Just as Fugaku Stood up and was about to question her, Roku stopped him "Let her talk first, should clear everything up"
Fugaku looked at him and sat down looking at Pakura in suspicion.
Just Then Pakura Began to tell her story.
The night was quiet. As the negotiation between the mist and sand had come to a halt Pakura and her squad had been sent as the envoys to finalize the deal.
They sat together beneath the roof of an old tent near the hidden mist border. Moonlight filtered through the open tent flap.
On the table sat a set of sake and shot glasses. Around the table in the middle of the tent sat the heads of this envoy, Pakura took around the table at the 2 Elders from the Village, and even Rasa Student Baki.
"Rasa that name sent conflicting feeling through her mind, while she was disappointed in losing the Kazekage's race to him, she couldn't blame anyone but herself, she was too outmatched, rasa was the third Kazekage's student, he had the gold sand Kekkei Genkai allowing him to mine for gold to help with budget issue and he even was stronger than her, she couldn't beat him in any aspect"
While she was contemplating her failures she noticed the 1st elder speak up. "Pakura when we meet the hidden mist delegation don't rile them up, they have a lot of hatred for you after all you made them retreat with their tails tucked between their legs" he laughed.
She smiled, she liked this old man. He had supported her in her Kazekage bid and he even had given her a lot of help when she was just starting out. "Your right i am just your protection as long as they don't do anything stupid i won't either"
"Okay good, have a drink," Elder Ryu said, handing her a sake glass and then pouring the sake up to the top. "You earned it."
She took the cup, and downed it in one gulp. As she drank it she felt weird. The liquid tasted normal, nothing felt amiss .But deep inside her instincts screamed. She coughed. Her fingers spasmed, dropping the cup. It hit the table with a thud.
Ryu didn't move to help her. Neither did the others. Her stomach twisted violently, ger limbs felt heavy.
"Old man…" Pakura choked.
Ryu's expression didn't change. No concern or even surprise. Only sad acceptance. "I'm sorry," Ryu said quietly. Her heart skipped. Sorry? Her vision blurred and her chakra became harder and harder to use.
The others wouldn't meet her eyes. She stared at them, even though moving hurt her fists still clenched so tightly her knuckles were white.
"Why…" She rasped.
"Because you were too strong, you killed too many mist ninjas, you need to die so peace can be held. You are a weapon," Ryu said. "And now you are being reforged" Betrayal carved into her chest.
A tool to be discarded. Those words hit harder than any blade. Without a second thought she instantly rushed out of the tent. Although every move hurt she was still a kage level combatant even if she was one of the weaker ones. She had to escape.
She leapt up into the surrounding tree and launched off. But each leap was weaker and slower than the last. Tears blurred her vision. Tears of anger, Betrayal, or Sadness even she didn't know.
She looked back to see some anbu racing after her, while the others stayed in the tent, they didn't even give her the light of day knowing she had no way out.
"I'll kill you all" she thought even though deep down she couldn't figure out how she could live through this
Just as they began to close in she heard a couple thuds, she looked back in her blurry vision and she wasn't sure what she was seeing but it looked like the anbu was gone
"AHH" she cried out in worry. Just then she felt herself get picked up, she wanted to resist or escape but she was too weak, then a voice rang out. "Don't worry i am not your enemy, if i wanted you dead you would be"
The voice sounded young but she was so tired she couldn't even tell, he jumped off the tree and set her down and as she felt his hand touch her chest she felt the cool soothing feeling of healing chakra, "He's really saving me" she thought surprised. But as she looked up she could begin to make out the red glow in his eyes, The sharingan, she thought worriedly. But before she could comment she passed out from fatigue.
