"Uhhh..uncle Zareel, when will we arrive at our destination?" Lucian asked
"You really want to kickoff your training, don't you?" Zareel replied
"Not really. But we've been traveling for days" the boy said.
Lucian and Zareel has been riding nonstop for three days, only taking quick breaks for breakfast and supper. It was as though they were running against time.
A few minutes later, Zareel turned back to look at Lucian with a smile
He ordered his beast companion to fly low, and the Wyvern obeyed and dived with its belly almost touching the tree tops.
He turned back and looked at Lucian one more time, this time with a devilish smile before saying the words
"Well…how about now"
Before Lucian could process what was going on, he felt his body hitting the tree branches before a heavy thud of something hitting the ground reached his ears. He watched helplessly in pain as Zareel gave him a wink before disappearing from his view.
A few seconds later, his head spun as his surroundings went dark.
Falling from such a height wouldn't be any problem on a normal to anyone. But Lucian was only a beginner so it was just normal that he lost consciousness.
Two hours later, Lucian slowly woke up, groaning in pain. He forced himself to stand, scanning his surroundings for any immediate danger.
Although he didn't know his current location, one thing he was certain was that he was deep in a forest, nowhere near any human settlements.
As he scanned his surroundings, he realized the trees were lined in perfect order giving the woods somewhat of a simple and beautiful scene. It was as if it was just made for human use. But one thing was that, the trees seemed not to have an ending and it stretched all over the place.
Since his falling was clearly not an accident, he knew his training would start sooner so he needed to find his trainer. Or maybe that was what he thought.
Just then, he heard a sharp whistling sound and just that moment, an arrow flew past his ears embedding itself in a tree just behind him. He instinctively jumped back a few meters, feeling a tinge of pain on his ears. He reached out to touch it then saw the blood the arrow drew.
Thinking he was under a bandit attack or in danger, his first thought was to escape as fast as he could.
Just then, he saw the piece of paper that was tied at the tail of the arrow.
He looked closely at where the arrow had come from before immediately grabbing and tearing the paper from the tail of the arrow. He hid quietly behind one of the largest trees around and read it.
As he opened it, the paper read
[Your training begins now!]
[Phase one: Survival Challenge]
[Goal: You're now a prey. Do everything to survive]
As soon as he finished reading those lines, he heard a dinging sound in his head and a notification appeared in front of him.

[Accept /Decline]
Just as Lucian was thinking on whether to accept this quest or decline, a heard another quick whistling sound and this time, an arrow embedded itself in front of him. Two shot followed suit, both missing their targets as though it was deliberate.
"Hey!! Who are you. I came here to train, not to be hunted" Lucian began to shout as arrows continued flying in his direction.
"You cannot scare me okay"
"I know you'll not hurt me because if you do, my grandfather will k—"
Before he could finish those words, an arrow pierced his left thigh followed by a surge of pain, as the younger boy forced to control himself from screaming. At the moment, another notification appeared in front of him.
