Andriana sprang up as her eyes opened , waking up from the nightmare. She frowned, holding her head, the voices still lingering in her mind, repeating the same thing .
"Andriana, Andriana " she could hear the faint voice of someone calling her, it was Karlye.
A warm hand slowly took hers squeezing it.
"Breathe love ...breathe " she heard him say.
She took a deep breath and another, the more she did, the quieter the voices got.
"Look at me " his hand turned her face to him.
Andriana blinked, tears escaping her eyes, and he smiled, gently wiping them .
"Hi, my love", he muttered.
She gulped, tears forming in her eyes, as she burst out in sobs.
His smile was filled with sadness that matched hers as he pulled her close. Her tight hold on him showed just how scared she had been.
"Have some water ", he said, giving her some. She had finally calmed down.
She was holding his hand not letting go.
"Feeling better ?" he asked , Andriana nodded.
The door opened and Mira and David walked in.
Mira beamed rushing to the bed the moment she saw Andriana awake.
"You're awake ", she cried, hugging her.
Andriana smiled hugging her back.
"Don't ever scare me like that" she cried.
Andriana soothed her back nodding as she held back her own tears.
Mira pulled back, holding her hands. Her friend was looking so weak with a pale face, arms filled with bandages.
"You slept for so long was it because your body is all bruised ?" She sniffed.
Andriana blinked confused.
Mira wiped her tears, "It's been a week since you were brought here "
Andriana glanced at Karlye with surprise and he confirmed it with a nod.
Mira frowned, noticing something, then turned to Karlye.
"Have you told her yet ?" She asked.
He shook his head.
David quietly came closer, taking Mira away.
"I'm glad you're awake, Andriana. But we need to be somewhere now, but she will be back," he said.
"But wait, David ...I need to tell her something ", she argued, but he dragged her off.
Mira tried to stop him but he kept going as he covered her mouth. The door closed, and Andriana glanced up at Karlye.
Mira finally freed herself and glared back at David.
"Come on, love, let him be the one to tell her", he said.
"I wasn't going to tell her, that's up to him now. It was something else," she said, looking back at Andriana's room.
"She was quiet " she pointed out.
"And that is a problem cause ?" David asked.
"That last time I saw that look on her face, she didn't speak for months " she stated.

Andriana took Karlye's hand, pulling him down to the bed.
He sighed.
"Do you remember that pain you felt after I rescued you? You were bleeding so much ", he asked.
She nodded.
"It was because the stress and shock from what had happened to you affected the baby growing in your womb ", he explained.
She leaned back.
"You're pregnant, love ", he let out.
Silence filled the room like she was still registering what he had said.
Andriana slowly pulled away her hands and turned away.
She lay back down, closing her eyes.
"I guess your still feeling tired, get some rest"
She felt his weight leave the bed and the sound of his footsteps head to the door. She heard the door open then close.
Andriana's hands slid down to her belly squeezing it.
When he stepped out, he saw Mira and David still around.
"How did it go ?" Mira asked.
Karlye sighed.
"I am not sure, she didn't say anything, but her reaction was numb ", he said.
"And did she say anything ?" David asked still intrigued by what his girlfriend said to him earlier.
Karlye gazed back at him. "What do you mean I just..."
Mira cut in "What he means to say is that has Andriana said anything since she woke up ?"
Karlye fell silent thinking about it and realised since she opened her eyes Andriana hadn't said a word to him .
"No, she hasn't ", he said.
