Synopsis
In a world ravaged by creatures known as Shades, humanity teeters on the edge of extinction. These obsidian, faceless beings move with deadly instinct, spreading despair and death wherever they roam. The air is thick with fear, the ground littered with those who tried and failed to survive. Small pockets of life cling desperately to hope, but every encounter with a Shade tests the limits of courage, sanity, and humanity itself.
One such survivor is Corin, a young man hardened by loss and the relentless cruelty of this world. He moves through the shattered land, witnessing the fragility of life in the face of horrors he can barely comprehend. Even as despair threatens to consume him, he presses onward—not for glory, not for safety, but because survival itself has become a form of defiance.
Above the desolation, in the shadows of ruined cities, a presence looms: Abyssion, a godlike force whose power drives the Shades and shapes the wasteland. Humanity’s remnants whisper of its approach with terror, yet its influence is felt even where it does not appear. In this world where fear spreads faster than hope and survival is never guaranteed, every choice is a struggle, every step an act of defiance, and every breath a claim to life in the shadow of annihilation.
Emotions have classes. Good emotions and bad emotions. Useful and not useful. But what is a good emotion? Is it based on perspective or pure fact? And are emotions truly important? If one were to shed the emotions they deemed lesser what would remain? Would they be stronger or simply a shell, or something in between? Emotions drive all of humanity. Emotions define us, they make us. And when we lose them what are we aside from monsters.
