Chapter 35 - The Golden Trash Can

The rain was pouring down on the neon-lit streets of Silver City. In the shadows of the massive 'Aura Corp' skyscraper, thirty-year-old Han sat on a plastic bucket, coughing. His blue janitor uniform was stained with oil and dirt. For ten years, he had cleaned the floors of the powerful, while they looked at him like he was a piece of garbage.

In this world, everyone was born with an 'Awakening Rank.' Some were S-Rank warriors, others were A-Rank mages. Han was an E-Rank 'Cleaner.' His only skill was 'Stain Removal.'

"Hey, Trash-Han! Move your bucket!" a voice shouted.

A young man in an expensive suit walked by, kicking Han's bucket. This was Ryuk, a B-Rank fire user and a mid-level manager at Aura Corp.

"I'm sorry, Manager Ryuk," Han said, bowing his head low.

"Clean up the basement lab by midnight. There was a chemical leak. If it's not sparkling, you're fired," Ryuk sneered and walked away.

The basement lab was dangerous. The chemicals there could burn through skin, and the company didn't provide safety gear to E-Ranks. But Han had no choice. He needed the money for his sister's hospital bills.

Han grabbed his mop and headed into the dark, damp basement. As he reached the center of the lab, he saw a strange, glowing green liquid leaking from a broken capsule. As he stepped forward to clean it, the floor suddenly gave way.

CRACK!

Han fell through a hidden trapdoor, tumbling twenty feet down into a forgotten ancient vault. His head hit a stone altar, and everything went black.

The Awakening

[SYSTEM REBOOTING...]

[SCANNING SOUL... 1%... 50%... 100%]

[ERROR: HOST STATUS IS TOO LOW.]

[FORCING EVOLUTION...]

[CONGRATULATIONS! YOU HAVE AWAKENED THE 'GOD-LEVEL LUCK SYSTEM'!]

Han woke up with a sharp pain in his chest. He looked around. He was in a small, dusty room filled with broken relics. A gold-colored screen was floating in front of him.

"What... is this?" Han whispered. He rubbed his eyes, but the screen stayed there.

[Host: Han]

[Level: 1]

[Class: God-Level Janitor]

[Luck Stat: INFINITE (Fixed)]

[Current Skill: 'Lucky Sweep' (Level 1) - Every time you clean something, you have a 100% chance to find a hidden treasure.]

Han laughed bitterly. "Luck? My whole life has been a series of bad luck. This must be a hallucination from the chemical fumes."

He tried to stand up. His hand brushed against a pile of rusted metal scraps on the floor. Automatically, he pushed the trash to the side to clear a path.

[Ding! You have swept 'Common Trash'.]

[Luck Triggered!]

[Reward: 10,000 Gold Credits and a 'Body Strengthening Pill' found in the dust!]

Suddenly, a small golden pill appeared in his hand, and his phone vibrated. He checked his bank app. Balance: 10,000 Credits.

Han's heart stopped. Ten thousand credits was more than he earned in six months! He looked at the pill. Without thinking, he swallowed it.

Immediately, a warm heat spread through his veins. His tired muscles grew strong, his vision cleared, and the chronic cough he had for years vanished.

"This is real..." Han whispered, his eyes wide. "The system is real!"

Cleaning the Impossible

Han stood up, feeling like a new man. He looked at the dirty, ancient room. It was filled with spiderwebs and grime.

"If cleaning trash gives me rewards... then this place is a gold mine," he grinned.

He grabbed his old mop, which was lying nearby.

[System Note: Old Mop detected. Would you like to use 1 Luck Point to upgrade?]

"Yes!"

[Ding! Your 'Old Mop' has evolved into 'The Staff of Purity' (Rank: S)!]

The wooden mop transformed into a sleek, silver staff that shined with a holy light. Han took a swing. As the mop touched the dirty floor, a wave of white light exploded outward. In a second, half the room was cleaner than a five-star hotel.

[Ding! You have cleaned 'Ancient Dust'.]

[Luck Triggered!]

[Reward: Skill Book 'Flash Step' found!]

[Reward: Mana Potion (High Grade) found!]

[Reward: Rare Diamond Ring found!]

Han was shaking. In just five minutes, he had found items worth millions. He continued to sweep the entire vault. By the time he was done, the room was shining, and his 'inventory' was full of rare ores, weapons, and money.

[Level Up! You are now Level 5!]

[New Skill Unlocked: 'Golden Garbage Bin' - You can turn any enemy attack into harmless trash.]

The Return

Han found a secret elevator that led back to the main lobby of Aura Corp. He stepped out just as the sun was rising.

At the entrance, Manager Ryuk was waiting with two security guards.

"There he is!" Ryuk pointed a finger at Han. "You disappeared for twelve hours! The lab is still a mess, isn't it? Hand over your ID card. You're fired, and we're suing you for trespassing."

Han looked at Ryuk. Yesterday, he would have begged for mercy. Today, he just smiled.

"The lab is clean, Manager. But you might want to check your own pockets first," Han said calmly.

"What are you talking about, you trash?" Ryuk stepped forward to grab Han's collar.

Suddenly, Ryuk slipped on a tiny, invisible wet spot on the floor—a result of Han's 'Passive Luck.' Ryuk fell face-first into a trash can. As he struggled to get out, his expensive watch fell off and rolled right into Han's hand.

[Ding! Luck Triggered!]

[You found 'Evidence of Corruption' inside the Manager's watch!]

Han looked at the digital file that appeared on his system screen. It contained proof that Ryuk had been stealing money from the company.

"Security! Arrest him!" Ryuk screamed, his face covered in banana peels from the trash.

The guards rushed forward, but Han didn't move. He simply tapped his silver mop on the floor.

"Clean up time," Han whispered.

A blinding light filled the lobby. When it faded, the guards' weapons had turned into harmless feather dusters, and Ryuk's expensive suit had turned into a dirty rag.

Everyone in the lobby gasped. The CEO of Aura Corp, a powerful S-Rank woman named Elena, was walking through the doors at that exact moment. She stopped and looked at Han, then at the shining floor, then at the corrupt manager.

"Who are you?" she asked, her eyes narrowing.

Han leaned on his mop, the sunlight hitting his face.

"I'm just the janitor," Han said, his voice echoing through the hall. "And I'm here to clean up this city."

[System: Global Mission Unlocked: 'The Great Reset'.]

[Objective: Clean the world of all corruption.]

[Reward: Godhood.]

Han smiled. With infinite luck on his side, the world was about to find out that even a janitor can become a God.
