Staring at the bizarre, dark tactical suit and the distinct target motif plastered across the man's forehead, Su Mu instantly recognized the assassin.
Bullseye!
The throwing knife from earlier was unmistakably his handiwork.
Su Mu quickly recalled Bullseye's background. In multiple comic iterations, the psychopathic marksman served as Kingpin's top enforcer. His sudden ambush here confirmed that Kingpin had indeed ordered the hit.
If this were anyone else—even another superhuman—they would have undoubtedly been skewered by Bullseye's unparalleled, lethal accuracy. But Su Mu was different. Even though his cursed energy reserves were practically running on fumes, the transcendental dynamic vision of his Six Eyes easily tracked the dagger's trajectory!
Still, Su Mu couldn't help but find the situation highly amusing.
Where exactly did this assassin get his confidence? Did a mere mortal, possessing nothing more than heightened precision, genuinely believe he could assassinate a god?
On the other side of the tunnel, Bullseye stared at the white-haired man, his heart pounding. Strong. He's unbelievably strong!
His initial throw was aimed perfectly at the man's brain stem. Yet, despite clearly being utterly exhausted from unleashing that apocalyptic attack above ground, the boy had effortlessly twisted his body to dodge it.
Bullseye's throwing knives weren't ordinary steel; they were forged with traces of Adamantium. The hyper-dense metal allowed his throws to effortlessly pierce concrete and practically break the sound barrier!
For the boy to dodge an Adamantium blade at that speed... he clearly possessed superhuman reflexes or another hidden defensive mechanism.
If the white-haired demon were still at his absolute peak, Bullseye wouldn't have dared to get within a mile of him. But right now? The situation was completely different!
"It looks like releasing that catastrophic attack took a massive toll on you," Bullseye sneered, twirling a dagger between his fingers. "Your reaction time and physical stamina are heavily compromised. If you were at full strength, I'd be dead meat. But right now? Hahaha... there's nothing more exhilarating than slaughtering a powerhouse with my own hands!"
Bullseye trembled with twisted, sadistic excitement. As a top-tier assassin, taking down a god-like entity when they were vulnerable was the ultimate high.
But to his absolute shock, the white-haired man didn't look the least bit panicked. It was as if Bullseye's threat didn't even register.
It was the look of a sickly, resting tiger watching a feral cat swagger into its den. The gap between them was an unbridgeable cosmic divide!
An ominous chill crept down Bullseye's spine. Without hesitation, he unleashed a flurry of Adamantium daggers, turning his arms into a blur.
Yet, the white-haired demon casually swayed and stepped through the barrage, dodging almost all of them with agonizingly precise, minimalist movements.
However, one dagger managed to graze the boy's shoulder. Bullseye finally exhaled a breath he didn't know he was holding.
He really is out of gas! He can't maintain that invisible spatial shield anymore!
Meanwhile, Su Mu was passively utilizing the absolute last scraps of his energy to reinforce his physical vessel and dodge. Through the Six Eyes, he instantly analyzed the metallurgical composition of the daggers. He recognized that the absurdly dense Adamantium was the only reason the blades possessed enough kinetic velocity to slightly pressure his weakened state.
Still, he felt zero panic. A mortal challenging a god? Unless his name was Tony Stark, it was nothing but a bad joke.
"I take it Kingpin sent you to assassinate me?" Su Mu asked unhurriedly.
Bullseye didn't answer. Instead, his throwing speed accelerated. He even drew a customized handgun, firing wildly into the tunnel. But guided by the Six Eyes, Su Mu casually sidestepped every bullet.
Even without a verbal response, the Six Eyes meticulously analyzed Bullseye's micro-expressions, heart rate, and muscle tension. The physiological data perfectly confirmed Su Mu's hypothesis.
"Tell me where Kingpin is," Su Mu offered lightly, "and I'll let you live. How does that sound?"
"You're the one with one foot in the grave, and you're offering me mercy?!" Bullseye barked, his face twisting into a manic laugh. "Go to hell!"
In a fluid motion, Bullseye pulled a collapsed, military-grade rocket launcher from his back, aimed it squarely at Su Mu, and pulled the trigger.
The rocket screamed down the enclosed sewer tunnel and violently detonated directly in front of Su Mu. A massive fireball consumed the corridor, bathing the damp walls in intense heat.
Bullseye finally lowered his weapon, panting slightly.
He's definitely dead. The assassin wiped some sweat from his forehead. Even completely drained, that white-haired monster had been terrifyingly hard to kill.
A cruel, ecstatic smile stretched across Bullseye's face. The high of killing a god was intoxicating!
"You seem very happy. Did you honestly think it was over?"
The calm, chilling voice echoing from within the roaring flames instantly froze the smile on Bullseye's face.
Then came the sound of cracking concrete. The demon's voice drifted out again.
"I will give you one last chance. Tell me Kingpin's coordinates, and I will promise to make your death quick."
Bullseye stared in absolute, paralyzing disbelief as the smoke and fire cleared.
The white-haired man stood perfectly intact. A dense cloud of shrapnel and fire hovered harmlessly in the air just inches from his body, utterly incapable of advancing any further.
But what truly horrified Bullseye was what the man was doing.
Su Mu had shoved his bare hand deep into the concrete wall of the sewer, gripping a thick bundle of subterranean municipal power cables. The dim emergency lights in the tunnel flickered and died as he violently drained the city's grid. At the same time, the minor cuts and bruises across his body were instantly vanishing!
He's absorbing electricity!
"You... you have another mutant power?!" Bullseye screamed, his mind completely breaking.
He instantly turned and sprinted down the tunnel as fast as humanly possible.
Damn it! Damn it all! An impenetrable shield, a god-like attack, AND he can absorb raw energy to recharge and heal?! How is anyone supposed to kill this monster?! Screw Kingpin! I'm not dying for a paycheck!
But before he could even make it ten yards, a terrifying, irresistible gravitational pull seized his entire body. Despite his peak human strength, Bullseye was helplessly ripped backward through the air.
Under his own despairing gaze, he was suspended right in front of Su Mu. An invisible, crushing spatial pressure immediately clamped down on his limbs, viciously twisting and snapping his arms and legs into grotesque angles.
Bullseye unleashed a bloodcurdling scream, completely neutralized.
...
The moment the rocket was fired, Su Mu had absorbed the ambient kinetic energy of the flying daggers and whatever traces of solar radiation permeated the grate above. It gave him just enough juice to reactivate the Limitless and reinforce his arm. He punched straight through the concrete wall, grabbed the live power cables, and drained the grid.
With his cursed energy reserves rapidly refilling, the Reverse Cursed Technique and the Limitless were back online. He was fully restored to his peak state!
The Reverse Cursed Technique rapidly generated fresh muscle tissue, physically pushing the embedded Adamantium dagger out of his shoulder. The blade clattered uselessly onto the concrete floor as the wound healed flawlessly.
Watching the terrified assassin try to run, Su Mu had flashed a brilliant smile, raised a hand, and playfully murmured:
"Universal Pull."
(Author's Note: A playful reference to Pain's Bansho Ten'in from Naruto).
Now, staring at the crippled assassin floating before him, his limbs twisted like pretzels, Su Mu asked again.
"So? Have you thought about it? Be a good boy and tell me where he is, and I'll make this painless."
Bullseye stared at the White Demon. The man's crystalline blue eyes were mocking him from beneath stark white lashes.
Yet, for a brief, terrifying second, Bullseye swore he saw a flash of sinister, chaotic black-and-red light swirling within those beautiful azure depths.
...
After systematically tearing Bullseye's twisted body apart—leaving behind only a few scattered Adamantium-laced bones—Su Mu finally confirmed the assassin genuinely didn't know Kingpin's current location.
(Note: Bullseye's skeleton is partially laced with Adamantium in this continuity).
Wilson Fisk was an incredibly paranoid and cautious man. He changed his safehouses daily, keeping his exact itinerary a secret even from his top enforcers.
Su Mu casually shoved his hands into his pockets and continued walking down the sewer tunnel. The floating blood and shrapnel suspended in his infinity finally dropped uselessly to the floor.
It was a slight pity he couldn't get Kingpin's location, but it didn't matter.
As the Six Eyes continued to level up, his sensory radius and X-Ray vision would expand exponentially. Once his spherical perception encompassed the entirety of New York City, crushing a fat mob boss like Kingpin would be as effortless as stepping on a roach.
Manipulating Cursed Technique Lapse: Blue, Su Mu effortlessly ripped the thick power cables out of the concrete walls, letting them float alongside him like loyal serpents as he continuously drained their current.
