Ignoring the awestruck stares of the spectators, Su Mu casually shook his hand, stretching his fingers with a hint of mild disappointment.
"Just as I thought. My skill level is still too low to unleash a Black Flash on command. The probability of triggering it intentionally is still incredibly low..."
Having anticipated this, he didn't dwell on it. He shifted his crystalline gaze from his hand back to the Iron Monger. He casually dug a pinky into his ear and drawled, "It's been long enough. Time to wrap this up, or Tony Stark might complain about the quality of my customer service."
With a profoundly euphoric and cruel smile, Su Mu thrust his hand forward.
"Cursed Technique Lapse: Blue. Maximum Output!"
The moment Su Mu raised his hand, Obadiah sensed impending doom. In a pure panic response, he unloaded every single weapon in the Iron Monger's arsenal simultaneously.
The combined explosive payload of these missiles was enough to level an entire city block, yet they were instantly swallowed whole by the rapidly expanding azure black hole without so much as a spark. Obadiah's trump card had been effortlessly erased!
"No! That's impossible!"
Under Obadiah's disbelieving gaze, Su Mu flashed a diabolical grin and pushed the singularity forward.
Realizing his missiles were useless, Obadiah immediately engaged his thrusters into full reverse. He managed to put ten meters between them. Just as he let out a sigh of relief, he realized the Iron Monger had completely stopped moving away. Even with the thrusters burning at maximum capacity, the massive suit was slowly being dragged backward.
And right behind him was the terrifying, all-consuming azure abyss!
"NO!"
Obadiah manually overrode the safety protocols, overclocking the thrusters far past their limits. Even as the propulsion jets glowed red-hot and began to melt, the gravitational pull was absolute. His backward momentum only accelerated!
Finally, under the complicated gaze of Tony Stark, the solemn watch of the newly arrived Agent Coulson, and the terrified stares of the civilians, the previously invincible Iron Monger was entirely swallowed by the blue singularity.
The ten-centimeter-thick titanium alloy crumpled like wet paper under the cosmic gravity. The legs, the torso, and finally the head were violently twisted and sucked into the void until absolutely nothing remained!
The architect of this absolute destruction—the man everyone had assumed was on the verge of defeat—simply covered a yawn. He strolled out of the settling dust, his pristine white hoodie completely untouched by the grime, looking only slightly inconvenienced by his slightly ruffled hair.
The White Demon had once again used absolute, suffocating dominance to remind the world exactly who stood at the top!
With the Iron Monger erased, Su Mu walked slowly toward Tony Stark. He casually curled his fingers, manipulating gravity to yank a glowing, circular object from the wreckage toward his hand. It was the Iron Monger's power source: the Arc Reactor!
Gripping the reactor, Su Mu instantly felt the massive reservoir of energy within. He ran both the Six Eyes and his Energy Absorption at maximum overload.
After completely topping off his own reserves, the System violently absorbed the rest, pumping it directly into the Gojo Satoru template. Despite the exponentially higher requirements past 30%, the synchronization rate climbed steadily.
If the pattern held, at 40%, he would awaken another transcendental skill. He was highly anticipating it. What would it be? The true mastery of Cursed Technique Reversal: Red? At its absolute minimum, it was twice as powerful as Blue's maximum output!
As Su Mu approached Tony Stark, the System chimed:
[Template Synchronization Reached: 31%]
Tony looked like absolute hell. His helmet was gone, and one of his gauntlets had been completely ripped off. The Arc Reactor in his chest was flickering weakly, on the verge of dying.
Seeing Su Mu approach, Phil Coulson instinctively took a step back—the primal human reaction to a terrifying apex predator.
But Tony Stark showed no signs of fear. He looked at Su Mu, his eyes burning with intense scientific curiosity.
"How did you do that? Is it some kind of highly advanced, esoteric tech? Was that invisible shield some form of localized spatial distortion field?"
Coulson also leaned in, eager to gather more intel on the White Demon.
Hearing Tony's rapid-fire questions, Su Mu smiled lazily. "It's just my innate ability."
"A mutant...?" Tony muttered in disbelief. "Incredible..."
Su Mu didn't confirm or deny it. Aside from Energy Absorption, his abilities were entirely granted by the System, completely separate from the X-Gene. Still, letting them believe he was a mutant was fine. If anyone tried to use mutant-suppression tech on him in the future, they would be in for a very lethal surprise!
Suddenly, Tony gasped, clutching his chest in pain. The Mark III's reactor had completely died. He looked desperately at the glowing reactor in Su Mu's hand.
"Can you give that back to me? I need it to keep the shrapnel out of my heart."
Su Mu naturally had no intention of letting a hero he liked from his past life die so pathetically. He casually tossed the massive reactor to Tony.
"You owe me two Arc Reactors now."
"What?! That reactor was mine to begin with!"
"But it was in my hand, making it mine."
"That... fine..." Tony conceded. The guy had just saved his life; handing over an extra reactor was a small price to pay. It absolutely wasn't because the White Demon was terrifyingly strong. Nope. Not at all.
Observing the exchange, Agent Coulson quietly noted that the White Demon had a distinct interest in Arc Reactors. It was likely tied to his mutant abilities.
Stepping forward, Coulson flashed his badge. "Good evening, sir. I am Agent Phil Coulson with the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division. I was hoping we could have a word."
Su Mu stared intently at Coulson's receding hairline for a few uncomfortably long seconds, only looking away when Coulson started to feel deeply offended.
"Hmm. Looks like your job is taking quite a toll on you."
"Ah... yes," Coulson replied automatically, before quickly steering back to his primary objective. "I was wondering if you might be interested in joining an initiative we're putting together. Becoming an Avenger?"
Su Mu wasn't surprised. Nick Fury was laying the groundwork for the Avengers, and trying to recruit a powerhouse like him made perfect tactical sense.
He was about to decline, but then a very specific thought crossed his mind. The Tesseract—the Space Stone—was currently sitting in a SHIELD vault. And Loki's Scepter, housing the Mind Stone, would be arriving via express cosmic delivery very soon.
A diabolical, predatory smile spread across Su Mu's face.
"Of course. I would love to join."
Looking at the white-haired man's frivolous, deeply suspicious smile, Coulson suddenly felt an incredibly ominous premonition wash over him...
