Mei walked in the room, seeing her husband bleeding from a huge gash on his lower body. His appearance was disheveled and it had looked as if he rolled around in the grass for an hour. His middle length, wavy white hair was in a state where it looked like a wet mop. His face usually spotless and smooth was covered with dirt and a scar, and his black and grey robes severely damaged.
"Stay right there! I'll get a healer to come by!"
She instantly moved, running up to him and mounting his arm across her neck onto her shoulder and letting him lean on her.
"Thank you, I'm not too hurt. We shouldn't waste a bunch of money on a healer to come by."
But Mei responded with a skeptical and slightly pouty expression, her expression representing that of one where you would feel mocked but also know they feel pity for you at the same time.
"Really? Not too hurt? It's amazing you can even stand with such a wound! Meanwhile you have the gall to say that you are fine."
Her expression shifted to one of slight irritation, but had an extremely obvious undertone of worry and pity at seeing her husband in such a state.
Right as she said this his expression basically took a full right hand turn. Instead of having a face that would be described as one who is in pain but trying his hardest not to show it, rather his face showed that of instant submission!
"Okay, okay we can call the healer..."
Mei smiled lightly as he submitted, ruffling his hair in response. His hair could be described as a wet mop before, but now it was a birds nest.
"Good, now go sit down and wait. Don't try to exert yourself."
He did as he was told; he walked over to a rather nice white couch nearby and sat down. He sighed in relief as he was finally able to rest.
But Ivan had other plans rather than just letting his father rest!
He needed information!
So he scurried over with his little legs, determined so interrogate his own father and learn more about how he was hurt.
"Daddy what happened?"
His dad looked down, although he was in great pain he would not show it to his son. So he responded as well as someone who had just been dug into by a blade could.
"Well, while I was participating in the fight, one of my opponents used a weapon relic on me which was a blade that worked with fire. Basically, he could condense the fire onto his blade and the physical properties of the blade and the fire merged together to create a fire blade which was able to cut through me very easily, it would also have burned me but i used my own body to release water that stopped it from burning me. Since the water effect was greater than the fire one, it countered it. However, the blade was still able to cut me."
He explained not expecting a mere two year old to get it, but due to his pain he couldn't be bothered to put it in simpler terms; especially terms such a young child would be able to fully understand.
"Daddy, how was the water effect greater?"
This left a great surprise on the dads face, Ivan had actually understood him and even asked a question. So he responded, now being slightly invested in the conversation.
"Well, his was a Relic and I used Velsit. His relic was a minor class relic that had only a small concentration of Li stored in it. Basically, my bodies Velsit is scaled by how many current Xin cores I have and the more xin cores, the more velsit and the more velsit the more Li you can release and the more concentrated it is. I am a Midstreamer class Transcendent and he only used a Minor class relic. I only had to release 5% of my bodies Li storage to counter it. Li is stored in your Xin cores but Velsit allows you to store it in your whole body as a certain form, which lets you release it. Basically, the more xin cores the more velsit the more velsit the more Li you can output. Li is all things physical like elements. My bodies Li is adapted mostly for releasing water, because when you store relics in your mind your body it effects what you are adapted to. Say I had relics that delt with fire, then my body would be adapted to releasing fire. They are all connected in a way."
Of course, if he had not expected Ivan to understand his previous words, there was no way he expected Ivan to comprehend what he had just explained. One a seven year old would understand maybe, but this would take someone of more experience to fully grasp.
If his previous words were like a hill to climb for Ivan to understand, then this would be like Mount Everest back on earth!
Ivan giggled like a two year old would, however his next few words differed from his childish demeanor.
"I get it daddy, but can you tell me what all the classes are?"
His dads expression shifted from one of slight surprise to if someone back on earth had seen a ghost! But then his surprise slightly dwindled away and reshaped into skepticism.
Was this child serious? Did he actually comprehend that fully?
He had to test if he actually understood or he was just acting like he did.
"Repeat to me in simple terms what I said."
Ivan smiled, he had expected his dad to say this.
"Well, basically his relic was weaker than you by a lot because you were a higher class and the Li released from his relic was easily counter able because your Li is more concentrated and you released higher amounts. Not only that but the amount of Velsit you have in your body is determined by the number of Xin cores you have. The amount of Li you can use and how concentrated it is depend on how much velsit you have. Li is all of physical existence too you said so that's why it formed into water. Also, the element that you are used to releasing is dependent on the relics you have."
At this, it was not as if he had seen a ghost anymore, but had seen an animal speak human language!
"Well, uhm. You're correct. Uh... Basically there are eight confirmed ranks and one theorized rank. Miniscule, Midstreamer, Indomitable, Radiant, Iridescent, Demi-Immortal, Immortal, Demi-God, and then God is theorized to exist. The Relic ranks are ranked by which class you have to be to use them. Minor, Middle, High, Peak, Lustrous, Eternal, Eurasic, and Leniec."
Ivan nodded his head as his dad explained to him what all the classes were. This information was beyond valuable to him, he could not risk forgetting any of it, so he paid very special attention to everything his father was saying.
'Finally! I have learned a fuck ton of information now... All these classes.. I need to learn how big the power difference is between each one.'
"Daddy how much more powerful is each class than the other one?"
Now the dad was not slightly invested, he was full on absorbed into it.
"Okay, it would take 10 Minisucle's to beat one midstreamer, 50 midstreamers to beat one Indomitable, 1000 Indomitables to beat one radiant, 200 Radiants to beat one Iridescent, 60 Iridescent's to beat one Demi-Immortal, and Immortals cannot be beat by any amount of Demi-Immortals, same goes for Demi-Gods. No amount of Immortals can harm them."
Ivan made sure to pay extra attention as his father explained each difference between each rank. He was absolutely fascinated by this, after all he had been trying to learn this for over 2 years and he was finally able to hear it for himself.
'This is great, but I wonder how hard it is to break through to each rank...'
But before he could ask about that, suddenly Mei had opened the door to reveal the healer who was previously mentioned by her. This caused his father to come back to his senses and no longer be absorbed into the conversation with Ivan, similarly Lucy came out of her and Ivan's room to see what all the commotion was.
"Welcome Elaina, the last time you came by our baby still wasn't born but look. He's two years old now! Anyway, we needed to stop by because my husband, Ivan was injured."
(Authors Note: Remember Ivan's father is also named Ivan.)
She said the first part with a nostalgic expression, while the second part was said by her with a more serious expression and a bit of a worried undertone to it.
The healer named Elaina happily smiled, even when Mei spoke of her husband being injured.
"He is such a cute baby! I'm sure he will grow up to be a fine young man one day. As for Ivan, although his wound is deep it is not a problem for me to heal it. I will only need around 15 minutes."
Ivan was observing Elaina with a surprised expression. Her boobs were fucking gigantic! That was putting it lightly too! She had brown hair that went down to her elbows and she had a kind looking face with light green eyes that shown like emeralds, but differently from most people he has seen over the past years she wasn't pale, rather she was a bit tan.
'Back on earth I never saw tits like that, holy shit.'
Lucy was quietly standing in the corner, but she felt great pity as she laid her eyes upon Elaina's rather 'generous' proportions.
Why couldn't her boobs be even half of the size of hers?
