Chapter 12:
It was the next day. The fellowship rose early, to get an early start on their journey once again. Each of them were handed gifts from Galadriel herself. Legolas was given a bow. Merry and Pippin were given two daggers while Sam was given rope. Gimil was given nothing, except the string's from her hair. Travis saw them load up into boats, that would take them down the river.
Travis wanted to stay and follow them, but he had orders from his father that needed to be addressed. Saruman was supposed to have sent a company of orcs, to try and snatch Frodo before he reaches Mordor. His orders were to meet up with the Uruk Kai's and tell them exactly where the fellowship was, since he was following them. But, he can only do that if he left now. So that he could meet up with the Uruk Kai's and come back to the fellowship.
Travis rode out of Lorien and made his way in the direction, from which the Uruk Kai's was supposed to be coming from. It didn't take him long to ride ahead and meet the Uruk Kai's. He was definitely surprised at how big the group of orcs was. They definitely outnumbered the fellowship.
"Where are the half-lings?" Said Lurtz.
"Watch your tone filth! You are in no ranking to be ordering me around." Replied Travis.
All of the orc's backed up. He guessed that they knew his reputation after all. But, Lurtz remained in his usual place. Travis's blood boiled. He made him so angry that he wanted to slice his head off and be done with him. But, he knew if he did that, he would only be asking for trouble. Instead he quickly took out his sword and sliced his chest in a oblique line with the tip of his sword. The cut was deep and he could tell that he was in pain, but he did not care. Dark blood was coming from the wound.
"Next time you will think twice before you speak to me. Now, the hobbits along with the rest of the fellowship are resting at Amon Hen. It's just up the way." Replied Travis.
The orc's and Uruk Kai's lead the way. When the orc's were gone. Travis started thinking, he felt bad. Thoughts were piling up in his head. He felt terrible but why? He knew that the fellowship was going to be outnumbered by the Uruk Kai's and yet he let them go anyway. Should he help them? Travis was confused and lost at this point he didn't know what to do. He shook his head and cleared his head. He needed to stick to his orders and that is exactly what he was planning on doing. So he rode in the direction of the Uruk Kai's.
His orders were to go after Frodo and take the ring if possible. When the orc's made it to Amon Hen, they were attacked by Aragon. Lurtz gave his orders and they went after the hobbits. Travis didn't stay to fight Aragon, Gimil or Legolas. Travis simply rode after the hobbits.
When he reached the hobbits and was close enough to kill them, Travis stopped and realized that they were the wrong ones. They weren't the one carrying the ring. Travis looked around but could not find Frodo at all. Before he could continue looking for Frodo, Boromir came running in his direction. Travis quickly took his swords out to defend himself, clashing swords with Boromir. His horse reared up, causing Boromir to back up and eventually run off with the two hobbits.
Boromir put up a good fight whenever orc's came near him or the hobbits, but it wasn't long before Lurtz shot him with a bow and arrow. Boromir kept fighting, even though three arrows were in his chest. Travis admired his strength for he has never seen anything like that in his life. The two hobbits were picked up and taken away in the direction of Isengard, when Boromir collapsed to the ground.
Travis stayed behind Lurtz, who loaded his bow and pointed it at Boromir. When he pulled the arrow back with the bow, Travis turned his head preparing for the loss of a life. However, it never happened because Aragon knocked Lurtz down and started fighting him. Travis was going to wait, but when he saw Legolas he rode off.
