"Dragon Rush!"
There was no delay. It accelerated instantly, draconic energy wrapping around its body as it drove forward like a missile. The hit connected hard. Ludicolo was thrown backward, barely catching itself before sliding across wet stone. Poison ticked but rain restored a small amount. Wallace responded without hesitation.
"Fake Out."
Ludicolo dashed forward and struck Flygon sharply across the face before it could reposition. Flygon flinched.
"Ice Beam." Wallace instantly took the advantage . Cold light formed instantly.nIt fired point-blank. Flygon twisted midair, but the beam clipped its left wing. It dropped several feet before stabilizing. Super effective damage. Daichi reacted fast.
"Flygon, Sandstorm!"
Flygon beat its wings sharply. Wind spiraled outward, forcing rain clouds to distort.
The arena weather shifted. The rain started to fade and sand began whipping across the field again. Ludicolo's passive recovery stopped. Wallace narrowed his eyes.
"Substitute."
A decoy formed in front of Ludicolo. Daichi didn't stop but instantly reacted.
"Boomburst!"
Flygon opened its jaws. A massive sonic wave erupted outward. The Substitute shattered instantly. The soundwave still hit Ludicolo behind it. Wallace's posture shifted slightly. Unexpected coverage. Ludicolo steadied itself. Wallace shouted a command.
"Teeter Dance."
It spun again, dancing rhythmically . Flygon's flight wobbled, it was confused. Wallace pressed.
"Ice beam now !"
Confused, Flygon hesitated mid-movement because of which the Ice Beam struck directly across its torso. Flygon crashed hard into the sand. Daichi's voice cut clean through the chaos
"Focus. Roost!"
Flygon forced itself upright, wings folding as it regained stability and recovered a portion of health. The confusion faded and Sandstorm chipped Ludicolo. And more importantly the poison worsened.
Wallace commanded ludicolo quickly.
"Giga Drain."
Green energy surged forward.
"Flygon, Dig!"
Flygon burrowed beneath the sand just as the drain passed over.The ground beneath Ludicolo ruptured moments later as Flygon emerged, striking upward. Ludicolo was lifted off its feet again. Now Ludicolo was visibly slowing. Wallace refused to give Daichi the advantage.
"Hydro Pump."
Even without rain boost, the blast carried force. Flygon took it mid-air. Water drove it backward. Daichi countered immediately.
"Dragon rush"
Flygon darted forward, striking Ludicolo with all its might , Ludicolo skidded across the arena floor breathing heavily.
Daichi didn't hesitate upon seeing Ludicolo's weakness"
" Another Dragon Rush!"
Flygon launched again covered in green draconic energy Ludicolo braced for impact , Wallace mad ea split decision.
"Ice Beam!"
The two attacks met mid-field.
Ice Beam struck first.
Flygon got completely covered in ice and it's charge faltered but didn't stop. Dragon Rush connected fully this time. A large explosion occured and ludicolo was sent flying into the arena wall.It panted heavily likely on its last legs. Flygon too wasn't it much of a great shape 2 super effective ice beam has struck it. Both trainers gaze sharpened and shouted.
"Ludicolo, Focus blast "
"Flygon, Dragon breath"
Both attack met mid-air causing another explosion. Thick smoke filled the arena blocking vision. Daichi seized the opportunity.
"Dragon rush , now !!"
Flygon pierced through the smoke charging straight towards ludicolo. Wallace immediately countered already accepting the fact that Ludicolo would not come out unscathed.
"Ice beam at full power!!"
Ice Beam struck first. The super effective blast tore into Flygon at close range but Flygon didn't stop the Dragon Rush connected fully. The impact drove Ludicolo backward across the flooded platform and into the far boundary wall. The shockwave echoed. Silence followed for half a second. Flygon landed hard on the stone.
Flygon tried to stand but three super effective ice beams took its toll , it fluttered its wings but couldn't muster the energy to fly, it collapsed. Ludicolo pushed itself and took one step but poison surged and it's knees buckled.It fell forward collapsing on the cracked ground.
The referee stepped in immediately
"Flygon and ludicolo are unable to battle!"
Both Daichi and Wallace glanced at each other then immediately called out their final pokemon.
'Go, kingdra"
The water/dragon type landed immediately it's pressure evident, it was most likely from Wallace's main team not like the others who wre likely from the second team.
"Go , Tyranitar"
The moment Tyranitar landed, the sandstorm which had started to diminish regained it ferocity. It's fine grains scaring against kingdra's scales. Wallace eyes widened, he hadn't expected Daichi to have a Tyranitar at all. On the champion's seat Steven rose an eyebrow and wondered,'A pseudo-legendary from Johto, i wonder how it would fare against my metagross'
Both pokemon seized each other up , waiting for their trainers commands.
