Chapter 25 - Hashirama Senju

*** TY to Kewin_Pabon for mentioning the corpse problem, in here theirs an explanation***

As the group finally appeared at the gate of the village they looked in shock, the gigantic walls that had been covered in seals had collapsed. Not only that but the area of the gate wasn't just destroyed, the area near the gate had completely evaporated.

Pakura glanced around before turning to Roku, "You said the walls were insanely strong? How did they do this?"

Roku investigated the destruction and let out a sigh. "It's been too long for me to tell, they obviously used some kind of combination Jutsu to cause concentrated destruction. But the signs of what type of Jutsu it was are gone"

He then glanced around at the fallen wall of the side, "But based on the 2 villages that were involved in this attack I can make an educated guess. The gate itself has completely disappeared, as if it was disintegrated so I would guess lightning Jutsu.

Pakura then came up with her own idea, "Or they used a large number of exploding tags"

Roku then shook his head, "No the walls had special seals to absorb chakra, that would make most tags useless upon application. And the tag would have to be directly applied to cause such concentrated destruction"

Pakura then commented, "So even they strongest defensive seals can be broken by an army"

Roku scoffed to himself, "This seal isn't even near to the best defense they could have made"

Pakura turned to him in confusion, "Why didn't they use their best?"

Roku shook his head, "It's not practical, there's not enough money in the world to cover such a large area in those types of seals. Much less the fact that the gate would have made it impossible"

Pakura looked confused and Kaho spoke up, "Why would it be impossible?"

He turned to her in surprise, she had been silent the entire way here. It seemed she was still taking in the destruction.

He looked at her before explaining, "You can't make a seal that can do everything. You need to sacrifice some abilities for better abilities in other abilities. Every seal has a weak point"

Kaho nodded in understanding, "So the gate was the weakness of the Jutsu, that's why they focus on it"

Roku shook his head, "Kind of right, If the Uzumaki wanted to make an indestructible barrier they would just have to sacrifice it wouldn't have the ability to be opened and closed. So it wasn't the gate itself that was the weakness but the necessity for the seal to be opened and closed"

Pakura then looked at him before thinking, "So why didn't they just hide in one of those seals?"

His sighed, "The seal can only be opened from the outside"

A look of understanding crossed her face, "Oh"

As the three of them stepped towards the gate, Kaho stayed silent. She just kept looking around at the destruction throughout the place.

Roku sighed and looked around before placing his arm on Kaho's shoulder. As Pakura looked around, a thought crossed her mind.

She then turned to Roku, "The war was more than a decade ago right?"

Roku turned to her in confusion and nodded, she then thought before commenting. "How are there still corpses? Shouldn't they just be skeletons?"

Roku understood turning to the bodies on the ground, "Like you can see the only bodies that aren't skeletons are Uzumaki"

Pakura looked around and nodded, "Oh, I guess I didn't notice that."

He nodded before glancing and Kaho, "Clans like the Uzumaki and Senju have an unnatural amount of yang chakra, leading to them having trouble decomposing. If someone as strong in yang energy as Kaho were to die their body would have barely decomposed by now. They would look like they had just died a couple days ago"

He then turned back towards Pakura, "Though some types of Uzumaki would have fully decomposed by now. Like the weak and elderly, if an Uzumaki had a lower strength then their yang chakra would also be weak making them just like a normal person"

He then sighed, "The inverse is the Uchiha, our large amount of yin chakra causes us to decay at an unnatural rate. If not preserved our bodies would turn into skeletons within a week or two"

A contemplative expression crossed his face. "The greatest example of the effects of yang chakra preservation is Hashirama Senju. I've heard that even to this day his body hasn't begun to decay. I've even heard that some of his cells are so rich in yang chakra they continued to split even after his death"

The two girl too his side stopped in shock, Hashirama died nearly 35 years ago. For his body to still be fine after that long would be insane.

Pakura then turned to him in disbelief, "Are you joking? That's not possible"

He smiled at her and shook his head, "In my opinion Hashirama Senju wasn't even human. My mom once showed me her memory of him returning after the final valley."

He began to laugh, "He was dying from his injuries at the hands of Madara, while he still lived a year he would eventually die from those injuries. And even then his amount of chakra was…"

He stopped and looked at Pakura, "He was on the edge of chakra exhaustion and he still had more chakra than you do Pakura"

The two women stopped and looked at him in shock,

Pakura shook her head, "What no? You have to be mistaken!"

He smiled at her and laughed again, "Nope i am positive, our maximum was his minimum"

She sat there in shock and sighed, "I thought the stories were just propaganda but…"

Roku laughed even harder, "I would argue they were propaganda against him more than for. The stories understated his strength"

He then shook his head and smiled at the two, "although one day I'll surpass him"

Pakura still stopped in disbelief and turned to him in surprise. As she looked at the confident look on his face she knew that he wasn't kidding.

Pakura scoffed, "Your crazy"

He smiled at her before turning to Kaho, "Come on Kaho, you believe in me right?"

She shyly glanced up and nodded assuredly, "I do"

Pakura scoffed again before turning to Kaho, "Don't feed into his delusions"

Roku smiled before continuing his trek of the nearby area.
