The ocean was no longer silent.
Massive waves rolled across the dark surface as the newly awakened Guardian stood towering above the broken remains of the research vessel Aquila. The mechanical giant's blue core pulsed like a heartbeat, illuminating the stormy sea around it.
Arin stood on a floating piece of wreckage, soaked and exhausted, staring up at the colossal machine.
The Guardian looked like something out of ancient legends.
Over two hundred meters tall, its armored body resembled a fusion of futuristic technology and knight-like design. Its metallic plating reflected the moonlight while glowing lines of blue energy ran across its body like veins.
And somehow…
Arin could feel it.
It was as if the machine was connected directly to his mind.
System Link
A glowing interface appeared again in front of his eyes.
SYSTEM ALERT
Guardian Unit G-01
Status: Active
Operator: Arin Vale
Energy Level: 82%
Combat Mode: Enabled
Arin blinked slowly.
"So… it's real."
Kael was clinging to a lifeboat nearby, staring at the Guardian with wide eyes.
"Real?" he shouted. "Arin, that thing just punched a sea monster the size of a building!"
Arin didn't answer immediately.
Because the Guardian was moving again.
Titan vs Guardian
The Titan roared from the water.
Even after being thrown back by the Guardian's punch, the monster wasn't defeated.
Its massive body rose from the waves again, its glowing red eyes filled with fury.
The creature slammed its claws against the ocean surface, creating waves that crashed violently against the scattered wreckage of the ship.
Kael grabbed the edge of the lifeboat.
"Arin… it's coming back!"
Arin felt the system respond instantly.
New information flashed across the interface.
Enemy Identified
Species: Ocean Titan – Class Beta
Threat Level: High
Weak Point: Neck joint
Arin's eyes widened.
"The system can analyze enemies…"
Then another message appeared.
Guardian Control Mode Available
Arin took a deep breath.
He didn't fully understand how it worked yet.
But the connection between him and the Guardian felt stronger every second.
It was like learning how to move a new limb.
Arin focused his mind.
And the Guardian moved.
The First Controlled Strike
The massive machine stepped forward through the ocean.
Each step displaced thousands of tons of water.
The Titan lunged at it with terrifying speed.
Its claws slashed toward the Guardian's chest.
But this time the Guardian was ready.
Arin reacted instinctively.
The Guardian raised its arm.
CLANG!
The Titan's claws struck the armored plating, sending sparks and shockwaves across the sea.
Kael's jaw dropped.
"He blocked it…!"
Arin gritted his teeth.
He could feel the impact through the connection.
It was like controlling a giant body made of steel.
But he could also feel something else.
Power.
Immense power.
Guardian Combat Mode
The system interface flashed again.
Skill Available
Guardian Combat Protocol – Level 1
Arin didn't hesitate.
"Activate."
Instantly, new combat information flooded his mind.
Attack angles.
Movement predictions.
Weak points.
It felt like his brain had been upgraded.
The Titan roared again and tried to bite the Guardian's shoulder.
But Arin was already moving.
The Guardian grabbed the Titan's neck.
The massive machine lifted the monster halfway out of the ocean.
For a moment, the Titan struggled violently.
Then Arin spoke quietly.
"End it."
The Guardian's fist slammed downward.
BOOM!
The punch struck directly into the Titan's neck joint.
The monster's roar suddenly stopped.
Its enormous body collapsed into the ocean.
The waves slowly settled.
And the battlefield fell silent.
Mission Complete
The system interface glowed brighter.

Arin blinked.
"Experience points…?"
Another message appeared.

Operator Level: 2
New Ability Unlocked: Ocean Scan
Kael climbed onto the floating wreckage beside him.
"Arin," he said slowly, "I don't know what just happened… but that giant robot just saved our lives."
Arin looked back at the Guardian.
It stood silently in the ocean like a protector.
But the system wasn't finished yet.
The Next Mission
The interface displayed a new objective.
NEW MISSION
Locate the Hidden Guardian Base
Distance: 12 km
Arin frowned.
"A base?"
The system responded instantly.
Guardian Units require maintenance, upgrades, and command infrastructure.
Nearest facility detected.
Arin realized something important.
The Guardian wasn't the only one.
There were more.
Ancient machines hidden across the ocean.
Waiting.
Journey into the Deep
The Guardian slowly knelt down near the survivors.
A hatch opened in its chest.
Inside was a glowing control chamber.
Kael stared in disbelief.
"You're not seriously going inside that thing…"
Arin smiled slightly.
"I think I have to."
He climbed up the mechanical arm and stepped into the cockpit.
The hatch sealed behind him.
Instantly the connection became stronger.
The entire Guardian felt like an extension of his body.
Arin took a breath.
"Let's find that base."
The Guardian began walking through the ocean again.
Each step sent waves rolling across the dark sea.
Deep below the water…
Ancient lights were beginning to turn on.
The Guardian Base was awakening.
Meanwhile…
Thousands of kilometers away.
Inside a heavily guarded underground facility.
Dozens of computer screens suddenly flashed red.
Scientists rushed toward their stations.
"What's happening?"
"We detected a massive energy spike in the Pacific Ocean!"
Another scientist stared at the screen in shock.
"That energy signature… it's not natural."
A military officer stepped forward.
"Explain."
The scientist swallowed nervously.
"It looks like… some kind of ancient weapon just activated."
The officer's expression darkened.
"Track it."
Because somewhere out in the ocean…
A war had just begun.
