Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The Face Behind the Shadow

The tension in the opulent hall of the Tokyo underground reached a breaking point as the figure in the Godfather's chair leaned forward. Lucas, the doctor with the sharpest eyes, squinted through the dim light at the man who commanded the city's most feared rowdies. His heart skipped a beat, and his clinical detachment vanished, replaced by a shock so profound he could barely speak. "Chief... is it you?" Lucas whispered, his voice trembling as he recognized the features of a man long thought dead.

The Godfather stood up, his presence commanding the entire room, but his expression was one of equal disbelief. He looked at the four elderly warriors and the two detectives, his eyes softening with a recognition that spanned decades of friendship and war. "Are you Lucas, Savior, Martin, and Ziven?" he asked, his voice echoing with a familiar warmth. "How are you all? Why are you here? I am Arnold!"

The revelation hit the team like a physical explosion, leaving Sam and Patel completely paralyzed with confusion. They had spent weeks investigating the death of Arnold in a 2065 flight crash, yet here he stood, the king of the Japanese underworld. Arnold looked at his old friends, the men he had fought beside in the Great War, and felt the weight of five years of silence finally lifting. The "deceased" father of Stir was alive, reigning over a hidden empire in the heart of Japan.

Arnold began to recount the incredible story of his survival and the events that led him to this high-throne of shadows. He explained that five years ago, the flight from Russia had indeed crashed, but it was excavated by a secret group before the authorities arrived. Arnold had been pulled from the wreckage, barely alive, and in the chaos of the recovery, his passport and identity had been lost forever. Stranded in a foreign land with no way to return home, he had to adapt to survive.

He told them how he had risen through the ranks of the local rowdies, eventually becoming their Godfather through sheer discipline and wisdom. "We are doing only coolie works," Arnold insisted, looking Sam and Patel in the eye to prove his integrity. He explained that his syndicate focused on labor and protection, strictly avoiding the crimes that plagued other Japanese gangs. He had settled here to find peace in a different way, never knowing his friends were suffering back home.

Sam stepped forward, breaking the emotional reunion to explain the grim reality of why they had traveled across the world. He showed Arnold the photo from the grandchild's camera, pointing to the man with the green mark on his forehead who had committed the abductions. Arnold's face darkened instantly as he studied the image, his eyes flashing with a dangerous, protective fire. He told the team that the man in the photo was not one of his own, but a member of the rival gang of Stefen.
