Chapter 27 - (He can help a little.)

Chapter 27:

Arwen blocked Aragon's sword, from coming in contact with Travis, with her sword. She stared at Aragon, waiting for him to back off and lower his sword, so she knew no harm would come to Travis. She meant every word she said. She loved him. It was true that she loved Travis, and because of that, she would do everything in her power to protect him.

Aragon took his sword off and lowered it down. Arwen lowered her sword as well. They both exchanged glances before putting their swords away. Even though they were put away Arwen stood in front of Travis. Just in case anyone made any surprise movements.

"Release him." Said Princess Arwen.

Aragon had the soldiers holding him let him go. Arwen turned around and walked over to Travis, who stood up on his feet. She gently put her right hand on his cheek and stroked it. Their heads came together only for a moment, before she pulled away and turned to Aragon.

"Let him go Aragon." Replied Princess Arwen.

"What? Why would I do that?" Said Aragon.

"If you don't do that Aragon, then not only will you have to deal with Sauron, but he will too. And that is something I cannot bear to think about. Please Aragon." Replied Princess Arwen.

Aragon fell silent. Arwen knew that he couldn't afford to let Travis go. In his eyes, he was nothing but evil. However, Arwen knew him better than that. Travis was not the evil son of his father Sauron. He was just a lost soul, who obeyed his father's orders to survive, therefore, making him a survivor in his eyes.

"Alright Arwen. Travis, you are free to go." Said Aragon.

"Thank you Aragon. And since you are letting me go, I will tell you that you may have defeated this orc army, but there are more orc's behind the gates of Mordor. Far more than the remaining numbers that you have." Replied Travis.

Travis then walked away from them. While Aragon went back to the others, Arwen followed Travis. He stopped and whistled out into the distance. It wasn't long before his horse, Sadron came galloping over to him.

"So what happens now?" Said Princess Arwen.

"I have to go back to Mordor before my father starts to question me." Replied Travis.

"Why do you have to go back? You should stay here, with me, and help us fight him. I know deep down you don't belong on his side." Said Princess Arwen.

"Arwen please don't do this to me. I want to stay and help you fight him. I want to stay with you, but I can't." Replied Travis.

"Why though?" Said Princess Arwen.

"Arwen there is something I haven't told you yet. Since I was taken as a child, my soul belongs to Mordor and my father. That means if my father dies, then he will drag my soul down with him." Replied Travis.

Those words hit her so hard.

"I love you Arwen." Said Travis before he kissed her gently on the lips.

Travis hopped on his horse and rode off in the distance. Arwen didn't want him to go but there was nothing he could do to stop him. She stayed in the same spot, until Aragon came over to her side.

"Arwen, we need to head to Mordor." Replied Aragon.
