Chapter 1 - Dengarous Vaviji

One evening, the sky was heavy with dark clouds. Vavi sat alone near the old lake, her fingers tracing patterns in the dust. The wind played with her hair like it knew her secrets.

"Are you planning to scare the clouds again?" a voice teased softly.

She looked up.

Aarav stood there, hands in his pockets, smiling like the storm didn't frighten him.

"You shouldn't come near me," Vavi said quietly. "Bad things happen."

Aarav walked closer anyway.

"Good things happen too," he replied. "You just don't notice them."

Thunder rumbled in the distance. Vavi's heart beat faster—not from fear, but from something new. Something warm.

"What if I lose control?" she whispered.

Aarav gently held her hand.

"Then I'll stand with you in the rain."

The clouds cracked with lightning—but this time, it didn't feel wild. It felt calm. Like the sky itself approved.

For the first time, Vavi didn't feel dangerous.

She felt seen.

The rain began to fall softly, and instead of running, they stayed—laughing under the storm.

Because sometimes, the most powerful thing isn't lightning.

It's love. The next morning, Ember Hollow felt different.

The storm from last night had vanished without damage. No broken trees. No flooded streets.

People whispered.

"Strange…" "It was supposed to be dangerous…"

Vavi stood at her window, confused. Storms never left gently.

Unless…

Her phone buzzed.

Aarav: "Meet me at the rooftop after school."

Her heart skipped.

🌤️ The Rooftop Secret

The school rooftop was quiet, the sky painted orange by the setting sun. Aarav leaned against the railing when Vavi arrived.

"You weren't scared?" she asked softly.

"Of you?" he smiled. "Never."

A sudden gust of wind swirled around them. Vavi tensed—but instead of thunder, the breeze felt warm.

"You see?" Aarav said gently. "Your powers aren't dangerous. They listen to your heart."

She looked at him.

"And what if my heart is confused?"

He stepped closer.

"Then let it learn."

For a moment, the world felt still. No whispers. No fear. Just the sound of their breathing and the distant hum of the town below.

⚡ The Storm Test

Suddenly, dark clouds gathered again—faster than before.

Vavi panicked. "It's happening again!"

Lightning flickered in the sky.

But Aarav didn't let go of her hand.

"Close your eyes," he said calmly. "Think of something good."

She did.

She thought of laughter in the rain. Of someone who didn't see her as a threat. Of standing side by side instead of alone.

The lightning softened. The clouds slowed. The wind quieted.

When she opened her eyes, the sky was glowing pink.

She hadn't lost control.

She had chosen peace.

Aarav smiled. "See? Not Dangerous Vavi."

She tilted her head. "Then what am I?"

He grinned.

"Powerful Vavi."

And this time, when thunder rolled in the distance…

It sounded more like applause.
