Chapter 6 - Chapter 6 - First meeting with Jayden

Jayden narrowed his eyes, staring at the twin girls—Yuna and Luna—standing near his car. He examined them silently, his presence exuding a tension that seemed to warp the very air around him.

Two guards approached, the same men who typically secured the hideout that housed his syndicate's operations. One of them spoke cautiously.

"Sir, do you need assistance?"

Jayden didn't take his eyes off the twins. "No. This is a personal matter. Leave—and stay out of it."

"But sir—"

"I said leave. If either of you dares to peek, I'll gouge his eyes out."

His voice was cold, deadly, with a sharp edge that made both men stiffen. Without another word, they turned and slipped into the hideout, closing the heavy door behind them.

Jayden returned his focus to the girls. "You must be the Ribwan twins—the ones who were kidnapped by one of the gangs a while ago."

Yuna answered first. "Yes, that's us."

"So, are you here to buy my car? Or is there something else you want?"

Luna stepped forward. "Drop the act. We know you're a Stone heir. You've been watching us for some time, and you sent Seto to test us—to see if we're Stone Heirs too."

Jayden scoffed. "For some time? No. I only sensed your presence after Seto and his team died. I had nothing to do with him."

"Then why did you show up at the hospital we were in?"

"I was visiting a friend. Pure coincidence that I found you two there."

Luna turned to her twin sister. "He doesn't seem to be lying."

Yuna nodded slowly. "Looks like we were wrong this time."

Jayden let out a disappointed sigh. "You were wrong, yes. And it's a shame. I had hoped the one I was searching for would be a man… someone I could fight properly. A real test of strength."

"You're insane," Yuna snapped. "Do you want to fight just for fun? To possibly kill someone for the thrill?"

"I never said I wanted to kill him," Jayden replied coolly. "Just defeat him. You girls wouldn't understand. Men like to prove their strength. And I'm not someone who picks fights with women."

Luna raised an eyebrow. "Wait—are you saying you think you're stronger than us?"

"I don't think—I know I am."

The twins burst into laughter. Luna laughed so hard she fell to the ground, clutching her stomach.

Jayden blinked in confusion. "Are you two insane?"

Luna wiped a tear from her eye. "No, we've just gone mad from laughing at the joke you just told."

Jayden's eyes narrowed. "Whichever of you is the Heir, I'll defeat her easily. My reservoir is far greater than either of yours. My weapon is unique. I was trained by a professional."

Luna crossed her arms. "So were we."

Jayden's brows furrowed. "We? You're both Heirs?"

"Yes," Yuna said firmly.

"That's not possible. The power of the Stone is supposed to pass to one of the twins. The other should remain ordinary."

Luna's voice was ice. "Why should we explain anything to you?"

"I'm just curious."

"Well, I don't care. Just know—we're a hundred times stronger than you."

"Luna, stop provoking him," Yuna warned.

Jayden's tone shifted, anger crackling in his voice. "Enough. Both of you—fight me. I don't care that you're girls. I care that you're arrogant. And I'm going to prove you wrong."

Without warning, Jayden summoned his weapon which was A large sword with a sharp blade beneath its black scabbard, and in the middle of that sword there are some cracks and

attacked the girls

Yuna summoned her shield just in time, blocking his vicious attack with difficulty. Luna drew her star , ready to retaliate—but Yuna raised her hand, stopping her mid-leap.

"Stop, Luna. You too, Jayden."

Jayden pulled his weapon back from her shield. Luna landed and hissed, "He's trying to kill us!"

Jayden said

"I told you—I don't intend to kill either of you. I just want to defeat you. Your arrogance is unbearable."

Yuna looked at him dead in the eye. "You should be glad there are other Stone Heirs. We're rare. Instead of picking fights, maybe try making allies."

"I already have allies," Jayden muttered. "You wouldn't understand. You're not a guy—you don't get it. If you were, we'd have already fought."

Yuna's eyes didn't flinch. "Maybe you don't understand because you are a guy. Women may be gentle and emotional but that doesn't mean we're always wrong. Men make mistakes too."

Jayden fell silent, staring at her. The truth was—he was lying. He had no friends. His "allies" were just subordinates.

He lowered his weapon. "Get away from my car. I want to go home."

Luna stepped aside, ready to leave—but Yuna surprised everyone by walking up to him.

"What are you doing?" Luna called.

"I want to talk to him," she replied.

She handed Jayden a folded slip of paper. "This is the address where my twin sister and I train to use our powers for good. If you want, you can join us."

Jayden took the paper, his expression unreadable. "So... what do you think?" she asked.

"I'll think about it. But I have one question."

"Go ahead."

"How did you know I was lying?"

"Simple," she smiled. "Your eyes."

"My eyes?"

"They changed when you said you had friends. Your expression shifted. Maybe because you were lying... or maybe because you wished it were true."

Luna returned, interrupting the moment. "That's just how my twin sister is—always trying to help others. And now, you're one of them."

Jayden chuckled. "I'll see if I'm free on that date."

"See you, then," Luna waved.

The twins left.

Jayden stood there, watching Yuna as she walked away. He was stunned—not just because she hadn't feared him—but because she'd offered him something he never thought he wanted: connection.

Later that night, after a quick shower, he sat on his bed and unfolded the paper again. The address was nearby. He stared at it, whispering to himself:

"I've never been good at making friends… but I'm tired of this life. Maybe it's time to try something new."

The Next Day

Jayden greeted his research team. "Morning."

"Good morning, boss," they replied in unison.

One of the men handed him a stack of papers. "Sir, here's the data on the people you asked us to analyze from the other day."

Jayden nodded, took the documents, and walked off. He flipped through the profiles until he reached the ones labeled Yuna and Luna Rebwan.

" Yuna, the sweet one—studies nursing. Luna, the cheerful one—studies astronomy . So alike that no one can tell them apart . Same clothes sometimes too . Only difference ? Yuna's got a mole on her right cheek. Luna's is on the left side of her forehead."

He folded the papers, slipped them into his jacket pocket, and headed to work.

Later that Day

Jayden arrived at the address on the note. There, sitting and studying on her tablet, was Yuna.

"You came," she said as she stood.

"I did."

"Welcome. By the way—what's your name?"

"Durbin Jayden."

"I'm Yuna Rebwan. Though I guess you already knew that."

"I did. So, where's your twin sister—the one who provoked me?"

"She'll be here after finishing some... errands."

"Errands like what?"

"I'll tell you, but don't ask me to explain."

"Fine."

"She went to steal chocolate and candy."

"What?!"

Jayden burst into laughter.

"Don't tell me that's what you're going to teach me."

"Of course not," Yuna smiled. "Come with me—we'll show you something more useful."

Jayden followed Yuna down a narrow corridor that led into a small warehouse tucked behind the training facility. It was quiet, with only the distant hum of power pulsing through hidden wires.

Inside the warehouse, they stopped in front of a curious silver chamber with a large door that resembled an elevator. Jayden tilted his head.

"What is this?" he asked.

Yuna placed a hand on the metallic door. "Take a guess."

"A very small room… with a very big door?"

"Close enough. It's called the Transport Box."

"The what now?"

"Transport Box," she repeated. "Come. You'll see."

Yuna stepped inside, and Jayden followed. She moved toward a glowing slot embedded in the wall and inserted a card with a name printed in a foreign language.

Then she focused.

Crackling energy began to swirl around her, electric and aquatic elements forming a glowing ring that floated midair. The room lit up with a blinding flash—then plunged into darkness. A second later, the door slid open with a hiss.

Jayden blinked.

They were no longer in the warehouse.

"What the hell...?" he breathed.

"We're in another country," Yuna said casually, stepping outside.

Jayden stepped outside also then looked back at the room. "Wait, seriously?"

"Seriously. The box absorbs energy from our Stones and uses it to teleport us. The card chooses the destination."

He nodded slowly. "So that card… directs the box?"

"Yes. You're catching on fast."

"Thanks," he murmured, a bit dazed.

After a short walk around the unfamiliar cityscape, they returned to the Transport Box and made their way back to the warehouse.

Meanwhile...

Back at the twins' home, Luna had just finished stashing her loot: piles of stolen chocolate and sweets hidden in the garage.

"We didn't buy a car," she muttered, "but at least we have something worth hiding here."

Suddenly, a familiar voice rang out behind her.

"There you are—still stealing candy like a hyperactive kid."

Luna froze and turned.

It was ( Clara Tidman )—a tall, bespectacled blonde with brown eyes and the sharp wit of someone who rarely lost an argument. A fellow member of Team Kaos.

"Don't be dramatic, Clara," Luna grinned. "I steal now, pay later. Consider it a… flexible loan system."

Clara rolled her eyes. "You always say the same thing every time I scold you."

"It's just candy. Besides, Yuna and I need it. Our Stone reservoirs are four times larger than normal—not just three."

"I know," Clara sighed. "Anyway, that's not why I'm here."

"Then why?"

"You moron—Yuna's waiting for you at the training site. She told me to remind you since I was passing by."

"WHAT?! I completely forgot!"

Luna darted out of the garage—then paused, turned around, and ran back inside.

"What now?" Clara asked.

Luna grinned, opening the garage again. "I need to grab a few sweets. For me and Yuna."

"Unbelievable. You really can't go without snacks, can you?"

"Nope!" Luna cheerfully replied, popping a lollipop into her mouth while stuffing a small bag with treats. She shut the door again and waved. "Thanks for the reminder! Catch you later, Clara!"

Clara watched her sprint off and shook her head. "What an airhead. Good thing Yuna knew she'd forget. That girl never changes."

Back at the Training Site

Yuna greeted her twin sister with a sharp look. "What took you so long? Don't tell me you forgot."

Luna chuckled, handing her the candy bag. "I'll admit it—I forgot. But Clara reminded me. So let's just get started."

Jayden watched their exchange with amusement. Luna turned to him asking

"So, what's your name again?"

"Durbin Jayden."

"How old are you?"

"Twenty-five."

"Ohh, four years older than us. Interesting."

Jayden raised an eyebrow. "What do those questions have to do with anything?"

"Simple. We're registering you as a new member."

"Wait. Member of what exactly?"

"Team Kaos," Luna announced proudly. "We're a group of wonder Stone heirs who use our powers for good."

Jayden crossed his arms. "And what makes you think I'll join?"

"That's entirely your choice. But if you're not interested, you're free to leave now."

Yuna stepped beside her twin sister adding " what do you think? "

Silence fell for a few seconds.

Jayden looked from one twin to the other, thoughtful.

Then he said, "...Fine. I'll join. I've always wanted to meet other Stone Heirs."

Yuna smiled. "Good. Welcome to the team."

"Not to spoil the moment," Luna cut in, "but I'm starving. And I brought snacks!"

"Then let's eat together,"
