Bonus Chapter [4] - 320 Power Stones

Rigel watched as Jack's skin seemed to improve slightly, the syphilis spot quickly fading, and Jack stuck his tongue out while grimacing.

He swore he had never tasted anything so awful, but feeling his body lighter and the itching in his neck, pelvis, and throat disappearing, Jack knew it had worked.

"Well, that was awful, but it was worth the price." Jack complained, handing the vial back to Rigel.

Rigel simply put the bottle away before taking out the other one, this one had a strange appearance, as if it were a skeleton embracing the bottle. Jack frowned, but said nothing, waiting for Rigel to speak.

Rigel looked at Jack with interest and spoke with a growing smile. "The function of this potion is very simple, to make bones grow, simple as that."

"Wasn't this supposed to cure teeth?" Jack asked, confused.

"Well, wouldn't it be better to get new teeth?" Rigel said in an incredibly soft and expectant voice.

Jack wasn't stupid, he looked at Rigel's amused face and remembered the magic brushes chasing him. Rigel clearly had a sadistic streak, which meant...

"Look, I just remembered I don't really need new teeth! Gibbs! I'll leave that honor to you!" Jack jumped away, wanting to escape.

Gibbs, Will, and Elizabeth, who were nearby, jumped in fright. They had also already understood what Rigel wanted to do, so they turned and ran even faster, they didn't want Jack to point them out right after.

"No thanks!" Gibbs shouted as he ran off. Will and Elizabeth didn't say anything, they just ran away quickly.

Rigel chuckled and waved his wand, and soon Jack was floating in front of him with an extremely sad face.

"Rigel, no, Mr. Black, please, I really don't want new teeth!" Jack pleaded.

"Jack, you already made a deal with me, how can you go back on your word now?" Rigel asked, feigning naiveté. "If you do that, no one will trust my word anymore!"

"No! I'll never say anything about it! Mr. Black! You're the most trustworthy! We all know that!" Jack promised quickly, still looking at the potion with evident fear.

Rigel sighed and shook his head, turning to the group of pirates spying from afar, he called out. "Gibbs! William! Get me some lines! We've got some teeth to pull!"

Gibbs trembled, but seeing Jack's state, he didn't dare argue. Will wasn't much better, he just nodded and quickly followed Gibbs. They ran to look for lines while Jack shook his head as fast as he could. "No! No! No! Stay away from me!"

Half an hour later, Jack was toothless, his mouth still bleeding, glaring at Rigel with obvious anger.

Gibbs and the other pirates holding him looked somewhere between frightened and trying to stifle laughter.

Not that Jack had suffered, Rigel had given him an anesthetic, so he didn't feel a thing during the tooth extraction, but even so, the sensation wasn't pleasant!

Rigel ignored him and made him drink the potion. Jack almost vomited, this potion was even more horrible than the last! However, Rigel wouldn't let him spit it out, he could only swallow the awful potion.

Rigel nodded after watching Jack drink. "It'll take a few hours to kick in, it'll itch quite a bit during that time, so hang in there. I'll stay close to check on you. For now, I'll head back to the Interceptor."

"Besides, I wouldn't leave if I were you. The compass unleashed a curse as soon as you handed it over, it released your greatest fear. Unless you want to face a bunch of ghost sailors alone, feel free to leave." Rigel seemed to remember and warned.

He turned to Will and nodded. "Remember what I said, William." He winked and pointed his chin toward Elizabeth.

William gave a wry smile, but still nodded, he really wanted Rigel to leave quickly. Elizabeth was already hiding behind him, looking at Rigel with a mixture of dread and curiosity.

He cheerfully waved to the pirates before taking a boat and rowing towards the Interceptor.

All the pirates, Will and Elizabeth, looked at Rigel's figure leaving with fearful eyes and turned to Jack.

Jack, toothless, stared fixedly at the sky for a long moment, the only words that escaped his toothless mouth with difficulty were. "I hate Witches!"

Jack thought he could adopt that phrase as his life motto.

Gibbs approached with a bottle of rum and handed it to Jack without saying anything, just maintaining an embarrassed smile. Jack glared at him, but still took the rum.
