Chapter 1 - Not That Deep

It was a breezy summer night as the ocean played with the sand, as the moon and the stars danced around in the sky, as the sounds of the ocean sang their melodies, all mixing with the sound of a woman's feet pattering softly. Her long, braided bistre brown hair that lay happily amongst her shoulders, her lavish medium deep brown skin covered by a long white sundress, her chocolate brown eyes dazzling in the natural hue; it was perfect. She hummed while strolling along the path, the waves gently tickling her as she skipped, her plump lips having a soft smile on them. As she continued to move forward, her eyes kept glancing back at the shiny blue, her steps coming to a halt after some time. She stood there, waiting, kneeling down and happily splashing the body of water; alas, nothing.

Still, she remained hopeful as she stood up and tried again, strolling along and humming a quiet tune, the wind joining in with the song. It gently brushed against her dress as she giggled, pulling it back down before pausing once more, her eyes sparkling in the night. The woman looked back at the water, disappointment filling her lungs as she shook her head. However, as she turned to resume her journey, the woman gasped as she felt her ankle being caressed by a wet fingertip. "Oh my, did you actually come out tonight..?" a soft voice murmured, the woman turning back to the water and smiling. There, within the blue, stay a young siren, claimed to be so dangerous by those around her. Those luscious auburn locs, the eye-popping hickory skin, and the most stunning hazel eyes..!

"No wonder the siren had so many victims," the woman thought as she knelt down to her knees, grinning ear to ear as the siren got out of the water, laughing as she grunted. "Don't you laugh, Elizabeth! If you were used to water all your life, then you'd struggle to get out of the ocean, too!" the siren huffed as she finally managed to flop onto the soft and warm surface of the earth, moving her locs back and gazing at the human. "Sorry Lilith, sorry, but it's never not fun to watch your performance!" Elizabeth snickered, moving her braids to the other side of her head and twirling one with her finger. The two ladies gazed at each other for a moment before Lilith flopped back on the warmth, sighing as she admired the stars, Elizabeth happily sitting next to her, both women now rather close to each other.

"So do tell," Lilith started, her voice filled with wonder, "what on earth have you been up to lately? You know, being human and all?" she asked, slightly tilting her head. "Hm? Oh, nothing much…just trying to survive out here in this cold world…" Elizabeth responded gently, her fingers still treating her hair like a playground. "What about you, dear siren? What have you been doing?" she asked while turning her head, a lovely expression plastered on her face. Lilith's eyes widened slightly as she turned her head back to the stars, her face slightly warm as she rested her hands on her semi-plushy belly. "Nothing…just the usual…human men are stupid, I swear! Gosh, it's comical," she replied, her ears flickering happily as she heard the other chuckle. "Ohhhh….men." "Yeaaah…men."

The pair soon entered a bit of a giggle fit, their noises clasping hand-in-hand and flying around, colliding into one and dashing away to the stars. Once their noises died down, Lilith sat up and stretched, soon turning to the other woman with a toothy grin. "Wanna swim?" she asked, her ears flicking in excitement. "Huh? Oh no, no thank you," Elizabeth replied sadly, rubbing her arm with her normal smile, the siren noticing a dimple on her left cheek. "Oh? Why not, are you sick?" "I don't have a change of clothes! I don't want to get my dress wet…" "Ah, I see." The pair sat there for a moment as the siren pondered, jumping as a lightbulb flashed in her mind. "Why not swim naked?" she asked innocently, kicking her ugly human legs while looking at the other woman, a toothy grin arriving from her lips.

Elizabeth's face got hot as she turned away shyly, her braids protecting her eyes. "Oh I don't know…in the nude? In public?" she whispered, debating if it was worth it at the moment. Now yes, she was here in the middle of the night, and she was in a fairly empty area, but the thought of it all made her so…nervous, horrified that she'd get caught. What if a child caught her, or a childhood friend, or even worse: the pigs? Oh no, she couldn't do it, no way. Hesitantly Elizabeth began shaking her head, gazing up at Lilith and praying the siren would understand. Alas, the sea creature did, a nod in comprehension coming moments later. A soft sigh came from her throat as she looked at the water, the human beginning to panic as the siren slid away. "W-where are you going?!" she asked.

"You made up your mind, Eli, so I'm making up mine," the siren responded, soon disappearing into the void of blue, the human standing there in astonishment. There's no way Lilith would leave her like that…right? She'd never leave her high and dry…right? Elizabeth, whose mind was smacking against her skull, silently sat on the sand and stared at the stars, patiently waiting for the siren's return. Her fingers anxiously swayed with the mini rocks, rubbing their existence between the tips of each of them, her eyes never leaving the sky. She waited, and she waited, and she waited, the moon and the stars continuing their show, scared to see what she would do if they stopped. Her eyes, her poor chocolate eyes, they threatened to be watered down by her heart as it screamed in her throat.

Did she do something wrong? Lilith never reacted poorly whenever she said no, so why now, why vanish? She had to do something, she had to! There's no way she hadn't, but what? They were having a casual conversation, what could've happened? As the woman's mind drowned with her ideas, she was quickly pulled from the metaphorical water, Lilith soon popping up from the literal blue. "Oh wow, was I gone that long? You look like you're mourning your favorite movie character or something…" Lilith said as she got out of the water, her wobbly legs immediately plopping onto the sand as she scooted over to Elizabeth. The human's eyes were all wet, her hair was in her face, and she'd been messing with the sand for so long, it like she got damn blisters.

The siren tilted her head before giggling, covering her toothy grin with her hands as she looked at the woman besides her. "Oh Eli, you know I'd never leave you over saying you don't want to do something! How selfish do you think I am? I'm only greedy over food, silly," Lilith said before letting out a hearty laugh, leaning over and gently rubbing away Elizabeth's tears. "We've known each other for 20 years, and you think that would break us apart, please," she continued, cupping the human's cheeks and making her gasp. The pair stared into each other's eyes for a moment, and Lilith could've sworn she saw Elizabeth's soul, so pure and beautiful and making her own heart swell. The siren felt as her face boiled, and if her tail was visible, it would make the prettiest pattern in the sand.

She gently let go of the human and leaned back, their eyes never leaving each other's faces. "Yeah…probably should have thought about that," Elizabeth told Lilith, a hushed and delicate snicker coming from her upward lips. "Exactly! You're too precious for me to leave high and dry, so this behavior is unacceptable!" Lilith said while snickering herself, wiping the other's wet cheeks with the back of her hand. "Now close your eyes, I got you something from down under!" she said, a little sad as Elizabeth did as she was requested. Lilith carefully spat up a bag and put it behind her back, even standing up with her hideous legs as she wobbled. "Okayyy you can open them now!" she said, grinning as the human's windows were opened again, revealing her absolute favorite chocolate.

"Oh hey, you can walk now?" the human said, moving her braids out of her way before standing herself. "Ehhh…more like I can stand for longer periods of time without my tail; I still fall like a bumbling idiot whenever I walk," Lilith confessed, her hazel drizzle swimming in the beautiful chocolate ocean. "Ah…at least you can stand now!" "I know! Oh, let me give you your surprise!" With that, the siren's arms whipped around from behind her back, happily holding out the wet bag and showing it to the human in front of her. Elizabeth gently tilted her head to the left before leaning over, taking the bag and opening it, her dimple showing again as she searched the inside. She carefully pulled a bikini from inside the bag, her eyes shining when she noticed the adorable whales on the two-piece.

"Hope you don't mind I got it from my world…I had actually been waiting for you to give this to you!" the siren said, jumping as she was met with arms around her waist, her heart and head swirling and swapping places as the other's body pressed against her. "I adore it…thank you…" Elizabeth whispered in Lilith's ear, her voice soft as it blew against the flesh. The pair were locked together for a moment, a moment so long that the moon even began staring, the trees and ocean gossiping amongst themselves while studying the combined person on the beach, wanting nothing more than to stay together forever. Unfortunately one half of the body eventually pulled away, her braids resting on her shoulders as the other stayed still, her locs running down her back in a flustered state.

"I…uh…you're welcome," the other half said shyly, looking down and letting her little piggies play in the sand. She stared at the ground for a moment before picking it back up, her face growing hotter than the earth's core, the woman in front of her taking off her dress. "Wh-what are you doing?!" she sputtered as the other backed up, gasping as she handed her her flowy dress. "I mean…I have to put the bikini on…right?" Elizabeth replied, soon reaching back and unclipping her chest's prison cell. She hummed as two hefty sacks of meat flopped down, the brown bags hanging off her body as gravity tried to grab them, the pair rubbing together slightly due to their size. The woman smiled as they delicately rocked, swaying side to side in the moonlight and slowly waving at the siren. Lilith's head spun, her poor hands trembling in mixed feelings.

As her brain continued running around in her skull, she barely registered Elizabeth putting her chest's prison in her shaky palms, jumping when their large organ connected. "Are you okay? You feel hot," the human asked as she leaned forward, her voluminous sacks of meat freely hanging from her chest, as if the earth itself was trying to feast on them from below. "W-what? Oh, yeah! I-I'm…I'm fine…" Lilith stammered in response, a thick gulp traveling down her throat as she tried her best to swim in the chocolate, but she could tell her hazel wanted to drizzle elsewhere, making her worry if she had the strength to combat her feelings. As the siren fought with herself internally, the human reached down and gently slid off her lower body's cage, the free bird getting gently grazed by the wind as it passed through.

Puffy brown folds peeked between the human's plushy flesh, the soft bundle of nerves sitting so snugly that it was almost impossible to see. Natural cleanser oozed slightly from the bottom mouth as Elizabeth stepped forward again, Lilith's mouth tightly closed as her windows desperately tried to avoid the mystical figure in front of her. "Lily…are you sure you're okay?" Elizabeth asked, her beautiful bags swaying once again as she approached the siren once more. She reached out and softly cupped Lilith's warm face, and a wide smile was pressed on her lips, her chocolate wanting nothing more than to be dripped by the hazel. Alas, the hazel was doing everything but that, avoiding the body that was so close and precious to her, her heart flipping in her stomach.

Elizabeth giggled as she backed away, her fleshy feeders and bottom mouth being absorbed by the night. "Lilith…are you okay?" she asked once more, a sweet chuckle bubbling up from her throat as the siren weakly nodded. "Let me put on my bikini and I'll join you in the water, okay?" she said, walking over and hugging the other. Once again, it felt as if there was only a single person on that beach, delicate organ to delicate organ, arms wrapped around one, warm and mellow feeders pressed against one another, and those exquisite, wet folds carefully kissing the other's thigh; it was a masterpiece that neither wanted to end. For a few minutes, only one body was on the beach, shining brightly against the mini rocks, their breathing soft and steady.

Alas, just like before, one half of the body let go, leaving the other standing there, her voice roughly yanked out of her throat. How her body began yearning, craving for the other, her mouth dry yet wet all at once. Her brain and heart skipped rope inside her, swapping back and forth as her tongue darted out to moisten her lips. The siren tried to think of something, anything to say, but all that came out was a small, flustered noise. She gently put down the human's stuff and plopped onto the sand, quickly rolling into the water to cool herself off. Meanwhile, Elizabeth happily put on the bikini, giggling while admiring the whales on the clothes. She hummed as she sadly locked away her voluminous sacks before covering her soft bottom lips.

She noticed how the clothes were a bit snug, but she didn't mind, happily looking around before getting in the adoring blue. A loud laugh flew off her tongue as she emerged from the blue, swiveling her head to find the siren. "Lily! Lilith? You out there?" she called out, though she got no response. The woman swam a little further out and continued to call out for the other, the loud cries of the water covering the sound of someone emerging from behind her. She continued to swim, though she didn't want to leave the shore by much, the depths a considerable worry. As she looked around, the siren slowly crept behind her, her ears flicking playfully. Within a split second, Lilith suddenly emerged from the water while growling loudly, smiling as she hugged Elizabeth from behind.

The human squealed before turning her head back, a relieved laugh flying through the sky after she saw the other. "Lily! Don't do that, you goof," she squeaked, giggling as she felt the siren's cushy belly and broad feeders on her backside. Elizabeth reached down and wrapped her hand around Lilith's wrists, faintly putting them on her umbilical region. "Sorry, sorry, but it's been so long since we've swam together! Had to give you a little fright," Lilith replied, gently squishing Elizabeth where her hands were located. Soon enough, she began tickling the human, watching as she laughed and twisted in her grip in a rather wholesome manner. Giggles and cheers echoed through the water as the two stayed near each other, Elizabeth even managing to turn around and face Lilith as her fingers explored her sides.

"You're so silly, I swear!" the human laughed, squirming as her sides were messed with, her locked up meat sacks jiggling slightly. "Well when I'm dealing with someone as pretty as you, I have no choice!" the siren replied as she attacked the human, her own sacks soon pressed against the other as she halted her movements. The pair gazed into each other's eyes as the siren wrapped her arms around the human, their faces almost touching as their breath mixed into one, the stars beaming upon them as they water kept them close. Elizabeth tilted her head and gently smiled at Lilith, grabbing her plushy face and giving it a soft squeeze. Her eyes widened slightly as the siren began to tremble, and she could've sworn she heard her heart screaming through her body, echoing in the air.

She noticed how the hazel stuck to her, how her hickory organ was pressed immensely against her medium brown, how her auburn locs grazed against her shoulders lightly, and how her plushy arms refused to move from around her waist; if this was merely to be a dream, Elizabeth didn't want to wake up. Meanwhile Lilith did nothing but press her face against the human's hand, her arms refusing to move away from her, horrified at the thought of the human leaving her. However, she wanted more, she craved more, her body warm despite the cold water around her; she had to do something, she felt so desperate. With her thoughts running rampant, her heart had entered her head, the thinker whispering to the pumper as her eyes softened, giving her so many glamorous ideas that swirled.

Soon enough an idea landed, Lilith moving one of her arms from around Elizabeth before grabbing her hand. The human gasped quietly as the siren brought her hand up to her mouth, tenderly putting a kiss on her palm before nuzzling into her other hand. "Oh…are you a sweetheart…" Elizabeth whispered, her face finally growing hot as she tucked a braid behind her ear. "As are you…" Lilith replied feebly, still holding the human as her hazel fell into the water. The human delicately snagged the siren's chin as she squeaked, her eyes wide and her throat started to moisten as the human moved closer to her face. However, just before they reached each other, the human pulled back, instead opting to press a small kiss on the siren's forehead; oh, how the creature wanted to drown in the water.

Lilith gazed up at Elizabeth as she let go, a little frown on her face as the human submerged herself in the water, the creature having no choice but to follow her. What just happened back there? Why'd she stopped? Was she mad? Was the water cold? WHAT HAPPENED?! As the many thoughts pierced Lilith's brain, Elizabeth found a huge rock and climbed up, sitting on the surface and staring at the horizon. What just happened back there? Was that normal to do? Why did she feel so hot? Why was Lilith so hot in every way possible? Should she even feel what she's feeling?! How do you label this?! HOW!? The woman groaned and shoved her head in her hands, squeezing her eyes shut while she tried to silence the confusion running through her mind as Lilith crawled onto the same rock.

"Uhm…hey," the siren said as she plopped herself onto a lower level of the rock, awkwardly leaning against the taller part. "Hi…" the human replied, her face still in her palms as she tried to make sense of the situation. The sound of the ocean swirled around the two of them as the moon stared ahead, shining down on the two as they stayed on the rock, neither uttering a word. What was happening? This was so strange, it made both of them want to choke on sea shells. After what seemed like an eternity, Elizabeth finally uncovered her face, bringing her knees up to her chest and staring at the stars. Lilith's eyes followed, the duo gazing at the stars as they danced happily, though they were scattered everywhere. Once more, the ocean was the loudest thing, the two quiet.

It was like that for a few more minutes before Lilith cleared her throat, messing with her locs as she gazed at the stars. "Hey…Eli," Lilith started shyly, twisting the auburn cautiously, "…what do you consider us?" she hesititantly asked, her voice cracking as she leaned more on the stone. Elizabeth sat there quietly as her hands balled up, shaking slightly as she tried to think of a response, though her head spun so much it made it seem impossible. "I mean…we've been with each other for twenty entire years…we know each other well, right? It shouldn't be hard to label us…right?" Lilith murmured, her heart hurting as Elizabeth stayed quiet. The siren just wanted her to talk, that's all. Even if the label that came out of the human's mouth wasn't the one she wanted, the one she craved to hear, she didn't care.

For a little longer, it was silent, Elizabeth looking down as she finally thought of something to say. "I mean…yeah, I'd say we're pretty close…I'd say we're pretty good…" she started, though she didn't finish, unsure if the words she wanted to say were the right ones. How did she feel about all of this? Was that the correct label to use? Was the label she really wanted too much, too much of a reach? Her mouth soon became a desert, though her eyes were turning into the ocean in contrast, her chocolate being watered down before she desperately wiped it away, her thoughts making her swallow them in a painful sensation. Elizabeth did nothing but bite her lip as if it were a criminal, keeping her silent as she stared ahead, her watery chocolate burning the rest of her face.

Whilst the human tried to stay glued together, Lilith could only stare at her, a dreaded feeling entering her gut as she internally set herself ablaze. Why'd she ask that question? Everything was perfectly fine, why ask that, why push away something that had been built for years, why try to throw it all away over some stupid emotions? Lilith continued to stare at Elizabeth as the human looked down at the water as it tried to bite at her soles, both of their heads figuratively drowning as they tried to piece together the situation. Neither knew how to feel, how to explain what their hearts were screaming, how to spill their words out, how to even speak at the moment. The human's head swiveled before crashing into her skull, her breath beginning to pick up as she tried to look at the creature.

However, her voice cracked as the hazel drizzled over the chocolate, her brain completely malfunctioning as she choked back her emotions. In a frenzy, the woman desperately threw herself into the water, hastily swimming away and leaving Lilith on the cold, wet surface of the stone. The creature's head finally twisted towards the water, watching as it jumped up and fell, its movements smoother than the rock she lay on. She sat there as her brain stopped functioning properly, shaking and screaming and pulling at the skull while trying desperately to make sense of the situation, but nothing was working. How could she do that to Elizabeth? Why'd she ask that, why'd she screw it all up? She finally had the woman to herself for a moment, finally enough courage.

Lilith was such a freak for this, they can never talk about this after tonight, this was horrible. The woman looked over at herself in the smoothness, finding herself all dim and full of sharp edges, her locs all over her head as her hazel became salty and pathetic. She ran her fingers through the beautiful blue as her emotions boiled over in her body, the siren barely holding it together as her hand stayed in the blue. When she picked it up, little clones of the two women ran across the water, hand in hand, both smiling and laughing and staring at each other so lovingly that it made Lilith sick; maybe if she placed her face down, those delusions would stick with her, leaving her happy in the clouds. However, it suddenly dawned on her how the human jumped into the water recklessly, worrying her to her core.

With that, Lilith jumped into the water and began searching for Elizabeth, who meanwhile had made it safely to shore. She brought her knees up to her squishy sacks and hid her face in her arms, her chocolate getting all soggy before melting on her face. What is wrong with her? Why was she like this, why didn't she say anything? What a pathetic excuse of a human, a measly coward, running away at the smallest bit of confrontation. She couldn't even look the siren in the eye, couldn't finish her sentence, nothing; she ran away and hid, just like always. Depressing, horrendous sounds poured out of her gut as she curled up on the warm sand, the mini rocks attempting to hug her as they immediately stuck to her body, refusing to leave as she shook violently.

The woman's head felt as if it were on fire, burning her entire face and throbbing against her skull as she trembled, her heart covering itself to block out such nonsense. Why would she do that, why couldn't she say anything, why'd she freeze like that? Her heart kicked her ribs and screamed within its cage, Elizabeth's body rattling inside and out as she attempted to calm down. With shaky legs, she shifted herself towards her dress and under layers and grabbed them, wanting to do nothing more than to crawl into her own bed and rot away like the roach she was. Yet just before she could even try to remove her precious whales, the siren suddenly popped out of the water, her eyes so wide and broken. It was quiet as they stared at one another, neither moving from their current positions.

It was as though time had kept them frozen in place, as if something in the world wanted them to just stay like that, as if this were all a bad dream; perhaps they were now the world tonight, wanting to stay still and not make it worse for each other. Alas, poor Elizabeth moved first, shifting on the warm ground and gazing at the siren, watching her intensely as she flopped out of the water. The human awkwardly held her clothes and faced ahead, attempting to ignore Lilith's eyes on her face, jumping as she got closer. "Eli…are you okay? You seem…tense," she heard her mumble, her body beginning to shake again as she lowered her head, her braids smacking her cheeks lightly. "I-I'm fine…just tired," the human replied, her voice cracking a bit, cursing herself softly as Lilith scooched closer.

She gripped the clothes tightly as the siren responded with an unconvinced hum, a small sigh of relief leaving her throat as she turned her attention towards the ocean. "You know…you never were a good liar," Lilith scoffed as she drew a small picture in the sand, looking back at Elizabeth as she gave a saddened laugh in return. The human's eyes traveled to the drawing the other woman made, smiling softly as she watched the process of a little person with a heart being made. "Yeah…you're right. Cute drawing, by the way…that's the truth," she told the siren as she rested her chin against her arms, looking away and paying attention to the sparkly scene. In the meantime, the moon and stars came back out, the wind gently whispering in the trees' ears again before rushing away.

The trees and the moon and the stars and the ocean began gossiping once more as the combined body sat so perfectly still, so warm together on the sand, their breath in sync, the stars even dazzling and making the wet body shine in the night. After a moment, Lilith looked at Elizabeth again, the human softly looking back, the pair hesitant as the wind hushed everything around them before the siren spoke. "Hey," she started, clearing her throat as she sat up, "sorry for everything being so…abrupt. I mean, we were having fun and laughing on the sand…but then we went into the water, and it just turned into shit and- and- I'm sorry…" she said guiltily, putting a loc behind her ear as it twitched. "Huh..? No, no, it's my fault, Lily. Don't blame yourself, I was a complete idiot back there!" Elizabeth replied.

She gently reached out a hand and placed it on Lilith's shoulder, her dimple returning as she grinned at the siren, though she did not return such a gesture. "No, I completely messed it up back there, I mean- who just randomly asks those questions?!" she said, laughing awkwardly as she debated moving Elizabeth's hand or to let it stay, jumping as the human squeezed her organ gently. "No, it's fine, honest! I-I should've said something, and I mean, we were enjoying ourselves in the water but then I choked- it's not your fault, you didn't do anything wrong," the human went on, her eyes widening as the siren began to tremble. "I mean hell, I was so close to you and we were having fun, but then I- I just!…dear goodness me, I don't know…" she continued before finally stopping, her heart beating rapidly as her hand shook.

She turned away from the siren as she tried to get her thoughts together, though the creature didn't do the same, instead shaking as her hazel stared at the human's medium brown. There were so many questions yet so little answers, it felt as if she was going to explode. What if this was all a little trick that the human was playing, what if she was twisting her heart for the sheer thrill of it? She sucked in as much air as she could before puffing it out, looking away with the human, both looking at the sand they sat on. After a bit of awkward silence, Elizabeth moved her hand off of Lilith's shoulder, catching the siren's attention and causing her to look at the human. The human's eyes stayed on the ground as her lips hugged each other tightly, refusing to let go and preventing the human from spilling.

She didn't want any of her thoughts to ruin this night, she already ruined enough, she should just hide away and crawl into a ditch. "I…it's late, I should probably…head home," she muttered as she stood up, swallowing a huge puddle of saliva as the siren stood up with her, the creature refusing to stop looking at her as the human turned away. "Wait, you're just…you're just gonna leave?" Lilith scoffed, messing with her hair nervously as she felt herself freeze from her lower body. "Uhh…yeah…I ruined the whole night, I think I just need to sleep on it," Elizabeth responded, refusing to look back at the other as her eyes closed in confusion. The siren stared at the human as she began walking away, her eyes wide and growing wetter than her own home, her stupid human legs refusing to move.

"Wait Elizabeth-!" she called out as she tried to move, grunting as she stumbled and nearly fell on the soft, warm sand; it truly becomes a trap when it wants to. The siren called out a few more times as Elizabeth continued walking away, her head down as she kept her lips shut, her mouth dry as her eyes reflected the opposite, her body shaky as she held her clothes. She was so pathetic, why can't she just spill her mind like Lilith? The siren always knew what she wanted, always knew what to say, but here she was bottling herself up and leaving; over two decades later, she would've expected that trait to rub off on her. Meanwhile, the siren could only stand there and repeat the human's name, praying that the human would turn around. She tried to move her legs, but they only wobbled.

She wanted to move closer, to run towards the other, to squeeze her and make sure she never left her. The creature choked back on her emotions as she tried to move again, stumbling around before falling on her weak, human knees, throwing sand in frustration as it kept her in place. This was her fault, she brought up such a foolish question, WHY? Things have been fine these past two decades, what was the point to try and destroy what they built? Over stupid little feelings? She was never going to forgive herself over this, she just had to say something, she just had to know how Elizabeth felt, she just had to let her heart get in the way. The creature only sat in despair as she tried to call out to the human once more, yet alas, there was nothing, not even the soft putter patter of feet.

The siren heaved and let out an unpleasant sound of frustration, her heart screaming at her and ripping itself apart as it threw itself in her rib cage, the creature growing nauseous as she sobbed on the beach. However, just then, the moon and stars lit up the ocean particularly bright, the shimmering catching her attention. She cried and choked and sputtered more, attempting to stand but obviously failing. Nonetheless she tried again, and again, and again, eventually giving up and rolling into the water limply. She floated on the surface for a moment as she stared at the sky, half a heart floating in space and showing itself to the world. The siren sighed and dipped her head back, refusing to breathe as she kept her head backwards, her locs spreading out around her and floating by her.

Her heart continued to sulk in her body as her brain quickly tapped it, encouraging it to spill its true feelings. The siren gasped and sputtered as she flipped herself over, quickly swimming away from the shore and rushing away. Meanwhile Elizabeth continued to walk, nearing the stairs that led to the street. The woman sighed and decided to put her dress over her bikini, carrying her cages and looking straight ahead. Her own heart begged her brain to turn them around, to rethink this, but her mind was set, she already ruined everything. It was honestly a shock that Lilith could deal with her for all of these years, but to deal with her like that? No, no way, she was too horrendous for such a situation. As her brain and heart fought each other, the woman swallowed back her pride and tears.

She was slowly approaching the stairs and preparing to depart as she heard a noise, turning her head to find the culprit; it was just the water swishing around. The woman let out a sad chuckle as she walked away again, though she stopped when she heard the noise again. The woman turned her head again as she saw a tail wagging in the water, and even as her mind protested, her emotions began pushing it to the side. She slowly walked towards the water and knelt down, and just before she could touch the tail, Lilith's head popped up instead. Before Elizabeth could stop herself she was rubbing Lilith's head, though she couldn't find the strength to stop. The pair stared at each other for a moment, the wind gossiping to the rest of nature, all of their eyes peeping at the beach.

"I knew you'd come find me…" Elizabeth said softly as she kept rubbing the siren's head, her brain screeching at her as her heart tried to block it out. "Of course I would, when haven't I?" Lilith replied, attempting to cover up her voice cracking. She gently moved the human's hand off and watched as she stood up straight, eventually standing up herself, two stilts tied to each pathetic leg. "I- what…?" the human asked, tilting her head. "If you run away again, I can chase after you," the creature said, her face flat and serious as the human's face went a bit hot. She gulped as the other got close to her, her hands trembling and gripping her clothes, attempting to ground herself as Lilith got closer to her. The siren noticed such and grabbed her hands, tightening around them as the clothes fell.

The human shook and attempted to turn her head, gasping as the siren cupped her chin, both of the human's hands suddenly scrambling to grab the siren's one. "You know how I asked…what we are? How you felt about…us?" Lilith started, the hazel drizzling over the chocolate as Elizabeth nodded. "I…I think you're playing with my heart, Eli…I don't like that. When I say my heart, I mean my heart. You're playing with my heart, Eli," the siren continued, gently letting go of one of the human's hands and pointing at her chest. Elizabeth slowly and weakly nodded in guilt, jumping slightly as the siren soon pressed her finger against her chest as well. "This is also my heart, Eli. You're playing with my heart…I don't like it, and I know you don't, either. You've been playing with my heart for the longest and you keep running, Eli!"

The pair gazed at each other as Lilith gripped Elizabeth's hand tighter, both of their bodies shaky as the siren continued, the moon making sure the area were they stood glistened. "That's all you do, you keep running! I will never abandon you…you can say that…I cannot. I cannot say someone that I care so passionately about, someone who I will FOREVER treasure…I can never say that I won't be abandoned. You know I'd never do that to you…I want to say that too, Eli…" Lilith said, her voice breaking as she pulled Elizabeth closer to her, the human hesitant but allowing it. She was right, the human was too scared, far too weak to stay in the face of danger, whether personal or otherwise, she'd just cower away like tonight. How, how could Lilith deal with that? Why? She was horrible!

Why would she-? "I adore you, Eli…I…I adore you so deeply…I want you to stop running, please…" the siren suddenly said, snapping the human out of her thoughts as those words rang out. As she processed everything, the siren could only gaze at her, wanting to hear her say something, do something; she craved a reaction other than silence or cowering, she wanted something like in the water, she needed it. "I- I…" Elizabeth started, her heart and brain clashing again. No, no, this was definitely a dream! A really, REALLY big dream that she'd never want to wake up from, but a dream nonetheless! Her head spun, her knees felt heavy, she couldn't do this. She tried to pull away from the siren, her body trembling as the other still held her, refusing to let go, not until she said something.

"Lily I hear you, b-but it's really late..!" she squeaked out weakly, her feelings getting caught in her throat as she looked away from the siren. "…why do you always leave, but you crave to never be alone…?" the siren quietly asked, the human suddenly halting her struggles as she shot a surprised look at the creature, her face saddened and full of confusion. "You cry when you think I'm leaving you, but I never do! But then…then when I need you or want you…you leave..?" she whispered, her ears flattening as the woman's face softened, her struggles stopping completely. The ocean screamed at them as they stared at each other, their eyes twinkling in the darkness before Elizabeth looked away self-consciously, a soft squeaky sound coming from her throat as Lilith grabbed her chin.

"Please…answer my questions," she said before letting go, holding both of the woman's hands and guiding her into the shiny blue, her legs disappearing and being replaced with a tail. The pair stood there for a moment as Elizabeth tried to think of the words she wanted, her brain wanting to construct something that would help get out of such an ugly mess, to go home and never talk about this again. However as she tried, she realized that there weren't many words to express the feelings she had that wouldn't make things worse, her brain spiraling as she squeezed the siren's hands tighter. "Lily…I'm so sorry, I just…I just try my hardest to avoid confrontation, I guess? It's kind of hard to explain," she finally said, her voice softening and wanting to run with the wind.

"I figured. I mean, I don't like that all the time," Lilith replied, her tail splashing as she looked away shyly, taking a deep breath before looking at the human again. "That's why I talk about my feelings…I don't bottle them up until they explode like some rainbow confetti," she chuckled softly, Elizabeth's shoulders relaxing as she nodded. It was once again quiet between the pair, though Elizabeth gently tugged Lilith and pointed at the beach. "I'm…I'm a little cold…may we talk on the sand..?" she asked, smiling as the pair got out of the water and sat on the beach; the siren held her hand tight, not even trying to let go. The pair stared up at the stars for a moment as their hearts danced alongside each other, with Lilith's brain on hush mode, Elizabeth's brain screaming at her on the other hand.

What if she screwed this up? What if this was all about nothing? She could live, talking about feelings were stupid. However, even as the inner battle raged on, Elizabeth simply laid down on the sand, Lilith joining her and looking at the sky. "You know…I really…really love…nights like this," the human whispered, the siren disappointed in those words. "Yeah…me too…they're nice and peaceful…" she replied, hiding the hurt in her voice. Their hearts continued to dance, but that brain, that pesky brain, locking the heart up and preventing it from screaming its true self. Elizabeth sighed and closed her eyes, taking deep breaths as she tried to silence everything, though it got worse as Lilith gently scooted next to her, their organs touching again on the relaxing warmth.

"Hi," she said, turning her head and smiling. Her smile grew wider as the human looked back at her, her heart's dancing becoming faster as the human smiled back, those darn dimples waving happily. "Hi," the woman whispered back, just now noticing how close their faces were. The human could feel herself growing hotter, her brain continuing to yell at her. They shouldn't! She's horrible and Lilith was perfect, no way someone as pathetic as her should be this close to her! Elizabeth hesitantly sat up, looking straight at the water and not even noticing that Lilith sat up as well. "Eli…? Is everything alright?" the siren asked, and Elizabeth knew that lying wouldn't get her anywhere. With a huff, the human shook her head and looked down at her feet, nervously meddling with her hands as she bit her lip.

"Uhh…not really," she replied before lifting her head up, looking at the other half as she was ogled at. "Well…tell me!" Lilith insisted, her eyes and smile wide as ever. The human's mouth opened to speak, but not a single word came out, the opened gate closing shortly afterwards. Elizabeth shook her head and stood up, backing away slightly as Lilith also stood. "I-it's stupid, I don't think it's worth saying," the human finally muttered as she tugged on her dress, backing away again as the siren tried to hold her hand. "If it's so silly, you should say how you feel," she said, her ears flapping as she stared at the other. Elizabeth's mind ran around her body as it tried to convince her not to say anything, clashing once more with her heart as her trembling hands clenching her dress tightly.

"I got all day…" she heard Lilith murmur, her entire body beginning to ache and shake as she looked at the ground, the words swirling in her throat as her mind fought back. Her breath hitched as the creature reached out, the human's stupid chocolate getting all wet and runny, her legs begging to move away, to get out of there, to just leave; her heart prevailed, now fighting two instead of one. Lilith gently reached out and cupped Elizabeth's wet cheek, her gaze so soft as though she were a teddy bear, wanting nothing more to hug her and kiss her and tell her everything will be okay. She hesitantly darted her tongue to her lips, moistening the gates before retreating to the cave, unfortunately bringing a bit of salt along the way and leaving a weird taste within her throat; better than sludgy.

"I've got just about forever for you…talk to me," Lilith pushed, her ears drooping as the other choked on her sob. God, Elizabeth hated how she was proving her words, always there her and her foolish behavior yet never able to reciprocate those actions, just running and hiding everything. Another sob escaped her as she tried to open her mouth, her legs buckling slightly as her wet chocolate was drizzled by the hazel, not able to bring themselves to move away. "I-I just…I don't know, my head's all messed up…" she claimed, her lip trembling a little. "I mean, I'm so- so cowardly, I don't know-!" she accidentally blurted, her face hot as she slapped her hand over her mouth. "I think everyone has cowardice tendencies, depends how you use it," the siren responded.

She gently pressed against the human's face more, and at this point, her heart prevailed. She pushed her mind and nerves to the side and let her heart stand front and center, her lip trembling more as she tried to hold back all of her emotions. "But not like this, though! Twenty years, twenty, and you're right, I can never be by your side! I always leave in the heat of the moment, I'll duck and hide, but I'm never by you! I'm- I'm sorry, I'm so sorry, I'm horrible to you!" she cried out, spilling a lot more than she wanted or planned; in a weird way, it felt incredibly good. "Hell, I can't even answer your questions! I hide, I just crawl away like a filthy loser! How have you dealt with me for this long, how?!" she continued, grabbing the hand on her face and holding it, her entire face beginning to flood.

"I don't know how to label us, I admit it, I don't! After a while I didn't know what to call us, so I just never used one, because if I used one and it was wrong, I didn't want you to leave me! I didn't want you to hate me or think that everything was too much, I wanted us to stay together, I thought everything would be fine if I said nothing!" she yanked out, somewhat forcing herself to spill out her guts as her gates crashed open, her chocolate eyes pouring down her face, her lip trembling in misery. Meanwhile Lilith only stared at her, her mouth slightly agape as the hazel poured into the running chocolate. She internally crossed her fingers and began begging to whatever higher being that this was real as she pulled the human against her, jumping slightly as Elizabeth quickly wiped her arms around her.

"I don't know what I did to deserve you, Lily, I don't, I really don't," Elizabeth mumbled while hiccuping, the pair holding each other on the sand as it crinkled beneath them. "Simple: be the most precious thing to ever exist. You'll always be precious to me, Eli…just…stop running from your feelings? Please?" Lilith asked with a smile, her face growing hot as the human gently held her cheeks. Their eyes locked onto each other and danced in the night, the moon and stars and ocean watching intently as their organs stayed close. With a final plea, the human's brain tried to tell her to leave, to just rush away, but she refused. "I'm…so sorry," Elizabeth whispered to Lilith as she moved some of her locs out of her face, the siren keeping her arms around the other's waist as their eyes softened.

However, the siren's eyes soon flew wide open as the human moved closer, pulling her hickory skin towards her medium brown, two pairs of pretty pink lips connecting in the moonlight. Lilith's eyes twinkled for a moment before they closed, pressing the human closer to her as her mouth opened slightly. An excited noise came out her mouth as the human's wet organ swirled around hers, exploring the inside of her cheeks and gathering the sweet nectar from inside. The siren huffed as the human held her face, happily allowing her to use her lips, pushing the organ in and out before pulling away. The pair panted heavily as they gawked at each other, the siren picking the human up and holding her by her legs, their foreheads pressed against in awe and shock.

"…I've wanted to do that…for so long," Lilith mumbled, leaning over and licking the human's chin. "Oh, you and I both," Elizabeth huskily replied, her tongue flicking out and tasting the siren's upper lips. Their lips soon clashed together again as the siren stumbled with the human in her arms, hungrily tasting each other's mouths as they panted in each other's wet caves. Their tongues danced as if they'd disappear after that night, hugging and touching and sliding wet substances on one another, the human even rolling her hips in the siren's grasp. In a heat of passion the siren moved her head back, hastily shoving her hot face between the human's meat sacks, the human gasping as the creature rapidly moved her face between them; both of them had to be dead, because this was pure heaven.

The human's body heated more as the creature grabbed the bottom of her dress, her stomach swirling as she quickly grabbed her hand and pushed it away. "Lily..! Not in public…!" she pleaded, sighing in relief as the siren listened. Though a small frown formed on her face as the creature pulled out of the hefty feeders, opting to rest her cheek on it instead. "Sorry, sorry…but I've been wanting to do this for so long!…I got carried away," Lilith mumbled shyly, grinning before playfully nipping at Elizabeth's chest. "Hey! Mouth to yourself!" the woman squealed, laughing wholeheartedly as she was gently placed down on the sand. The woman happily embraced the siren again, the moon and stars and ocean cheering in delightment as the body was finally whole, finally as one.

"Sooo…" Lilith began, looking up at the other, "what are we? What's our…label..?" she asked, her ears flickering as Elizabeth pressed a little kiss on her temple. "Ehhh…gotta figure that out myself first," Elizabeth hummed, jumping as she felt one of her sacks squeezed by the other as she giggled. "How rude! Anyway…for now, I say to enjoy each other's company-!" "We've been doing that for two decades." "If you would let me finish…I say we enjoy each other more than usual, and embrace the fact that we aren't exactly…you know." "Oh, Eli, we are much more than that." The pair soon giggled with one another as Lilith happily kissed the woman on the lips, their smiles connecting before they pulled apart. "Hey, look at that!" Lilith said excitedly as the pair looked up.

Even bigger grins were plastered across their faces as the stars aligned into a huge heart, dancing in the air as throwing a blanket over them as they stayed on the beach. Lilith somewhat let go of Elizabeth and pointed at the sky, her face softening as her ears flickered. "That," she whispered, "that's how I describe us, that's how I want us to be," she said, her heart swelling as the two embraced once more, the body dancing in the shiny heart. Elizabeth still couldn't understand why she was chosen, but for once, it felt good not to think about it too much, to not run away; it felt so amazing to just be there in the moment, to be there for Lilith. The pair's hearts were hand in hand as they flew away, leaving their bodies behind. "I adore you, Eli…so much." "I know, Lily…and how I adore you too."
