Chapter 1 - The Weight of the Crown

In the farthest reaches of a dying universe, the void was screaming.

Massive warships tore through space, their slipstream engines burning like dying stars. Colossal waves of telekinetic force raw Psycho Blasts lanced through the dark, obliterating ships and shattering distant planets in violent flashes of crimson and gold.

From the main battleships of the Kinetas Monarchy, concentrated beams of pure force, telekinetic force, erupted into the void. On the hull-walks below the main cannons, elite Kinetas Manifestors channeled their Outer Telekinesis to hurl jagged Psycho Constructs, fighting alongside warriors who used Inner Telekinesis to unleash relentless Psycho Blasts. Flaring their glowing auras, the Monarchy's forces manifested colossal lances of pure force, telekinetic force, raining a nightmare of light down upon the fleet below.

The rebels, Kinetas themselves, flared their own auras and raised psychic force shields to fight back. But their defense was futile. Under the Monarchy's overwhelming assault, the rebel vessels buckled one by one, their hulls crushing beneath translucent pressure before shattering into jagged debris in the graveyard of the stars.

Inside the Aegis-7, the bridge was a chaotic storm of blaring sirens and pulsing red emergency lights.

At the center stood Commander Vaelen, a figure of ancient authority in his carbon-scored white and gold armor. The sacred Infinity symbol etched into his chest plate glowed with a faint, dying light. Weathered by a century of conquest, his silver eyes remained fixed on the forward viewscreen as two escort frigates blossomed into balls of fire, their hulls peeling away like paper.

"Commander, the rear shields are at twelve percent!" a captain shouted, his voice cracking with desperation.

"We can't keep taking this!" another barked, stepping forward from the tactical map. "Vaelen, if we stay in this bottleneck, they'll pick us apart one by one. We have to get out there and fight while we still have engines to turn!"

Vaelen didn't turn around. He watched a third ship a transport filled with his people vanish in a silent, blinding flash.

"It's too late," Vaelen whispered, his voice cutting through the panic on the bridge.

Ahead, the stars rippled and tore.

Emerging from the void, the Monarchy's primary blockade warped into reality, locking into a suffocating formation. These massive battleships were not forged of base metal, but of pure, high-density psychic force that pulsed with rhythmic light. Their vast silhouettes eclipsed the distant suns, plunging the bridge of the Aegis-7 into sudden shadow.

The exit was gone. The trap had been sprung.

Vaelen stared up at the lead battleship, a mountain of weaponry that made his own cruiser look like a speck of dust. The Infinity symbol on his chest pulsed once, as if sensing the doom ahead.

"Steady," Vaelen commanded. Even through the reinforced glass, he felt the crushing pressure of the Monarchy's collective Battle Spirits a heavy weight signaling the end.

He turned slowly to face his captains. The sirens faded beneath the low, dying thrum of the ship's failing core.

"There is no further retreat," Vaelen said, his voice carrying the weight of a death sentence. "We hold the line here."

"The Crystal must be protected at the cost of our souls. If the Monarchy reclaims it, the multiverse falls. Think of the evil our race has spread across the stars... the worlds we have broken. We cannot allow that cycle to continue. We fight to the final breath. If our bloodline must end here to save the multiverse, then let it be so."

The captains offered no protest. Fear was gone, replaced by a grim, shared purpose. They saluted in sharp unison a strike of steel gauntlets against breastplates echoing across the bridge.

Vaelen's eyes hardened as he turned back to the wall of enemy battleships.

"Release the warriors," Vaelen ordered, his voice ringing with cold authority. "Launch the Self-Telekinetics and the Manifestors, our Outer-Telekinetics. Let the Monarchy feel our wrath let them see how fiercely we will fight for our freedom, and that we will no longer be ruled by the King!"

Deep in the belly of the Aegis-7, the heavy bay doors groaned open. Dozens of warriors drifted into the vacuum before igniting their power, launching like streaks of light toward the monolithic battleships blocking the sun.

At the tip of the spear was Kael.

He surged forward with explosive momentum, silver eyes burning like white phosphorus beneath unruly black hair. His slick black and gold armor bore the scars of a dozen planetary sieges, giving his silhouette a predatory edge.

A violent, jagged field of Blue Tactile Telekinesis erupted around him, anchoring his body against the vacuum. As his fury mounted, his power surged out of control, crackling with the intensity of a collapsing star as it ignited at maximum power. For a Kinetas warrior, a Battle Spirit was no simple telekinetic force or physical shield it was the very essence of their kind, their absolute will to live and conquer made manifest in the void, snapping against the dark as a towering phantom of unfiltered desire while Kael tore through space.

Behind him, his elite squad surged forward at incredible speeds, a wave of cobalt, violet, and blinding white auras crackling against the black. With their Battle Spirits erupting around their obsidian armor, they looked like an unstoppable star-storm charging in to reclaim the sky.

But their momentum ground to a halt as they hit the intercept point, slamming into a wall of absolute authority: the Royal Paladins.

Standing in a phalanx of obsidian and gold, the Paladins held the line with oppressive, cold light. Behind them, Manifestors channeled Outer Telekinesis with massive weapon constructs drawn, while warriors using Inner Telekinesis held their fighting stances, Battle Spirits surging. They stood as one unbreakable tide, their collective power creating a crushing pressure.

From the center of that iron formation drifted Sylas Elyon, High Commander of the Monarchy.

His spiky white hair contrasted sharply with piercing silver eyes. He wore sleek battle armor with reinforced shoulder pads and a long cape snapping in the vacuum. Etched into his chest plate, the Infinity symbol glowed with the unforgiving authority of the throne.

Sylas's voice didn't need air to travel. Channeled through his telekinesis, his words resonated directly within their minds like a mental thunderclap, the sheer psychic pressure vibrating against their armor with heavy physical weight.

"Behold the fallen," Sylas projected, his tone cold and absolute. "Traitors to the throne. Traitors to the very blood and spirit that granted us the power of gods."

His gaze locked onto Kael, his eyes narrowing with icy disappointment.

"I expected more from you, Kael. Of all who served the crown, I believed you understood the weight of loyalty. To see you now among this filth is a stain upon your legacy. I watched your rise from a low-born warrior to a commander respected even by the royal line."

Sylas raised a gauntleted hand, pointing a single finger toward Kael as the space between them distorted beneath his overwhelming pressure.

"Yet you prove yourself a fool. You turned my sister against her own blood. Betrayed our people, our king, and your sacred duty. Both of you stand guilty of high treason, and the King's justice is absolute. Where is the Princess? Where is the Crystal she stole?"

His voice darkened, swelling into a mental roar that rattled the warriors' very spirits.

"Yield the Crystal now, Kael, and I may yet grant you mercy a lifetime of silence in the dungeon pits, rather than the executioner's blade."

Kael didn't flinch. His expression twisted into pure defiance, silver eyes locking onto Sylas with incandescent rage.

"You can keep your mercy, Sylas," Kael spat.

His Blue Tactile Telekinesis flared, warping the space around his gauntlets as his Battle Spirit surged to a boiling point.

"Your sister is my wife, and she owes nothing to your throne. She taught me kindness and compassion she opened my eyes to the evil of our king, our society, and the atrocities we committed. She stopped being a princess the moment she saw the monster you serve. Keep her name out of your mouth."

Kael's silver eyes burned with a dangerous light.

"You talk of treason? We butchered allies who trusted us, turning entire worlds to ash to feed the King's bottomless hunger! He isn't a ruler; he's a parasite harvesting life across the universe for raw power. We aren't traitors, Sylas. We're the only ones who woke up."

Sylas's features twisted into pure hatred. Hearing his sister named as Kael's wife was the final spark.

He dropped his hand a silent signal of absolute execution.

"Kill the rest! Leave Kael alive for questioning," Sylas commanded, his telepathic voice so dense it threatened to shatter the weaker rebels' minds. "Devour their Battle Spirits! Search the ships for the Crystal, and bring my sister to me alive."

The Monarchy soldiers surged forward in a synchronized, golden tide of death sweeping across the void.

"For the New World!" Kael roared, his Battle Spirit Energy exploding as he spearheaded the counter-charge.

The two armies collided with a silent, thunderous impact. Kael tore into the vanguard with lethal precision. A Monarchy Manifestor intercepted him, hands glowing as he conjured jagged telekinetic blades from thin air.

Outer Telekinetics, Kael noted, sliding back as the blades whistled past his throat.

Without hesitation, Kael flooded his muscles with Inner Telekinesis, channeling the power deep into his Battle Spirit to push his body past its limits. His physical form hardened with the density of his unwavering will to live, turning his martial art into something absolute. He lunged, catching the spectral blade with a bare hand and shattering the construct like glass.

Before the Manifestor could react, Kael buried a fist into the warrior's face, his Blue Tactile Telekinesis instantly splintering the man's hasty shield. His final strike crushed through the barrier, tearing through the warrior's skull. As the broken Battle Spirit spilled into the vacuum, Kael's silver eyes blazed, drawing the fading essence into his irises and absorbing it directly into his own core.

More warriors rushed him, but Kael pivoted, his strikes hurling them into the dark. Enemy Self-Telekinetics closed in, their hands blurring toward his pressure points. Moving with predatory fluidity, Kael parried the blows and retaliated with precise internal bursts, shutting down their biological and spiritual functions instantly.

Above, a squad of Manifestors rained down constructed spears and heavy blasts of force. Kael moved through the fire, his Battle Spirit flaring as he closed the gap.

Striking with surgeon-like precision, his Blue Tactile Telekinesis bypassed their external armor entirely. He drove his Battle Spirit Energy directly into the first Manifestor's core, flooding the man's internal circuits until his Battle Spirit overloaded, shattering his form from the inside out.

Whirling toward the next, Kael drove a palm into the warrior's chest, physically knocking the man's Battle Spirit out of his body. Before the spectral phantom could recover, Kael struck with a lethal knife-hand strike, his own Battle Spirit wrapping around his hand like a razor-sharp blade. He severed the spirit in two, drinking the energy straight into his silver eyes until it integrated into his own Spirit.

Kael rushed toward the main ship, but two Royal Guards suddenly flanked him. Their twin weapon constructs sang as they drove through Kael's guard, the glowing telekinetic blades sinking deep into his stomach. Blood and organs spilled into the cold vacuum as the jagged energy seared through his flesh.

Kael screamed, the sound carrying telekinetically as he began hammering his fists into the two warriors to force the blades out. Amidst the agony, his perception sharpened, and he saw them the vibrant, shifting weight of their Battle Spirits hovering above their physical forms.

Kael ignited his own Battle Spirit, the massive, translucent phantom rising above him. His voice boomed in unison with the spectral form: "Battle Spirit Ability: Hellfire!"

Focusing his Battle Spirit Energy into his hands, his aura flared into a scorching radiance. Each punch detonated on contact, unleashing Hellfire explosions that tore ragged, bloody holes through the guards' chests.

The two warriors spat blood into the void, but their cold smiles never faded. Fighting straight through the gruesome injuries, they shoved their blades deeper into his gut. While maintaining their hold, they raised their free hands, channeling Outer Telekinesis to manually manipulate their own quantum atoms guiding the particles to stitch their torn flesh and organs back together.

Kael scoffed at their effort. While they relied on Outer Telekinesis to force the physical world to obey, Kael's healing was an intrinsic, subatomic reflex. The moment his flesh was torn, his biology instinctively dragged his organs back into place and knit the wounds shut without a single conscious thought.

Before the guards could recover, Kael flooded his hands with searing Hellfire and seized them by their throats. His fingers sliced through armor, flesh, and their tethered Battle Spirits. The Hellfire detonated from within, obliterating their necks and hurling their bodies into the dark.

Instead of dissipating, the severed, flickering Battle Spirits immediately began trying to regenerate, desperately attempting to piece themselves back together to continue the fight. Kael's silver eyes flared with predatory hunger, acting as a vortex that dragged the struggling energy in, drinking the spirit essence directly into his irises until it integrated fully into his own Spirits.

He looked up just as a Monarchy battleship opened fire, discharging a massive wave of Outer Telekinetic energy a Psychoblast that rippled through the void with the crushing force of a dozen collapsing black holes.

As the blast rushed toward him, Kael charged his systems and invoked the Reverse Counter-Flow technique. Intercepting the searing tide, he redirected the vector of the Psychoblast, reflecting the massive wave of Outer Telekinetic energy straight back at the vessel. The reflected force slammed into the battleship, tearing through its hull and detonating its core.

Surging through the lingering fire and shredding through waves of warriors, Kael pressed forward until his silver eyes locked on his true target: Sylas.

The two commanders collided in the center of the chaos, their fists meeting with enough raw power to send a shockwave rippling through nearby frigates. They traded blows at speeds the eye couldn't follow. Sylas caught Kael with a heavy hook that bypassed his physical frame and struck his Battle Spirit directly, sending Kael spiraling out into the deep void.

Sylas was on him in an instant, his strikes targeting Kael's metaphysical functions. Fists tore through Kael's physical form, punching jagged holes through his torso. With each impact, pieces of his organs were ripped away, drifting aimlessly into the cold vacuum. Kael felt his systems beginning to fail his legs went numb, his lungs seized, and his heart slowed to a crawl. Sylas was shutting him down from the inside out.

Kael drifted, his body paralyzed and his internals exposed. Deep within, his Battle Spirit stirred, refusing to let the flame extinguish.

Focusing his Inner Telekinesis inward, Kael struck internal pressure points with microscopic precision. In a sharp burst of Battle Spirit Energy, he jumpstarted his nerves, while his Tactile Telekinesis acted as a magnetic force, snapping his drifting organs back into place and knitting his flesh at a subatomic level.

Just as Sylas's finishing blow arrived, Kael ignited. His Battle Spirit surged as he twisted in mid-air, dodging the strike with a violent burst of speed. He surged forward, fingers digging into Sylas's shoulder. As he struck, Hellfire erupted from his hand a concentrated explosion that shredded the Commander's nerve clusters and tore into the metaphysical fabric of his Battle Spirit.

Sylas's arm went limp, but Kael pressed the assault. He unleashed a relentless barrage, each strike detonating with Hellfire, shattering the Commander's defenses and overwhelming his internal systems.

Rebounding through the void, Sylas hissed. His free hand glowed with master-level telekinesis as he struck his own shoulder, jump-starting the flow of energy to his dead arm. The two warriors hung in the dark, their auras hissing like steam.

"I am impressed," Sylas remarked, wiping a smear of blood from his chest as his regenerative fibers began to knit flesh back together. "For a warrior of low-class strata, you have achieved an unparalleled mastery of Self-Kinetics. Your command of our martial arts of the Empty Fist surpasses most. Yet your style is altered. Why, Kael? Why sever our bonds? I regarded you as kin, only for you to betray us. You have corrupted my sister, turning her against her sworn duties, her own blood, and her betrothal as Princess to King Lucifer."

"My prowess is a reflection of your tutelage, Sylas. Your instruction in the Empty Fist allowed me to shape my path," Kael replied, his voice heavy with gravitas. "And you are right my style is different. Your sister taught me compassion, allowing me to weave that purpose into my fist and refine my technique. She opened my eyes to the ancestral paths, sharing the lost, secret techniques of our forefathers. I did not corrupt her; her defection was of her own volition. We are weary of servitude to a tyrant. The King's cycle of destruction must end. Join us, and help us protect the Crystal."

Kael leaned in, his silver eyes burning with desperate intensity as he gestured toward the silent, drifting ship. "Your sister... she has brought forth new life. Your nephew is aboard that vessel. The King will view a hybrid of low-born and Royal blood as an abomination. You know he will execute them both."

Sylas recoiled, his eyes widening in visceral shock. "Impossible. The Royal line has been sterile for millennia. Yet... I could intercede. I might sway the King to spare her, perhaps even the child. But you? You are beyond salvation. Unless you submit to judgment now, your life ends here."

"It is the truth. He possesses the resonance of Royal blood," Kael urged. "This is your moment of redemption, Sylas. Honor your kin and let us depart. I will not surrender."

Sylas stared into the void, his expression warring between ancient memory and cold resolve, until his features calcified into a mask of indifferent duty.

"My allegiance to the Sovereign supersedes all bonds of blood," Sylas said, his voice turning to ice. "Now that I know where she is, your continued existence is irrelevant."

Suddenly, Sylas's Battle Spirit detonated with an aura of absolute dominance. His silver eyes bled into a deep, jagged crimson, awakening the Eye of the Royal Spiritual Bloodline the dreaded Psychic Eyes that pierced the very fabric of reality. A bone-white horn erupted from his forehead, spiraling outward.

Above him, his Battle Spirit flickered into existence, a monstrous spectral manifestation that towered over the void; it possessed the same burning, red eyes as its master, staring down with cold, divine indifference. The phantom form vanished as quickly as it had appeared, condensing all its terrifying presence into Sylas's own frame.

"I will show you the authority of my Spirit," he hissed, his voice trembling with power, "and why you are nothing but a low-class warrior!"

Sylas moved faster than sight, seizing Kael by the head and hurling him through a chain of planets. Celestial bodies shattered like glass, lighting the void in fire and debris as Kael's body tore through their crusts. Sylas closed in, hands glowing with lethal precision as he struck Kael's pressure points, tearing holes through his form faster than his Inner Telekinesis could repair them.

Bracing against the onslaught, Kael focused his Battle Spirit into a dense, protective skin, layering his Tactile Telekinesis over the spiritual energy to reinforce his molecular durability to an absolute degree.

Sylas just laughed, his eyes glowing with malevolent light. "A shield of spirit and force? You'll need more than that!"

Sylas drew back his fist, space warping as he saturated the blow with the suffocating weight of his Royal Battle Spirit.

"Secret Technique: Vajra Strike!" Sylas roared.

The punch was not merely physical force, but metaphysical erasure. It collided with Kael's chest, shattering the synchronization of his Battle Spirit and deleting the very reality of that space. Where Sylas's knuckles made contact, Kael's defenses and body were erased from existence, leaving a jagged, hollowed-out void.

They slammed onto a nearby planet's surface, fissuring tectonic plates for miles. Kael kicked Sylas off, ripping the Commander's hand from the ruin of his stomach in a spray of blood. Collapsing against the cracked stone, Kael lay broken and mangled, his organs spilling into the dust as his body reeled from the erasure of its own form.

Kael's Inner Telekinesis surged in frantic, rhythmic pulses. Torn muscle knit with agonizing speed and shattered bone groaned as it forced itself to realign, dragging shredded flesh back into the crater of his torso.

Yet when he attempted to knit his respiratory system, he hit an impenetrable void. He convulsed, hacking up a fountain of dark blood. Half of his lungs were simply gone.

"What... did you do?" Kael wheezed, his vision blurring.

Sylas approached with the steady grace of an executioner. "Cease this futile exertion," he commanded, his voice cold. "You lack the mastery to recover from a strike of this magnitude. The Vajra Strike is an ultimate technique reserved for high-caste royalty. I did not merely rupture your flesh, Kael I erased the foundational essence of your lungs and your endurance pressure points. They have been unmade. They will never regenerate."

Sylas raised his gauntleted hand, his eyes darkening with a flash of cold regret. "I tried to offer you mercy. I would have let you live out the rest of your days in the dungeon pits. But you chose absolute defiance... so now I must end you."

Before he could deliver the killing blow, a massive wave of Outer Telekinetic force slammed into Sylas, arresting his advance and blasting the Commander back through the debris.

Vaelen landed between them, his power tearing wildly through the dust. A obsidian horn sprouted from his forehead and his eyes blazed crimson as he unlocked the full limit of his strength.

"Go, Kael! Get to your wife!" Vaelen roared, his aura flaring wildly against the dark. "She has the Crystal. Get your family out of this sector!"

"I can't leave you!" Kael shouted. "He'll kill you!"

"Then let it be so!" Vaelen roared. "The Princess, your child, and the Crystal must survive! You are the only chance our race has to create a future without blood and conquest. GO!"

Kael ignited his Battle Spirit Energy, hurling himself toward the hidden transport. He looked back once to see the horizon detonate as their fists collided. Tearing through the remnants of the Monarchy blockade, he reached the ship.

The door hissed open, and Kael stumbled inside. Through blurred vision, he saw his wife, the Princess, holding their child.

Aurelia stood in the center of the bay, a vision of regal grace even amidst the cold telekinetic-forged metal of the rebel ship. Her long white hair fell over her light brown skin and her white and gold gown. Her silver eyes locked onto him with terror and relief.

Around her neck, a delicate necklace held the Crystal a deep, brilliant red stone that pulsed with a soft, rhythmic light like the heart of a dying star.

Kael rushed to her, his breath whistling through his damaged lungs. "Are you... are both of you okay?"

He looked down at the bundle, and the chaotic universe faded. The infant looked back at him with wide, curious silver eyes that mirrored his own. A shock of tufted white hair sat atop a forehead of light brown skin the perfect, living blend of a low-class warrior and a high-born Princess.

Aurelia pulled Kael into a fierce embrace, her hand trembling against the jagged, unhealed wound in his side. "I'm so happy you're alive," she whispered, her voice breaking. "Kael... did my brother do this?"

Kael pulled her closer. "Don't worry. As long as you and our son are safe, I'm fine."

"Hurry! There isn't much time!"

A rebel scientist, a Kinetas smeared in construct-oil, let out a shaky breath of relief. "You still have the Crystal," he whispered, eyes fixed on the pulsing red glow at Aurelia's throat. "If that fell into the King's hands today, the multiverse would have folded before the first shot was fired."

The scientist gestured toward the darkened hangar. "Move quickly. Commander Vaelen prepared a destination hidden so deep in the cosmos that the Monarchy will never find you. If you stay hidden, you will be ghosts."

They followed him to a sleek vessel humming with restless power, its hull forged from a matte-black substance that seemed to swallow the light.

"This ship is unique," the scientist whispered, ushering them toward the hatch. "It wasn't built in a shipyard. Our greatest Manifestors sacrificed their very lives, burning their Battle Spirits and life-force to weave this hull out of pure, solidified Outer Telekinetic energy. Because it is made of pure construct force, it is virtually indestructible and entirely undetectable to Monarchy scanners."

He touched the dark, vibrating surface with quiet reverence.

"Our people gave everything to build this shield for you. But remember: once you enter space, you cannot use your power. If you flare your Battle Spirit Energy, the metaphysical ripple will pierce even this construct hull and alert the King's trackers. You must remain dormant to keep the Crystal hidden."

Looking at them with a heavy, desperate hope, he added, "Rebuild our race. You are our second chance."

The scientist engaged the ignition. The craft detached from the fleet and vanished into a localized warp-fold. Through the viewport, Kael and Aurelia watched in silence as Monarchy warships tore through the remaining rebels. They were leaving their home, their people, and their history behind.

They drifted through the seams of reality for what felt like an eternity, until the ship finally began to decelerate.

Below them lay a planet of impossible scale a realm so vast it made entire galaxies look like mere countries.

They descended through a sky of soft violet and gold, landing in a quiet, lush valley that smelled of rain and wild growth.

Aurelia and Kael stepped out of the ship, their boots sinking into the soft earth of their new home. Aurelia looked at the horizon and smiled, a tear tracing a path down her cheek.

"I'm hopeful," she said softly. "The day of our freedom is the same day our beautiful baby boy takes his first breath of clean air." She looked down at their son. "The first Royal Kinetas in ten thousand years... and the first who won't be a puppet for a tyrant King."

"He is a special one," Kael agreed, resting a hand on his son's head. "What should we name him?"

Aurelia didn't hesitate. "Raphael Elyon. He will be the first, Kael. The one to change everything."

"Raphael," Kael repeated, testing the weight of the name. "I like it. But Aurelia... we have to lay low. We must follow the rules of this planet and live like regular people. We cannot call attention to ourselves; if we do, the Kingdom could find us. Our unique abilities are a beacon. If we remain dormant, I don't believe they can track us to this universe but if they ever do find this planet, they will kill us for sure."

Aurelia nodded, clutching the necklace tight. "I know. I only hope these people aren't as violent as ours. I want him to be raised with morals not bloodshed and conquest."

Kael looked out over the quiet valley, the gray glow of his eyes finally fading into a calm. For the first time in a century, there was no screaming of engines or clashing of steel. There was only the wind.

"Starting today," Kael promised, "we aren't warriors. We're just a family."
