...

[System Notification: Congratulations, Skill 'Energy Absorption' has leveled up!]

[Energy Absorption Lv.3 (1/1000): Can absorb the vast majority of energy types. Absorption rate and maximum energy capacity are high.]

The moment Energy Absorption leveled up, Su Mu instantly felt a transcendental shift in his physical vessel.

First, the spectrum of energy he could devour had broadened drastically. Energies he previously couldn't interact with—such as raw nuclear radiation and even esoteric magical energy—were now perfectly within his domain of absorption.

Furthermore, his absorption rate had skyrocketed, becoming at least three times faster than before!

His maximum energy capacity had also tripled. With his current reserves, he could maintain the Limitless continuously for at least half an hour, cast a full-powered Cursed Technique Lapse: Blue over six times, or execute Cursed Technique Reversal: Red three times at its minimum output!

According to the esoteric knowledge provided by the Gojo Satoru template, the absolute minimum output of Red was at least twice as destructive as the maximum output of Blue!

This didn't just mean a terrifyingly high energy consumption; it represented a vastly more catastrophic level of lethality.

However, Su Mu was fully aware that his successful execution of Cursed Technique Reversal: Red earlier had been a sheer stroke of luck. If he tried to force it again right now, it would likely fail.

His previous cast of Red had been wildly unstable, bleeding off massive amounts of chaotic energy. If he continued to cast it in that volatile state, he would drain his reserves completely dry in just two uses.

Therefore, until he raised his Template Synchronization enough to inherit Gojo Satoru's flawless muscle memory and absolute mastery over Red, it was best to keep the technique sheathed.

Energy consumption was only a secondary concern; the real danger was that if the volatile, untamed positive energy backfired and struck his brain, it would be game over. His current level of the Reverse Cursed Technique hadn't yet reached the transcendental realm of being able to regenerate a completely obliterated brain.

Beyond the expanded reserves, the accelerated absorption rate was a massive boon.

If his calculations were correct, at Level 3, his passive Energy Absorption could completely negate and devour the kinetic energy of small-caliber rifle fire on impact. This meant that even if he let his guard down and deactivated the Limitless, he no longer had to fear ordinary sneak attacks.

Unfortunately, both the Limitless and the Reverse Cursed Technique were still at relatively low levels. He didn't know exactly what level he needed to reach to replicate Gojo Satoru's absolute peak—where the Reverse Cursed Technique continuously healed the brain 24/7, allowing the Limitless to remain permanently active while subconsciously filtering out all threats based on mass, speed, and shape.

But Su Mu aimed even higher. If he pushed the system's skills beyond their original limits, he could eventually establish an automatic filter for complex poisons, and even naturally deflect conceptual spatial attacks!

As his skills continued to level up, he wouldn't just match Gojo Satoru; he would ascend to a realm the original had never even touched!

Picturing this absolute future, a thrill of anticipation coursed through Su Mu's veins. He even entertained the idea that the System might eventually grant him a template with dimensional travel capabilities. Going to the Jujutsu Kaisen universe and using the exact same cursed techniques to violently crush the "Invincible" Gojo Satoru sounded like a highly entertaining pastime.

After continuously absorbing electricity until his reserves were overflowing, he pushed his Template Synchronization to 27%. With his power restored, he finally navigated his way out of the sewer.

He climbed a rusted ladder, pushed open a heavy manhole cover, and emerged into a secluded, dingy alleyway. Just as he was preparing to leave Hell's Kitchen to buy a fresh set of clothes, he noticed a girl staring at him in absolute shock.

She had striking green hair and was covered in dirt and grime, making her look frail, homeless, and entirely helpless.

Of course, that was only to the naked eye. Through the crystalline, omniscient gaze of the Six Eyes, Su Mu saw a massive, swirling reservoir of green energy radiating from her body. The surrounding metallic trash and rusted pipes in the alleyway were subtly vibrating, eager to answer her call.

Su Mu instantly recognized her energy signature. Polaris!

Lorna Dane, the daughter of Magneto. She possessed the terrifying mutant ability to manipulate magnetism. At her absolute peak, she could control the entire electromagnetic field of the Earth—making her a powerhouse completely on par with Magneto himself!

To think I'd bump into her hiding in an alley, Su Mu mused. But considering this is an unknown parallel Marvel universe, it's not too surprising. The Marvel multiverse was infinitely vast; anything was possible.

Su Mu had absolutely no intention of acknowledging her. He simply started walking toward the street. But Polaris clearly wasn't going to let him leave.

She had instantly recognized the breathtaking white-haired man. He was the entity the media was currently calling the greatest threat to the world—the White Demon!

But to the mutant underground, he was already being hailed as their Messiah. Their absolute leader!

Regardless of his title, it meant the man standing before her possessed god-like power. Power that likely rivaled or even surpassed her own father's!

Seeing Su Mu walking away, she acted on instinct to stop him. Channeling her magnetic field, she forcefully ripped a heavy iron pipe off the brick wall and sent it flying forward, intending to plant it horizontally across his path to block him.

But...

Polaris watched in absolute, reality-shattering disbelief. The heavy metal pipe screeched to a dead halt mere centimeters from the man's back. It simply hung suspended in the air, completely disconnected from her magnetic control, entirely incapable of advancing a single millimeter.

Instead of being terrified, Polaris was thrilled. The stronger Su Mu was, the greater the chance he could lead their kind to liberation from human oppression!

A hopeful smile blossomed on her dirty face. She opened her mouth to speak, but the words instantly died in her throat.

Su Mu had slowly turned his head to look at her.

His crystalline, azure eyes were entirely devoid of human emotion. Staring into those bottomless blue depths, Polaris felt an overwhelming, suffocating pressure crush her chest. It was as if the grim reaper himself had gently rested a cold scythe against her neck, ready to sever her soul at the slightest provocation.

Then, a freezing, chilling whisper echoed in the alleyway.

"Isn't it nice to just stay alive?"

Hearing the grim reaper's murmur, Polaris violently shuddered. Snapping out of her paralyzed daze, she frantically blurted out, "I-I don't mean you any harm! I just want to follow you! I want to fight the human government by your side!"

Su Mu didn't respond. He simply turned fully and began walking slowly toward her.

Every leisurely step he took radiated an absolutely terrifying, transcendental pressure. It felt like an unstoppable, cosmic force was physically pushing her toward the abyss of death.

Overwhelmed by the lethal threat, her survival instincts overrode her logic. She unleashed her magnetic powers, ripping every piece of loose metal in the alleyway—trash cans, nails, rebar—and hurled them violently at Su Mu.

Every single piece of jagged metal froze harmlessly in the air before him, entirely swallowed by his infinity.

Only now did Polaris truly comprehend the absolute weight of the name "White Demon." He wasn't just a powerful mutant like the ones she knew. He was a cosmic horror operating on an entirely different dimension!

Despite using every ounce of her power to push him back, she couldn't stop the encroaching specter of death.

Su Mu casually backed her into a corner. The sheer spatial pressure of his aura pinned her helplessly against the cold brick wall. She couldn't even twitch.

Ignoring her terrified, tear-filled eyes, Su Mu channeled cursed energy into his physical vessel. He casually reached out, grabbed the thickest iron pipe suspended in his infinity, and casually threw it forward.

The heavy metal pipe, infused with terrifying kinetic force by his seemingly slender arm, slammed violently into the solid brick wall, burying itself deeply into the masonry—barely a millimeter from Polaris's ear.

"Beautiful lady," Su Mu said, his voice smooth and devoid of mercy. "This is your first and only warning. Your luck will absolutely not be this good next time."

With a dismissive flick of his index finger, Su Mu manipulated the spatial coordinates around him. The cloud of metal suspended in the air completely ignored Polaris's magnetic field and shot forward, embedding deeply into the brick wall in a perfect circle around her, effectively caging her in place.

Su Mu casually covered a yawn with the back of his hand, turned around, and resumed his leisurely stroll out of the alleyway.

Watching the arrogant, long-legged demon casually walking away, Polaris finally mustered the last shreds of her courage.

"You're so powerful!" she screamed, her voice cracking with desperation. "You can do so much! You have the power to save all mutants from this hell! Why won't you act?!"

A few seconds passed. Just as she thought he was going to ignore her entirely, a lazy, profoundly indifferent voice drifted back through the alley.

"What does their suffering have to do with me?"

The White Demon paused and glanced over his shoulder. The dim light illuminated his breathtakingly handsome side profile and the mesmerizing depths of his azure eyes. A diabolical, brilliant smile curved his lips.

"Don't try to morally extort me... because I have absolutely no morals."
