Witnessing this absolute absurdity, Tony Stark instinctively gulped.
The front-page photograph from the Daily Bugle wasn't CGI. It wasn't tabloid sensationalism.
The catastrophic information recorded in that article was absolutely real!
And if anything, reality was infinitely more horrifying than what the paper described! The article hadn't mentioned anything about the White Demon possessing the raw physical strength to violently launch a multi-ton mechanical behemoth into the air with a single, casual punch!
As the architect of the Iron Monger's core design, Tony knew exactly how much that monstrosity weighed. Even his cutting-edge Mark III couldn't deliver that kind of kinetic impact. It simply wasn't a level of power a biological entity should possess!
Staring at the White Demon's slender arm, Tony Stark felt a profound, chilling sense of his own ignorance for the very first time.
...
Having effortlessly swatted the Iron Monger away, Su Mu casually rolled his wrist. He was genuinely surprised that his very first attempt at landing a Black Flash was successful.
This perfectly validated his theory. By combining Gojo Satoru's cursed energy manipulation with his own Level 3 Energy Absorption, his micro-control over energy flow was vastly superior to the original's. If he kept practicing, he could absolutely achieve a 100% Black Flash strike rate in the future!
And since a Black Flash amplifies physical impact to the power of 2.5, achieving a 100% activation rate meant every single basic punch he threw would carry catastrophic, world-ending kinetic force!
It was a terrifying, exponential leap in raw combat power.
Ignoring the dumbstruck Tony Stark behind him, Su Mu leisurely strolled toward the gaping hole the Iron Monger had just smashed through the wall. He stepped out of the facility and onto the shattered pavement of the highway.
As he approached, the Iron Monger's targeting systems locked onto him. Obadiah frantically unleashed a relentless barrage of heavy machine-gun fire and micro-missiles. But naturally, every single projectile froze mid-air, entirely incapable of crossing the infinite distance of the Limitless.
By this point, the terrified civilians had already fled the immediate vicinity. The stretch of highway was completely empty, leaving only the unhurried White Demon and the wildly firing Iron Monger.
However, a few brave—or incredibly stupid—bystanders had taken cover further down the road, peeking out to watch the chaos. Some even pulled out their smartphones to record the impossible scene.
When the White Demon stepped out from the dust, the crowd instantly recognized him.
"The White Demon! Why is he here in Manhattan?!"
"Is he the one fighting that giant robot?!"
"He just punched that steel monster through a building! How is that physically possible?!"
The panicked whispers spread like wildfire.
Coincidentally, parked a few blocks away in a dented Chevrolet, a middle-aged man's face was flushed with absolute, unadulterated ecstasy. Eddie Brock practically scrambled out of his car, hoisting a professional-grade DSLR camera onto his shoulder and zooming in on Su Mu.
Yes! Yes! Eddie praised Lady Luck in his heart. To accidentally stumble upon the White Demon fighting again?!
His previous exclusive had already skyrocketed him to stardom at the Daily Bugle. If he could capture high-definition footage of the White Demon battling a massive mech in the heart of New York, he would absolutely secure a massive promotion and reach the absolute pinnacle of journalism!
Through his camera lens, Eddie watched the White Demon slowly walk toward the fallen steel giant. The show was finally starting!
...
Inside the Iron Monger cockpit, Obadiah Stane stared at his diagnostic screens in sheer, paralyzed horror.
"Warning. Warning. Hull integrity compromised: 36%... Hull integrity compromised: 36%!"
Just one punch! A single punch had nearly shattered the Iron Monger's chest plating! How was that possible?!
The Iron Monger's chassis was forged from solid, ten-centimeter-thick weapons-grade titanium alloy! Armor that thick could comfortably tank a direct hit from an anti-tank missile without breaching. Yet, a flesh-and-blood human had nearly caved it in with his bare fist! Was this kid even human?!
Obadiah was drowning in regret. The Daily Bugle wasn't exaggerating! The rumors were all true! If he had known this white-haired kid was an actual god-tier monster, he never would have antagonized him. He would have gladly paid one billion, even two billion dollars to buy his allegiance!
But the bridge was burned. Now, his only option was to kill the White Demon at all costs.
That bizarre spatial defense can't possibly last forever! If I maintain distance and overwhelm him with continuous heavy ordnance, I can drain his stamina and kill him! Just as Obadiah formulated his strategy and prepared to engage his thrusters, the White Demon suddenly vanished from his optical sensors.
By the time the targeting AI screamed a proximity warning, the White Demon was already hovering directly in front of the cockpit. His crystalline blue eyes stared coldly into Obadiah's soul. The demon's right fist was pulled back, radiating a terrifying, volatile blue cursed energy.
It was the exact same stance that had just launched him through a building!
Obadiah frantically tried to dodge, but the Iron Monger was far too bulky, and the distance was far too short.
If that impossibly destructive punch landed directly on his damaged chest plate again, the armor would shatter, and Obadiah would be violently pulverized inside the cockpit!
No! No! Don't!
He stared in absolute despair as the glowing blue fist descended, practically seeing the grim reaper's scythe swinging toward his neck.
BANG!
The cursed-energy-infused fist connected with the Iron Monger's chest plate. The colossal mech was launched backward once more.
But this time, it was different.
There was no catastrophic eruption of black lightning. The Iron Monger was only pushed back a few meters before its heavy boots dug into the asphalt, grinding to a halt.
Obadiah immediately checked his diagnostics.
"Warning. Warning. Hull integrity compromised: 38%... Hull integrity compromised: 38%!"
That punch had only caused an additional 2% of structural damage.
Obadiah instantly realized what had happened. A manic, relieved laughter erupted from his throat.
"Hahaha! I knew it! You can't just spam that terrifying black lightning whenever you want, can you?! That first punch must have drained all your stamina! You don't have the strength to do it a second time!"
Realizing the White Demon wasn't as invincible as he feared, the terror in Obadiah's heart vanished. He raised his massive rotary cannons and resumed firing point-blank at Su Mu.
"Come on! Let's see how long you can hold up that invisible shield under a hail of lead!"
...
Back at the edge of the Stark facility, Tony Stark limped out of the blasted hole, his Mark III armor critically damaged. He had watched the entire exchange.
"Damn it," Tony muttered, his heart sinking. "He can't fire off that black lightning continuously. If Obadiah just keeps bombarding him and draining his stamina, the kid might actually lose!"
A terrible premonition washed over Tony. The Arc Reactor in his chest was flashing critically low, sitting at a pathetic 2% power. He was completely combat-ineffective. If Obadiah killed the White Demon, Tony would be entirely defenseless. He would just have to sit there and wait to be executed.
"Damn it all!" Tony cursed.
...
Further down the highway, the terrified onlookers also witnessed the exchange. Seeing the White Demon's punch fail to critically damage the steel giant, and watching the mech immediately retaliate with overwhelming firepower, the crowd began to whisper.
"The White Demon is strong against normal humans, but I guess flesh and blood can't beat advanced military technology!"
"Yeah! That giant robot has to be a new government weapon designed to hunt him down! He's definitely going to lose!"
Hidden among the crowd, a few mutant observers watched the battle with profound despair.
Are mutants truly powerless against human technology? Will we never be able to stand up against our oppressors? Everyone present—Tony Stark, Obadiah Stane, Eddie Brock, and the terrified crowd—all firmly believed the White Demon was on the verge of exhaustion and defeat.
But what happened next completely shattered their reality...
