Emily Carter stood in front of the large wooden door, her hands shaking.
She didn't belong here.This place was too luxurious, too expensive, too dangerous.
"Miss Carter, he is waiting for you," the man in a black suit said coldly.
Emily took a deep breath and pushed the door open.

"Sit," he said.
Emily sat down, trying not to show fear.
"You know why you are here," Alexander said calmly, flipping through a document.
"My father's debt… I will pay it back," Emily said.
Alexander suddenly laughed, a low, dangerous laugh.
"Pay back? Your father owes me two million euros. You? An intern? How are you going to pay me back?"
Emily said nothing.
Alexander stood up, walked slowly toward her, and stopped right in front of her. He leaned down slightly and looked straight into her eyes.
"There is one way," he said.
Emily's heart started beating faster."What way?"
Alexander's lips curved slightly.
"Marry me."
Emily froze.
"I need a wife," he said. "You need money. It's a fair deal."
"That's insane. I'm not marrying you," Emily said immediately.
Alexander's expression turned cold instantly. He grabbed her chin gently but firmly.
"You don't have a choice," he said quietly.
"If you don't marry me, your father goes to prison tomorrow."
Emily felt her world collapse in that moment.
Alexander let go of her and walked back to his desk.
"Think carefully, Miss Carter," he said."By tomorrow, you will either be my wife… or your father will be a criminal."
Emily stood there, her hands trembling.
