After Pakura finished speaking he became silent. Fugaku looked over at Roku as if inquiring if she was telling the full truth.
Pakura too looked at him with her hands clenched in her lap, looking deep to see if there was a sign of distrust. Her eyes scanned the young Uchiha's face, hoping deep down that he wasn't doubting her.
"I am trustworthy and I trust her. That's all that matters. Theirs no long explanation about how much we have gone through after all, I am not persuading you she's my subordinate not yours." He told them confidently.
Fugaku stopped staring at him and sighed, "Your right, it's not my place to question her loyalty "
Then the Third Elder exhaled slowly. "If you trust her then i do too, after all you're just like your mother you have always been a great judge of character. The Second Elder nodded.
"Your mother? You never mentioned her, who is she" Pakura asked. The room grew silent and Pakura realized she shouldn't have asked that, if Roku had taken over the first elders position at such a young age it probably meant she wasn't alive. But just as she was about to apologize he spoke up.
"Uchiha Naori, the woman who stopped the Uchiha Izanagi war" he spoke calmly.
Fugaku looked surprised and interrupted. "Even if you trust her you can't mention such secrets in front of her".
Roku told him off, "It is my moms own history, it's my right to tell people about it". Then Fugaku spoke "But you don't need to mention Izanagi, even elite jonin like Yoshiro don't know about it" he said exasperatedly. "Izanagi only became a secret because of my mom its my job to decide who to reveal it to"
Pakura sat off to the side in surprise, she didn't know of this huge secret but it comforted her that Roku trusted her enough to tell her. Fugaku would have spoken again before the other elders looked at him and dissuaded him. "Its okay even if you stop him now he will just tell her later" the second elder sighed.
Roku then began again, "On the 22nd year of Konoha, a year after the 2nd Hokage died, the ninja world was in turmoil, even though the first war had ended that very year the 2nd Tsuchikage and Mizukage died during a fight over spoils from the War"
"The death of everyone of the 2nd Kage's led to each village cutting themselves off and keeping to themselves, during this time Hiruzen was named the 3rd Hokage. But because of his young age and his clans own weakness he had little control over the village"
"It had Been nearly a decade since the Uchiha had a clan head since Madara left, and with the war ending 4 Uchiha's had awakened the Mangekyou, This lead to a power struggle within the Uchiha, using the forbidden Jutsu Izanagi"
Fugaku closed his eyes briefly, reminiscing about the story his father had once told him and he spoke up. "Izanagi is Jutsu that allow an Uchiha to cast a Genjutsu of reality itself" he spoke up
Pakura looked in shock, "Changing reality? Can a human really do that" she asked, shocked.
Roku nodded, "At the cost of blindness in one eye an Uchiha can get a second life". Pakura sat in silence, if the Uchiha could get a second life, the possibilities were endless, their strength would instantly double, they were already the strongest clan in the world and they were not even close to their peak.
Roku began again, "This confidence in their ability to survive even in death led to arrogance in their own abilities. 3 of the Mangekyou users began a civil war to decide the clan head. In the end 2 died and the only living one was blinded in one eye."
Fugaku then spoke up, "My Father Uchiha Naka, he eventual won but the crime of killing his clansman twisted his mind he became arrogant and corrupt, if he had become the clan head in his state it would have been a disaster, If it wasn't for Naori-Sama the Uchiha probably wouldn't even exist today"
Roku continued, "My mother was the only other Mangekyou user but she was only 17 at the time her experience and strength in all fields was outmatched she couldn't beat him, so developed a technique, Izanami, the counter to Izanagi. It forces your opponent to circle in an endless loop until they learn from their mistake, but similar to Izanagi it costs an eye."
Just then the second elder spoke up, "This battle was catastrophic for the Uchiha. It turned us from a clan with 4 Kage level fighters to one with only 2 and they were both half blind. After that Naka-sama learned his mistakes and became a better clan head and Naori-sama became his main advisor.
Pakura sat in silence in shock at all the new info. Roku stepped toward the center of the room and spoke, trying to change the subject. "We have more important matters."
His eyes glanced at all of them. "Minato-sama is dead."
His words hit heavy, the forth was much better than the third for the Uchiha, not only had he taken Obito as his student and had also taken Roku as his guard and even taught him the basics of the Flying Rajin
Even hours later, they still felt unreal. They had finally had a Hokage that was kind to the Uchiha and he was killed in one night
"The Third and the Elders will decide if they will continue Minato's policy of integration with the Uchiha or if they will go back to their old ways" Roku told solemnly.
But they all understood it wasn't that simple, even if they helped defeat the beast it was a fact that the Nine Tails was controlled, and only a sharingan could do that.
"If they do go back to their old ways , we will respond accordingly," Roku said.
Fugaku's gaze sharpened, "What do you mean by that?"
"If the village does not oppress us, we will of course give our everything to protect it". Roku explained, but everyone noticed the prefix he would only do that if they didn't oppress them. What if they did? The air grew cold and the silence was louder than any noise.
The second elder voiced everyone's suspicions. "And if they do?" he asked
"If they choose oppression then we would just withdraw Shisui and the others from the Mist border. If the village needs our protection they will have to earn it, no Uchiha should bleed for a village that distrust them.
Fugaku studied him. "You aren't gonna budge on this, are you?"
"Yep i know your personality Fugaku you are always looking at the big picture and are too indecisive. I ain't gonna let you just sit to the side and let the clansman's anger fester.
Fugaku exhaled slowly. "Fine, I guess I will trust your plans. After all, you have always been able to think 3 steps further than I can." He sighed
