Still traversing on the road Geek is trying his best to maintain the balance of the wagon, while steering his friends to safety as fast as he can, while the others in the back of the wagon are feeling the rustling of the wagon moving faster and faster. While waiting to get to the nearest tavern, Jin is calmly meditating as he is levitating but is station on the ground of the wagon. Meanwhile Gale and Ralian are discussing plans for what they will do if they ever get to Livestock, and finally Ezrael is looking across the distance from the back of the wagon, as he only have one thing onto his mind a certain Siren, feeling the scar on his face received from Moria, he feels a bit humiliated not only he was almost defeated. But how his sword easily broke by Moria's spear, then a new thought coursed through his mind.
"What was that spear made of"
From his mind he tried to think what was the spear made of, but when he thought of the tip of the spear, it was a little dirty but it was coloured white. Though it looked a little dull, with was sharpened enough to break his weapon. Then suddenly a new thought arrived but it felt more an anxious feeling as he is aware of what the spear is made of, but suddenly the wagon stopped.
"Alright everyone we're here, let's quickly get inside where the light is and make sure no one goes out in this den of night"
While Geek is banging on the wood the others soon gets off the wagon, and head towards the tavern. Once they got off the wagon they all made their way into the tavern, and too witnessed its empty and no life insight.
"Hey Geek what happened here"
"I'm not sure back then this tavern used to flourish with people. I even met the owner".
"Hey Jin can you sense..." they looked at Jin, but his face was only filled with sadness seeing the inside of the broken tavern. Still remembering that he used to own a tavern before he was met with tragedy. They let him ease himself as they looked around at the ruin furniture of the tavern.
Then suddenly they heard a loud ruckus from one of the rooms "well since the east of Devandia had suffered the most damage. We should be highly careful of our surroundings"
"Your right Ezrael. Jin, can you do your wind check again"
Jin nodded hesitantly almost, but still summoned a small burst of wind that was enough for him to sense as he scattered them throughout the whole tavern but he couldn't sense anything. Until then he suddenly sense something but it was faint though it felt ravenous and it is slowly approaching towards them with a rapid paced.
"Geek you should stay at the wagon, I sent a construct to tell you it's safe"
"Jin what's going on did you sense something"
"Now's not the time. Prepare for battle".
As they hear the sound of wood breaking and heading closer towards them, Gal quickly creates a torch and lights it with their sword and shield letting it spark onto the torch for light, and creates two more and hands it to Jin, and Ezrael.
"Here take these"
"Gale why don't I get one"
"Really we're gonna have this conversation a bow requires two hands to hold. I don't want to get your hands full while holding a touch"
"Don't worry let me handle that"
Jin then levitate all three touch easily without letting the touches burnt out making sure they are near them.
"Thanks Jin, alright it's best if we stick together"
But as they look around Ezrael is nowhere to be seen "where is he" Gale looking around trying to see any trace of Ezrael.
"Gale not now, you said he's a strong fighter so he would survive".
Suddenly they hear more growling heading closer towards them, as if it was around them, Jin quickly levitate the torch towards the nearest growl they heard, fast enough to see a glimpse of the creature with his sharp fangs, that has more than one eye, with many legs.
"Guy, we got spiders"
"Spiders, how big?"
"The big one" Jin uses a burst of wind launching one of the spiders away.
"They could be from though populated caves"
"I don't understand spiders this big can withstand the outside especially if its a full moon"
"Make sense for Druids to learn about these species"
Then Ralian quickly fired two arrows making one of the spiders leave the rest. "It was a lesson about enemy from the dark world"
"Maybe it's best not to dwell on that subject, and focus on getting this eight legged freaks away"
Gale using their shield to push the spiders away, while using their sword to slash the spider webs away.
"Honestly they are more easier to deal with then I thought" Gale getting a bit confident.
"Don't get too overconfident Gale. Spiders may look weak, but if there's a lot of them especially a courier, they can overwhelm you" Ralian shooting a spider that was about to ambush Gale.
"You should listen to her, the bookworm did the research"
"can you not" Ralian a bit annoyed at the nickname.
"Sorry, but just like Dani, me and Venny were more of plan and dash at the same time, while we listen to Dani's plan on the flow"
"Yeah, maybe you should try adapting to you new team"
"Relax Ralian I know what I'm doing" as Jin pushes multiple spiders away with a single burst of wind.
"Hey Ralian is there any more knowledge you know about its species" Gale slamming their shield onto the spider charging towards them.
"Yes when there's multiple spiders in one location, a hive to be precise there is always a queen". Suddenly louds steps can be heard getting closer as it's rushing towards them, soon a large blast of webs began to shoot from the dark hallway.
"Quick get behind me!" Jin shouted as Gale and Ralian quickly get behind Jin as he brings out the three torches as he creates a wind current with oxygen allowing the flames to spread as it incinerates the webs.
"How was that possible, how did you even do that?" Railian asking with questions.
"I don't know, I guess it was natural letting the wind control most of the elements"
"That's doesn't even make sense"
"Lets just say my abilities has evolved over the ten years, you know why my bounty was high, besides killing Hiandikiz".
Then the steps began more louder as a queen spider approaches them, but as they were about to fight the queen spider. She was immediately slashed in half as both halves of her body fall away from each other as they see Ezrael with the chain sickle in hand the blade pointing upwards as the chains are wrapped around on part of his legs, as he sighs in relief before swinging his chain sickle back onto his hilt.
"Ezrael where were you" Ralian asking a question, but he did respond to her only walking up to Gale handing them a fang.
"What's this for?"
"In times of needs it may prove useful in battle"
"Is it a spider's fang"
"Not necessarily, but know this Traveler it may prove useful in battle when you most need it"
"Isn't that what you just said?" Then walking past Gale he head towards the front door.
"Your leaving already why?" Gale asked
"You all have your quest to find whoever did this to the people of Livestock, I have my own task"
"But couldn't we all do this together"
"Unfortunately no, but listen Traveler when you think you and your comrades are in danger this time I will be their to help you all. Until then farewell".
Then Ezrael leaves the tavern leaping over Geeks wagon as Geek watches from above to see the sun rising and Ezrael heading for the rising sun. While the three head outside to see the sun rising knowing how fast the sun suddenly rose up in the matter of an hour.
"Its already daytime how long have we've been fighting their for"
"Now not the time, all we need to do now it to continue our quest with or without Ezrael, Geek you think you can bring us there"
"Ralian, I will be willing to help out a friend to helped me through and through. Hop on".
Gale, Ralian, and Jin quickly hopped onto Geek's wagon, as he lightly tapped his horse signaling to move forward as they moved back onto the direction towards Livestock. However as Ezrael left the others from a far enough distance he stands on the place he landed he pull out his destroyed sword, his once trusty weapon. Now still needing a sword to use his special technique, he understands his goal before assisting the one he trusted to most, leaping further and further as he found another way to help Gale and their friends.
