"And then she glared at me saying he was only using me and would get tired of me soon and go back to her"
"Oh my, did he say anything to her ?" asked Mira.
Andriana blinked, "No but I did "
"You did ?....that's unexpected " commented Samantha
She smiled proudly, "I told her to leave ...and he smiled and said, you heard her "
Mira and Samantha beamed as they laughed.
"That is my girl, I like this new you " said Mira.
"I am glad he had your back, he really does like you " added Samantha.
"I was terrified, but when he held my hand and said he was in love with me, I got the courage to say that to her ", she explained.
"At least his being a good influence on you. I didn't think he could do it " said Mira.
Samantha glanced back at Andriana.
"I believe he did more than that ...I noticed you groan as you sat down, it's impossible to see unless you're observant like me " She said.
Andriana choked on her drink coughing. Mira moved softly tapping her back.
"Careful, that's dangerous " she said.
Samantha chuckled, "So something did happen ?"
Andriana looked up, filled with guilt. They had found out. She had not told them about what had happened after they got back home.
Mira's eyes bulged out with surprise.
"Andriana!" She yelled out.
Andriana moved back, but they cornered her with anticipation in their eyes.
"Something happened between us and it wasn't once or twice. I lost count after the fourth time " she let out.
"Oh my...that's interesting ", Samantha giggled.
"You what ...lost count ?" Mira added.
"It was so good and I ...it has been a while since I last .." she stammered, her face getting red.
Mira scoffed, "I just think you both were horny for eachother "
"They were since day one, you could see it in their eyes " said Samantha
"What? That is not true ", she protested.
They both laughed watching her hide her flushed face.
"So the reason I couldn't reach you yesterday wasn't that your phone was dead but because you were busy doing the nasty with him ", laughed Mira.
"I called you eventually" she defended herself.
"Yeah, late in the night " she said.
Andriana fell silent watching them laugh and tease her.
"Why didn't you tell me about you and David ?" She changed the subject.
Mira stopped laughing and tried to get up, but she pulled her back.
"I was worried about you, so I asked Karlye about who had taken you home, and he told me your boyfriend did ", said Andriana.
She glared back at her friend, "I knew you had a boyfriend but what I didnt know was that it was David".
Mira sighed.
"I wanted to tell you but then I found out who he really was ...and then you and Mr.lockhart met and things got complicated "
"I am not angry, I just feel like my problems keep me so occupied that I cannot even learn more about my friends. We have been friends for so long, but I didn't know much about you two".
Samantha and Mira got closer hugging her.
"No worries, you still have time and a lot of chances to do that ", said Mira.
"And you're already started, you finally came over to my place", said Samantha.
"And finally got to meet my ex-boyfriend", said Mira.
Andriana glanced to her, confused, "huh, ex-boyfriend, but I thought ".
"Ignore her, they are definitely dating. She is just acting that she's mad at him " said Samantha.
Samantha heard the doorbell ring and got up to get it.
"Boss, someone is here for you, she yelled, walking back.
Mira looked back to see David.
"Huh, what are you doing here " she frowned.
"To pick you up, you promised to have dinner with me " he said.
Mira blinked and sprang up, "Oh, I forgot about that ..sorry guys, I have to leave now ".
She grabbed her bag, waving back at them. Samantha and Andriana watched her walk out with David, who smiled briefly at them before following her.
"But I thought she said they weren't dating " laughed Andriana.
"I told you she was just pretending, she looked so happy ", said Mira.
Andriana's phone rang.
"That must be your man calling too" said Mira excusing herself.
Andriana giggled taking her phone out. It was an unknown number.
"Hello ", she answered.
"Do you think you can hide from me my sweet daughter "
Andriana frozen hearing her father's voice. He laughed heavily, breathing, "Why don't we meet and talk? "he suggested.
"There is nothing to talk about " she let out.
He chuckled, "Really now . Imagine my surprise to find out that your sister is in the hospital ".
She sprang up yelling, "Don't you dare touch her! "
Samantha, who was in the kitchen, looked back, surprised by the sudden change in behaviour.
"Then you will meet me " he said.
"Okay ...I will. I will do everything you want, just don't go near her ", she promised.
"That's my girl, I will let you know when and where to meet but for now, sit tight ", the call ended.
Andriana fell back tears brimming in her eyes.
"He found out about her " she cried.
Samantha came to her taking her hand.
"Calm down and tell me who it was " she said.
Andriana glanced at her, wondering if she could tell her, but that would put her in danger too.
"It's nothing, don't worry about it " she wiped her falling tears.
"Andriana you ..." She stopped her getting up.
"Sorry, Sam, I need to leave now, too. " Mr Lockhart might be worried now," she rushed to the door.
Samantha sighed following her to the door.
"Okay, call me when you reach home ", she said, hugging her.
Andriana nodded rushing off.
Samantha frowned closing the door.
Andriana was lost in her thoughts to notice the black expensive car parked outside the apartment building.
Quietly, she kept on walking, but soon she heard footsteps behind her. She stopped, and they did too. When she moved, they did too.
She gulped. Was it her father? Had he known where she was already.
She pulled out her phone, calling Karlye as her pace fastened, and he picked up.
"Hello ", he answered.
"I think someone is following me " she breathed.
"Huh, but ...".
"I can feel him right behind me, his following me" she panicked.
"Andriana, it's me. Look behind you " he said.
Her movement ceased and slowly she looked back to see Karlye right behind her.
She sighed and suddenly burst into tears.
Karlye flinched back in surprise to see her wailing.
She felt him come closer taking her cold hands into his.
"You scared me " she cried.
"I am sorry, I didn't mean to ", he apologised.
"Why would you do that ....it was so scary", she cried, hitting him with her bag.
Karlye looked confused about what to do, so he stood there and let her hit him.
"That was mean of you " she cried.
"I didn't mean to, I won't do it again, so please don't cry ", he said.
Andriana stepped back when he tried to get closer.
She noticed the car drive up slowly to them.
"Since you love walking, why don't you walk home then?" she sniffed.
Karlye watched her go to the car, get in, and close the door.
He moved to the car knocking on the window .
"My love, please let me in " he said.
The window lowered and she glared back at him.
"Bae, it's cold outside " he said.
Andriana smiled, looking away, as she gave the driver the signal to open the door, and Karlye smiled, getting in.
"Thanks, honey ", he said.
He could see the beaming smile on her face as she tried to avoid his gaze. He chuckled as the car drove off.
