── June ──
It was the day for y/n to hang out with the members for the first time. The last time they were all together was six years ago, but y/n feels different this time.
She got up early, took care of her girlie requirements, and texted J-Hope to let him know she's ready for them to pick her up.
J-Hope replied that the members are on their way.
Y/n waits patiently in the living room for the message telling her when to come down.
Y/n's parents emerge from their room, asking if she plans to have breakfast.
Y/n replies that Jungkook is the one preparing it, leaving her parents astonished that one of the members can cook so well.
Ten minutes later, she got a message saying they were already outside.
Y/n hugs and kisses her parents on the cheek.
Y/n's parents remind her to have fun and to use her self-defense skills if anyone tries to harm her. They also gave her some pocket money.
Y/n shuts the door behind her, walks to the elevator, and presses the button for the lobby.
Y/n messaged J-Hope to check if they were in the white or black van. J-Hope texted y/n that it was the black van and that he would get off so she wouldn't get on the wrong one.
"Y/n, over here," J-Hope called out.
Y/n turns around and spots J-Hope bouncing up and down.
"You can stop jumping up and down," y/n said, feeling shy.
J-Hope opens the door to the black van, and y/n jumps in and sits next to Suga. The black van pulls away and heads towards Lotte World.
"Y/n, are you alright? You seemed a bit dizzy," Jimin asked. "I feel dizzy if I skip meals," y/n replied, feeling nauseous. "We'll start having the breakfast I made for everyone at the Lotte World parking lot, so just hold on," Jungkook said.
Suga recommended y/n to sleep on his shoulder to avoid road sickness, which y/n agreed to. Y/n peacefully dozed off on Suga's shoulder while Jin watched.
Namjoon noticed and signaled to Taehyung.
"Jin, if you want to rest, you can lean on my shoulder," Taehyung joked. "No thanks! After our argument yesterday outside the library, I'm not speaking to you," Jin replied. "You two had a fight yesterday?" Jimin asked, looking puzzled.
"Yes, we did because apparently, everyone knew except me that Tae is returning to acting after our song release. It seems Mr. Taehyung, the actor, prefers acting over music," Jin said, feeling frustrated. "Wait a minute. You pick your solo song first, then the group song," Taehyung shouted back at Jin. "Guys, y/n is trying to sleep; if she wakes up angry, who knows what she might do?" Suga warned.
"If you all are going to argue like you did yesterday outside the library, maybe you should do it in the parking lot," y/n said, waking up annoyed.
"Tae and Jin, you're not kids anymore, and Jin—especially you; I'm saying this as your best friend—make things right with Taehyung. Allow Taehyung to pursue his acting ambitions. Who are you to tell him what he should do? And Taehyung, I'll back you fully on your upcoming projects," y/n said calmly.
"That's really nice of you, y/n; I didn't know you had such supportive words. Thank you for the encouragement you'll give me in my acting. I won't let you down, I mean, my fans," Taehyung said with a smile. "But y/n—," Jin said.
"No more excuses, Jin. Yesterday, you appeared to agree when I mentioned I was pursuing materials science instead of business," y/n replied. "Wait what?" everyone asked in confusion. "How come I'm only just finding out about this? Wasn't business your passion?" Suga questioned, staring at y/n.
"To be honest, I forced myself to like business to make my mother happy, and she was thrilled for me and began discussing Yonsei University. However, deep down, I knew that business wasn't for me. I've always been captivated by space. When I told my parents that I wanted to pursue materials science instead of business and go to POSTECH, my mom ignored me for months, while my dad supported my choice. It took my mom a long time to comprehend what I wanted to do with my life, and she eventually realized that she was wrong for pushing me too hard about business stuff. My mother knew I liked space, but she was concerned that I might struggle to find a good job in that area since it's quite competitive. I promised her that I would do whatever it takes to succeed," y/n said, getting emotional.
"That was the most touching speech I've ever heard," J-Hope said, trying to hold back his tears. "Sorry for interrupting your emotional speech, but we've already arrived at the parking lot." Jungkook asked, "Now who's hungry?" "We are!" everyone replied.
Jungkook then took out this bag and amazed everyone with the tasty breakfast he had made. He began distributing the dishes to each member according to their preferences, as everyone had different tastes.
For y/n, it was special. Jungkook knew the breakfast he made for her was different because there was one vegetable she wouldn't eat, and that was radish.
"This is for you. I recall you dislike radishes when we have breakfast," Jungkook said with a wink. "Thanks, chef master. As long as I don't see or eat a radish, I won't have an allergic reaction," y/n replied gratefully.
Everyone was eating while Jin mustered the courage to apologize to Taehyung.
Jin finished his meal first and asked Taehyung to step outside the black van for a talk. Taehyung agreed to take his dish with him since he hadn't finished it.
Namjoon, Suga, Jimin, and J-hope completed their meals while Jungkook and y/n were still eating.
"Listen, Tae, after y/n scolded me, which everyone witnessed, I really do apologize to you," Jin said, feeling terrible. "It's all good, Jin. I accept your apology," Taehyung replied as he finished eating and set the plate to the side.
Jin and Taehyung embraced while the other members watched from the windows, eager to tease both of them.
"Are you all finished with your hugs?" y/n asked, standing nearby. "Y/n, how long have you been standing there?" Jin asked while shoving Taehyung to the side. "Not too long, but everyone noticed, even the staff, your friendly hug fest," y/n added as she walked past them both.
"Where are you headed, y/n?" Taehyung called out. "I'm off to the nearest trash can to throw up; my breakfast was fine, but I sensed someone ruined my meal by adding radish," y/n shouted back.
The parking lot was silent and deserted; the only sound was y/n throwing up.
Suga jumped out of the van and rushed over to y/n with a water bottle. Jin noticed this and watched from a distance.
Taehyung told Jin to quit staring before he ends up vomiting too and to return to the van.
Taehyung entered the van and found Jimin, Jungkook, and J-Hope quietly discussing who was to blame for ruining y/n's dish and hoping she is okay in the back seat.
Taeyhung turns to face Namjoon and asks him quietly whether he was responsible for placing radish in y/n's meal. Namjoon admits it was him, but explains that it was tricky because Jungkook was keeping an eye on things.
Taehyung assumed no one overheard them; however, Jungkook was seated in the middle seat and had heard everything.
"So, it was Namjoon who added radish to y/n's dish. That explains the feeling I had when I turned to serve each member their food. Next time, I'll make sure to protect my bag better to stop this from happening again," Jungkook thought, his expression showing anger.
"Sweetheart, are you doing okay now?" Suga asked, concerned. "I think I got everything out, but the taste of radish is still lingering," y/n replied, feeling a bit better. "I brought a water bottle with me; I'm not sure if it will help, but I can get you some churros later if the taste persists." "I would really appreciate that."
Suga handed the water bottle to y/n, who took it from him and began to drink.
The female staff provides her with medication to prevent further nausea. She reassures y/n that this will help her feel better throughout the day.
Grateful, y/n thanks her, and the three of them return to the black van to join the others.
J-Hope, Jimin, and Jungkook change seats, allowing y/n to sit in the middle section to rest while Jungkook and Jimin take the back seat.
Jungkook asks Namjoon when they will wait in line for the amusement park to open, and Namjoon replies that it will open in 10 minutes.
Everyone gets off except for the 2 staff members who came with them.
The male staff informs Namjoon that they will come pick them up before the park closed; Namjoon nodded and goes to join the others.
Everyone is waiting for him in line, and Taehyung yelled at him to hurry up since there was a large crowd approaching. Namjoon rushes to catch up with the members and y/n in line.
They get inside but pause to rent the school uniforms available at the amusement park.
"This uniform is so cute! I need to try it on, I'll be right back," y/n said as she picked up the rental uniform and walked to the fitting room. "Why is she so suddenly cheerful? It's just a uniform," Namjoon remarked, feeling annoyed. "I believe she's been eager to try it on to take selfies for her social media," Jimin explained.
"Should we also wear the uniforms and take some pictures?" J-Hope suggested. "I guess that sounds fine," Taehyung replied.
Every member took a uniform and went to the fitting rooms to try them out. They all came out looking unexpectedly fashionable in the classic school outfits, laughing and taking pictures.
"I have to admit, these uniforms are kind of growing on me," Namjoon said with a smile. "Who would have thought that dressing like a student could be this enjoyable?" Jimin chimed in, taking a selfie with the group.
"You all look so fashionable," y/n said as she stepped out of the fitting room. "I see you guys are already taking pictures without me. Oh Tae, could you help me take some photos? I've seen your pictures on social media, and they look so professional." "Of course, I'd love to help you with that."
Taehyung approaches where y/n is standing, and y/n poses as Taehyung takes the pictures.
Afterward, they look at the photos together; y/n is impressed by how professional and artistic they appear.
"Wow, Taehyung, you really have a talent for this," y/n responds, smiling. "Thanks, y/n. I'm happy you like them," Taehyung responds humbly.
Y/n picks the pictures she wants to share on her profile feed and wraps it up to join the others for an incredible day at Lotte World.
