As a young, freshly employed detective, I was on fire to put my hands on the first case I could receive or face it by coincidence. I wasn't really caring about how I would receive my first case; it was all about having it now.
Maybe some of you would see it as a strange thing or a good thing that it's back to your culture. I've been living with my mother after my dad passed away 12 years ago. It's my 21st birthday night. My mother had just made a great and sweet cake. I don't think that I could find something like it in any shop, no matter what the class of that shop is. My mom's cake will always be the best for me.
After the birthday has finished, which was only containing me and my mom only, ohh..how rude..I just went with the flow and forgot to introduce myself...my bad, guys, I'm Marlon, and as I mentioned before I'm 21 years old now and I'm a fresh employed detective..maybe it's a bit strange for you that I'm graduated and employed as a detective at such a young age like that..OK..a pretty young actually but all of these due to my "high IQ and skills," as my Oxford professor mentioned to my mother before so…I'm kind of a genius...maybe? Anyways…after my mom went to sleep, I decided to clean the lower floor of our 2-floor house, so I got everything out and started working to make it as clean as a mirror. When I was cleaning the living room, I tackled a box while I was moving other stuff. I got up, and I was remembering where I took this box from. When I couldn't remember at all, I just said, "Well…taking a look would be a lot more beneficial than just playing hide-and-seek with my mind memory," so I opened the box, and what I found was my mom's old stuff…that box was full of feelings and memories for real. It's…touching? Maybe... I'm not that good at picking words honestly… No one's perfect, as you know.
While I was checking mother's old stuff box, I found pictures of me and her and…Dad, and games I used to play when I was young. Her wedding dress was packed there too, but…between all this normal stuff, there was a folder…an old one, actually, like it's from before 10 years ago or even more, but…why would Mom have such a folder like that? She wasn't working at any kind of office job. Ok…that's a bit strange…Just let's take a look in it; Mom won't mind anyways.
The first thing I saw when I opened the folder was a kind of note that contained phone numbers, addresses, names, dates and times, locations, and also pictures.
That was obviously weird to me, and not only to me; it would be abnormal for anyone else for sure, but...is it? The detective game?!! That game was pretty famous in my childhood, and it was one of the reasons that made me want to become a detective. It was realistic for a game and was cheap too; it was the great combination for any bored person back then. I remember that Father told me that he would get me one for my 9th birthday...but unfortunately he passed away before my birthday then...It was such a sad memory to recover. Maybe this is it? The gift he told me that he would give it to me as a birthday gift, but he couldn't then…but why did Mom hide it from me? Maybe she forgot or probably not to be a bad memory for me… At least I found it now; this will be so much fun, of course.
I took the game folder out of the box and had a seat to take a proper look at it and to try it; a little break won't be bad, right?
When I opened the folder, I looked at the notes, and one of them contained the following items: 1- Knife 2- High-acid 3- Shovel 4- Plastic bags 5- medicine for sleep issues
It looks like Father had such a high taste in choosing the cases for me. The classic killing crimes, I left that note, then I looked on the one that had a familiar location for me; it was "The Night Bridge." That place was where my mom and dad met for the first time. This is a good one from your father—a really good one.
Then I took the address note, and what was written in it was our house and a strange place I didn't know; it was something like coordinates. After this, I checked the names note, and this was really odd. I think father wrote all the notes of this game cuz the names which are written in it were my father's name and mother's name also… let's get all the other notes at once. the phone numbers belonged to my father and his manager at the life insurance company he worked at and the dates and time note was literally the weirdest one among all of them. It contained my birthday date, 11/22/2001, and other date I really can't tell what's about it, it was 12/12/2010 it's actually looks sorted in a creepy way then comes the pics…there were only 2 pics the first one was me and my parents at my 9th birthday party, and the…second one was…for my dad's corpse… he was laying on the snowy ground dead… it was shocking for me to see that pic. He was stabbed many times; it was too obvious on his white shirt that was ripped off him due to the stabs he got and the blood that was around his dead body, well… It looks like my father wasn't the one who wrote the notes, but...that shadow in the picture! It's a shadow of a woman!
Could it be?!! Oh no, no, of course not! I must be gone crazy to think about that or… I'm right? Is this my mother's shadow?!
