ME Y'KNOW!
Rei: Why not you just called me weird plus your a stranger and earlier you implied that I shouldn't listen to you.
???:Well... that is true...BUT STILL...dang your right. Jeez why was I assigned to a know it all kid "pisses me off".
(Note: Anything with quotation marks means he is whispering).
Rei: Wait assigned what do you mean?
Rei's curiosity got the better of him in the end and the unknown creature who was apparently named Moka explained to him the situation. Moka told Rei that he was apparently summoned to this world or he accidentally summoned himself to the world and whenever someone gets summoned they are assaigned a assistant that aids them in their time in the world. But Moka had no idea why he(Rei) was summoned. So Rei concluded that they should find a place to sleep for the night. Thankfully it was only morning so they had time to travel to the nearest town.
Rei: So are you absolutely sure you know the way to the town Moka.
Moka: Yea. You should trust my instincts (*Moka arrogantly said*)
Rei: Nah I'd rather go with my instincts.
Moka: Says the person who accidentally took a left instead of a right.
Moka said that as he stuck his tongue out at Rei. In the end Rei ended using a map that Moka conveniently had to get to the town. So after all the arguing that the two of them did they finally started moving for the next town.
