As Ivan had closed his eyes and fallen into a deep sleep, he begun to dream. No, calling this a dream would not do it justice; this was a nightmare.
Ivan's vision was blurry as the dream begun but gradually his vision became clearer, but what was revealed to Ivan was something that made him wish his vision was still blurry.
Body parts were flying everywhere. Heads flew, arms flew, legs flew, torso's flew, anything you could think of was flying around. The grass that was once a beautiful, luscious dark green color was now covered in a layer of blood.
The situation was clear. Two sides were engaging in a huge war, one side wearing black and red robes that contrasted with the night and the blood covered ground, and the other side having light grey and green robes.
But contrary to what one may think, the reason for the bloodshed was not on either side.
It was a lone man in the sky, he wore all black robes and had long, red hair. His eyes were pitch black, but it was as if his eyes were constantly twisting and turning, they looked like an abyss. If one were to compare him to something, it would be an angel of blood. A demonic being straight from hell who would not stop at anything to get what he wants, which was bloodshed. He looked like the concept of chaos itself was formed into a living being!
But he was not even moving a muscle, so how could one know for sure he was the perpetrator of this blood bath?
It was just a feeling, the feeling that he alone was the only capable being here of such a large scale massacre.
But what weapon had he been using to slay all these men?
Nothing. There was nothing slaughtering them. It was as if an invincible force cut their bodies into multiple pieces all at once.
But as this was happening, the figure in the sky laid his eyes upon Ivan. His eyes slightly narrowing, like Ivan himself was the only being that was worthy of his attention and anger.
Ivan then woke up, his little two year old body covered in sweat.
'What was that?!'
The figure in the sky, this image was stuck in his head.
'That couldn't have been a normal nightmare! No nightmare feels that real!'
Ivan felt as if he had just saw the devil himself, not only was the image of the being in the sky completely engraved into his mind, but all that bloodshed made him want to puke.
'Who was that? Is this shit normal in this world!? What the fuck was I witnessing there??'
Ivan couldn't take it anymore, the urge to throw his own guts up was gradually getting stronger. He had to calm down.
'What is this feeling? I-I want to die!'
He desperately needed a solution, the feeling he was currently experiencing could not even be described with words.
But there was one thing that could distract him, so he did it.
He bit into his arm!
'Fuck! Fuck!'
Instantly, the terrified feeling that the nightmare had brought upon him went away. The feeling of utter dread had faded away too. No longer did he feel the need to throw up.
But an intense pain ran through him like a shockwave!
'My arm, my arm, my arm!'
He was absolutely freaking out from the pain, it was almost unbearable. His arm had a deep bite mark in it now, it was like a wild animal had attacked him.
'I'm such a retard! Why would I do that?'
He started to cry like a baby, which physically he was one.
But Lucy walked in and saw the scene, her slender, long hand quickly covering her mouth as she looked at him in pure shock.
"K-Koji! Are you okay?"
She instantly ran over to the now crying Ivan, who's arm was bleeding terribly.
"Aunt Mei! Aunt Mei! Koji is hurt!"
She yelled, although she didn't have any method currently to help, she knew her aunt may know a way.
Instantly, Mei came rushing into the room. Her beautiful pale face contorting into an expression of worry. As she saw her own baby, Ivan, bleeding like this she screamed instantly.
"Honey! What happened?"
She instantly ran over, her footsteps still being light.
She took Koji into her arms, hugging him against her very 'generous' bosom.
"My baby, don't worry you'll be okay. Mommy's here okay? Shhh don't cry it's all fine. I'm right here with you okay?"
Ivan couldn't give less of a fuck!
'Stupid woman, I don't care! I am still in pain!'
He wailed around in her arms, but in truth this was not Ivan acting at all. He was just in that much pain.
"Lucy! Call a healer in town at once."
Lucy instantly obeyed, running out the door of the house to go find a local healer.
While that was happening, Ivan stayed in his mothers arms.
After a bit the pain gradually started to subside, although it was still there at least Ivan could think straight now.
'Okay, okay... A bit of the pain has gone away. But this was definitely worth it! That nightmarish feeling before was much worse than this pain.'
Comparing the feeling before to the pain he just experienced, it was like comparing an elephant to a small dog.
He relaxed a bit in her arms, no longer wailing as he just was moments before.
'But seriously, what was that dream? It couldn't have been meaningless or a normal dream it felt way too real. Also, my intuition is fully telling me that it was something more. But maybe I'm wrong... No! it had to be something more. Wait, but still. How could I be so sure that I'm right? It's impossible to fully confirm that. Should I really just go based off my intuition? No, that would be stupid right...? But really! It felt way too real... God, why did this have to happen? Now my simple and easy life was interrupted by this weird ass shit!'
He couldn't stop contemplating about if it was something more than a dream, Ivan was not someone who could easily come to a conclusion; he was going to debate about it in his head for awhile before that happened.
'But if it was something more, then what would it be? A future event? A past event? Who even was that demon in the sky?'
These were all questions that Ivan had no answer for. No, he did not even have a clue on if they were even questions that should be asked.
Because these were only questions to be asked if the dream was more than just that, a dream.
'Stupid, why would I start asking those questions when I still can't confirm it was more than a dream; I should take this one step at a time...'
As he was thinking about that, the pain was now almost completely gone; the pain subsiding was largely due to the internal debate he was having.
Of course, while he was doing this his mother was whispering sweet words to him, but he already just completely cut them out his head. In truth, these words meant next to nothing to Ivan.
After all, they were just words. How would they make his pain stop?
But then Lucy came back through the front door, her face having traces of sweat still from when she was running. She looked a bit exhausted but also relieved.
"I got a healer! He even said he will heal Koji for free since he is just a baby!"
Mei smiled at this, her mood changing for the better quickly.
"Great! Bring him in."
The healer walked in, he was a short man who looked extremely old. His wrinkles could make someone believe he was wearing a Halloween mask meant to terrify small children.
"Let me see the patient."
He said in a rough and raspy voice.
Instantly, Mei handed Koji over to the old man.
"This will only take a bit, in the meantime you two calm yourselves down. He is not hurt too horribly."
Lucy and Mei both let out sighs of relief; they tried their best to calm down as the old man had said to.
