Chapter 30 - The Curse of Fate and the Mechanical Voice

Inside the Global Awakened Academy, the world was divided into two types of people: the powerful and the invisible. The "Awakened" students walked with pride, showing off their magic and expensive armor. They were the future heroes.

Then, there was Arjun.

Arjun was a 25-year-old janitor. He wore a dirty gray uniform with a tag that said "Staff: Sector 7." While others carried magical swords, Arjun carried a wooden mop and a bucket of dirty water. He was a "Rank-F Non-Combatant"—the lowest level a human could be.

One afternoon, as Arjun was cleaning the floor, a heavy boot stepped on his mop.

"Hey, trash! Can't you see I'm walking here?"

Arjun looked up and saw Vikram. Vikram was the richest and most talented student in the Academy. He looked at Arjun with pure disgust.

"I'm sorry, sir," Arjun said quietly. "I will clean this right away."

Vikram laughed and poured his cold juice directly onto the floor Arjun had just cleaned. "A janitor like you is just like this trash on the floor. You were born a servant, and you will die a servant. You have no mana, no system, and no future."

Vikram's friends laughed and walked away, leaving Arjun alone in the hallway. Arjun's hands trembled as he gripped his mop. He felt a deep fire of anger in his chest, but he knew he couldn't fight back. In this world, the weak had no voice.

The Night that Changed Everything

It was 2:00 AM. The Academy was silent. Arjun was cleaning the "Restricted Lab," a place where professors studied ancient crystals.

As Arjun moved a heavy shelf to sweep underneath, he saw something glowing. It was a small, pitch-black stone. It looked broken and useless, but when Arjun touched it, a shock of electricity ran through his arm.

"Ah!" he gasped. Suddenly, a golden screen appeared in front of his eyes.

Arjun froze. A System? Only heroes had systems! But the voice in his head continued, cold and mechanical.

[Host has extreme patience and hidden rage.]

[Activating: God-Level Luck System...]

[Loading: 10%... 50%... 100%!]

[Congratulations! You are now the owner of Infinite Luck.]

Arjun couldn't believe it. He looked at the data floating in the air:

Host: Arjun

Level: 1

Luck: \infty (Infinite)

Passive Skill: Golden Touch — Every action you take will result in the best possible outcome.

"Luck?" Arjun whispered. "Can luck make me strong?"

The System replied: [For you, nothing is impossible. Even a piece of trash in your hand can become a treasure.]

To test it, Arjun took out an old, rusty copper coin from his pocket. It was the only thing his father had left him. It was worth nothing.

"System," Arjun thought. "If my luck is real, change this coin!"

Suddenly, a golden light flowed from his hand into the coin. The rust fell off, and the coin started to shine like a miniature sun.

[Ding! Luck Triggered!]

[The Rusty Coin has evolved into: "The Emperor's Protection" (Epic Grade).]

[Effect: This item will protect the wearer from any physical attack.]

Arjun was shocked. A worthless coin was now a legendary treasure! He felt a new power flowing through his body. His back became straight, and his eyes became sharp.

He looked out the window at the huge Academy.

"Vikram... you said I would die a servant," Arjun said with a cold smile. "Fine. I will stay a janitor. But I am going to clean up all the 'trash' like you from this world."

A new era had begun. Arjun was no longer just a man with a mop. He was the master of destiny.
