Chapter 23:
Travis stayed behind with the majority of the orc army, while one of the orc generals went ahead with a good amount of orc soldiers. There mission was to cross the river quietly, and then attack the Minas Tirith soldiers in Osgilath. It was a plan that was sure to work. The orc army behind him, remained quiet as they waited for the signal to start approaching Osgilath. However, in the silence Travis listened to hear any sort of noise coming from Osgilath. At first, things were very quiet, but as minutes went by Travis could hear the clashing of swords and firing of arrows. The screams of Minas Tirith soldiers is what got him the most. It hurt him to think that he was partially responsible for the deaths of so many soldiers in this uprising of his father's reign.
The battle went on for hours, to where it eventually became day. The Witch-king of Angmar flew above the orc army and Travis, which meant that they needed to start heading towards Osgilath and so they did. The orc's started marching, while Travis rode ahead of them.
By the time they reached Osgilath, Travis disbanded the orc army. All of the orc's broke formation and started fighting every man that stood in their way. As time went by, the men of Minas Tirith knew they couldn't hold Osgilath from them any longer, so they retreated. Travis watched from the top of a broken building while the men galloped their horse's across a field, that they would make it back to Minas Tirith.
However as much as Travis wanted them to make it back, he knew that most of them wouldn't. Knowing the Witch-king of Angmar, he wasn't just going to let the men flee without eliminating more of their numbers. The Nazgul's, including the Witch-king of Angmar was riding, and went after the men on horseback by picking up their riders and their horses with the fell beats.
Travis turned his head away, only for a moment, but he quickly turned back to look so that the orc's wouldn't see his weakness. Then, all of a sudden, Gandalf the White rode out of Minas Tirith. He was riding towards the men, who was fleeing Osgilath. He chased the fell beasts off by shining a bright white light at them. Once that was done, Gandalf the White headed back to Minas Tirith with the remaining men from Osgilath.
The Witch-king of Angmar and Gothmog joined Travis at the top of the building.
"We need to act, and fast." Said Travis.
"Move all legions to the city of Minas Tirith. All follow Travis's orders." Replied the Witch-king of Angmar.
"Of course. But what about the wizard?" Said Gothmog.
"Leave the wizard to the Witch-king of Angmar. All you have to do is do what I order you to do. Nothing else should worry you." Replied Travis.
Travis thought that he scared Gothmog pretty good because he left after he gave him his orders. Travis was left alone with the Witch-king of Angmar. There was an awkward silence between them.
"It is only a matter of time before my master, your father Sauron becomes the ruler of Middle Earth. Then, we will have complete power over everyone." Said the Witch-king of Angmar.
Travis looked at the Witch-king of Angmar. He was completely disgusted by him. He had no intention of ruling Middle Earth and he didn't like to think about that. How could he be second in command under Sauron?
"See you when the job is done." Replied Travis.
