It was the last week of May before June arrived, the rain was pouring down, and y/n had plans to meet up with Jin.
Jin and y/n have been best friends since they were children, and their quality spent together has grown stronger than any friendship no one has ever known. They have similarities with the exception of two or three differences. For example, they're both scaredy-cats, and one enjoys a particular meal while the other dislikes it.
Y/n is carrying her backpack filled with supplies for the college entrance exam, she has this afternoon after spending time with Jin.
Y/n steps out of the apartment and arrives at the corner of Hyehwa Street, where Jin has been waiting for y/n for twenty minutes.
"I apologize for making you wait for twenty minutes," y/n said. "No worries, I get your struggles. As you were busy with your usual activities, I was simply observing the rain and thinking about a song," Jin replied. "Oh, a song?" "Yeah, a song. I'm planning to write it for my next album, but it's going to take some time." "Will I be the first to hear it?" "Absolutely."
Y/n and Jin wrapped up their brief chat and began walking with their umbrellas through the rainy weather toward school.
When they arrived at the school, they saw Namjoon, Taehyung, Jungkook, Jimin, J-Hope, and Suga waiting at the front gate.
"Hey Jin, what took you so long, dude?" Suga inquired. "Sorry, Suga, but y/n took 20 minutes," Jin replied. "Ah, it's always about y/n, y/n this and that. Seriously, man, y/n is the one holding you back," Namjoon said with frustration. "Hey, people like us take their time with stuff, you know. Besides, why are you so negative toward me?" asked y/n. "Because I don't like you at all; you seem the type of person to hold people back like my buddy here," Namjoon answered. "Gosh, what did I ever do to you, Namjoon?" y/n, shouted furiously.
Y/n began heading inside the school to get to the class.
Meanwhile, Jin decided to take charge and push Namjoon to repent for what he did. Namjoon didn't seemed to care. Jin tries for the second time, but Namjoon refuses.
"Well, if you're not going to apologize, I'd better keep going. I have a class to go to," Jin remarked fiercely. "I don't get why Jin made me say sorry to y/n; it's not my fault she's holding him back from everything," Namjoon stated, frustrated. "Listen, y/n isn't holding Jin back; you just need to understand girls," Suga responded. "Whatever," Namjoon scoffed.
During y/n's school lesson, she can't understand why Namjoon despises her so much. Y/n considered many reasons but couldn't pinpoint the cause. Perhaps if y/n confronted Namjoon directly about it, she might get an answer.
The lunch bell rang, signaling the end of class.
Y/n made way to the cafeteria, standing in line alongside other classmates, when Jungkook, Jimin, J-Hope, and Taehyung accidentally bumped into y/n.
"I apologize, I didn't notice you there," Taehyung said. "That's fine," y/n replied. "Oh hey, y/n, are you waiting in line as usual?" Suga questioned. "Yep, just like always," y/n answered. "Aren't you going to join Jin today or eat with us? It feels like it's been ages since you've been with us," Jungkook noted. "I was going to sit with Jin, but I can't seem to find him in his usual spot," y/n stated.
"Oh right, I forgot that Jin went to the music studio during this lunch break to work on his solo song," J-Hope recalled. "But don't worry about him; you're always welcome to join us so you won't be by yourself," Jimin encouraged. "Alright, I'll sit with you all," y/n agreed.
The four members and y/n grab their plates for lunch and begin to stroll down to the table where Namjoon is sitting.
"What is y/n doing here?" Namjoon demanded. "Y/n is going to join us at our table today, so be nice to her," Taehyung replied. "Why did you all invite y/n to our table? She can sit anywhere else but not here," Namjoon said. "Oh, come on, Namjoon, stop being so childish. Jin isn't here, and we're not letting y/n eat alone again, so you can either deal with it or find another place to sit," Suga said angrily. "It's fine; if Namjoon doesn't want me here, I can go eat outside," y/n offered.
Y/n opted not to join them today, so she began walking outside with her lunch plate. At this point, Suga noticed this and followed y/n so y/n wouldn't feel isolated.
"Hey Suga, where are you going? Leave y/n alone; y/n can handle herself," Namjoon shouted. "I'm going with y/n so y/n won't be lonely; you guys can stay here, and make sure Namjoon doesn't go near y/n," Suga yelled back.
"Seriously, man, what's your problem? Why do you suddenly dislike y/n?" said Jimin. "Since y/n came into Jin's life, y/n's been a true savior for him," J-Hope remarked. "If this hatred relates to the incident from 6 years ago, you owe y/n an apology," Taehyung replied.
"That incident was entirely y/n doing; I bear no responsibility, so why do you keep pressuring me to say sorry to y/n?" Namjoon retorted. "I don't appreciate the leader persona you're putting on; we should all be enjoying ourselves right now, but someone seems to enjoy spoiling the mood," Jimin commented.
"If you refuse to genuinely apologize to y/n, we might just have to restrain you and humiliate you in front of the school. Would that be something you'd want?" Jungkook asked. "No, that wouldn't be enjoyable. Stop looking at me with those puppy eyes, Jimin. If apologizing to y/n makes you all happy, I'll do my best, but my feelings of resentment toward y/n aren't going anywhere," Namjoon stated.
"Hey y/n, hold on a second," Suga called, struggling to catch his breath. "Hi, Suga. What's up? "Why did you follow me?" asked y/n. "Namjoon keeps killing the vibe in the cafeteria, so I thought it would be better to have lunch with you. I picked up some snacks from the convenience store, want to try some?" Suga offered. "Of course, what did you get?" y/n asked, peering into the bag. "I brought banana milk, cosmos tteokbokki, and kimbap for you," Suga said.
"How do you know these are my favorite snacks?" replied y/n. "Well, I remember you used to eat them when you were little, and Jin once tried the cosmic tteokbokki; he ended up weeping like a child because it was too spicy for him. But it seems you can handle spicy food just like I do," Suga explained.
"I can definitely manage it, but no one, especially Jin, knows that when it comes to spicy snacks like this chip, my cheeks tend to turn red," y/n remarked. "That's adorable," replied Suga. "What's adorable, my cheeks resembling blush?" "Yes, I would love to witness that."
"Um, Suga, do you have feelings for me?" "Ouch, you caught me. It's not that I just like you; I'm actually in love with you," Suga admitted. "Since when?" questioned y/n. "I think it began after the incident that occurred six years ago; that's when my feelings for you began to blossom. I was just too shy to tell you, but here I am, confessing my emotions six years later," Suga noted.
"That's really sweet, Suga, but if I start dating you, won't that hurt your reputation with the fans?" y/n expressed anxiously. "I believe we are all just humans in this world, and our fans should respect our relationships. If they can't do that, then they aren't true fans. Look at you; you've been our most devoted supporter since the very beginning. Even if I were to start a relationship, I would just hope to find balance between my personal life and my fans," Suga replied. "I see your point now," y/n acknowledged.
The bell rang, signaling the end of lunch; Suga and y/n packed up their food. Suga requested y/n to meet him at the gate before y/n headed off to see Jin later in the day, which y/n agreed to.
