The next moment, thousands of cannonballs rained down on the Silent Mary. Each cannonball ripped a hole into the already severely damaged ship. Salazar screamed in rage as the ship was destroyed and the phantom snakes continuously bit him.
Rigel took advantage of the confusion and restored Diabolus to its complete form, without it, it would be difficult to deal with the ghosts. Diabolus began swallowing one ghost after another, and Salazar realized he couldn't continue like this.
With his eyes burning with fury, he lunged toward the Pearl, then, in a moment, he leaped and landed directly in front of Jack.
There was no room for any talk of revenge, only a cry of rage and a phantom sword greeted Jack.
"Aaaaaah!" Jack screamed in fright, jumping aside and drawing his own sword to defend himself from the second blow.
"Sparrow!" Salazar shouted in hatred.
"Captain Salazar." Jack greeted amidst the fighting. "You look... radiant."
Salazar snorted furiously. "Even if I'm destroyed right after, I'll still take you with me, Sparrow!"
"Sorry, although I appreciate the invitation, I really have to decline. I already have a sea ghost as my date for the ball." Jack shouted back.
"Ha! You're really hilarious, aren't you?! Hombre!" Salazar feigned laughter and continued his hateful attack. "I want to see you make a joke about my sword embedded in your chest!"
Rigel, on the other side, was finishing off the last ghosts. Diabolus swallowed them all, turning them into nothing. Just as he was about to control it to attack another, a scream distracted him.
Rigel turned his head and saw Jack, the monkey, pointing to his left, Rigel saw a ghost running straight towards him with a sword in hand.
Rigel swallowed hard, releasing the Diabolus into Silent Mary. He quickly summoned another in front of him, and before the ghost's surprised eyes, the image of a giant snake's mouth swallowing him submerged him.
Rigel took a deep breath, sitting on the floor, feeling his heart pounding. He turned to the monkey and said. "Thank you, Jack."
The monkey screamed, and Rigel understood that he said. "You're welcome."
Rigel controlled Diabolus to continue attacking the ghosts, but this time he split Diabolus in two, each seven and a half meters long. Still enormous, they continued to attack the ghosts.
"We're out of cannonballs, Captain!" Anamaria shouted at him.
Rigel looked at the Silent Mary, although it appeared more destroyed, the ship didn't look like it was going to sink at all, in fact, it was slowly healing itself.
He narrowed his eyes, thinking the ship itself was the source of their curse, but it didn't matter now, the last ghost on the Silent Mary had been swallowed.
Rigel turned his tired gaze to Jack and saw that he was having difficulties. Sighing, he made the two ghostly green snakes merge and advance towards Salazar.
Salazar realized this, screaming in anger, he tried to pierce Jack's head, but it only left a slight cut on his cheek before being swallowed by Diabolus.
Before leaving, like a true 'villain', he shouted one last time. "I curse you, Jack Sparrow!"
Jack pursed his lips and shouted back, "Get in line!" He sheathed his sword as if he were responsible for Salazar's defeat.
Of course, nobody was paying attention to Jack now, which he realized, looking to one side, looking to the other, he thought for a moment and spoke. "Well, I can consider this my victory when I tell this story in the future."
Rigel knew nothing of what Jack was thinking, he shrunk Diabolus to calm his magic, keeping him nearby just in case.
Jack, the monkey, jumped onto his shoulder, he looked at the monkey and petted it, thanking it again, then turned his gaze back to Silent Mary.
"Anamaria, come closer!" Rigel requested.
"Aye, Captain!" she shouted back.
Rigel didn't have to wait long to land on the Silent Mary, the Adventure book reappeared before him.
[Congratulations, writer, for updating the attributes of the "Figurehead".]
[Figurehead (Silver)]
[Type: Bound Equipment - Ship (Only obeys the Writer and can only be attached to a ship.)]
[Note: The Figurehead form can be freely adjusted its appearance when first attached.]
[Effect 1: Live ship -> When placed on a ship, it gains a life of its own, loyal to the Writer, and the figurehead can move normally, and both the figurehead and the attached ship can slowly heal.]
[Effect 2: Hidden First Mate -> The ship can now navigate itself and control the objects within it.]
[To upgrade the Figurehead to (Gold) you need to board one of the other 2 legendary ships, they are: Flying Dutchman and Queen Anne's Revenge, good luck, Writer.]
Rigel looked at the words in the book and his eyes lit up.
Effect one was improved, now the figurehead could move normally, which was great, plus the boat could heal slowly.
Effect two was even better, it was practically a smaller version of the Triton's sword ability, working on the ship itself and requiring the figurehead to control it, but the figurehead was loyal to Rigel, so there was no problem.
In unexpected situations, the ship could act to defend him, and he no longer needed crew members to navigate it.
Rigel was very pleased, looking forward to further improvements when the Figurehead was promoted to gold and then platinum.

[A/N: You know, I always found it strange that the Silent Mary's name was in English. After all, it was a ship of the Spanish Royal Navy, why would they use an English name?
I looked it up and saw it was for marketing reasons. This made me wonder if I should change the name back to Spanish, but at the end I gave up. I'll just consider it another plot hole in this universe and that's it, it remains Silent Mary.]
