Taichi and Matt watched with desperate hope as their two Ultimate-level partners charged forward.
"He's just one Perfect—we've got two Ultimates now. We can't lose this!"
Mimi clasped her hands tightly, eyes fixed on the battlefield with nervous tension.
"You okay, Birdramon?!"
Sora rushed to her injured partner, checking on the heavily wounded Birdramon after the blood whip strike.
"Ultimate Destroyer!"
MetalGreymon locked onto Daniel in the air and fired its signature move. Two shark-shaped missiles launched from its chest armor.
Daniel almost snorted. Missiles from the chest? On a male Digimon? Talk about bad design.
"Demon Blood Whip!"
He flicked his right-hand whip, redirecting both missiles off-course. They slammed into empty ground behind him—boom!—exploding with impressive force.
Myotismon's abilities felt natural in his hands now. He wielded them effortlessly, fully unlocking the vampire lord's potential without strain.
"Caesar Claw!"
Taking advantage of the opening, WereGarurumon leaped in close, slashing with razor-sharp claws in a crimson cross pattern.
The speed caught Daniel off-guard—he was sent flying back several meters. Lack of real combat experience, he noted. MetalGreymon followed up immediately, extending its massive black metal claw in a powerful thrust.
Myotismon's only true weakness was light; physical attacks barely registered. The claw strike only caused mild stinging.
"Night Raid!"
Daniel countered instantly. A massive swarm of bats materialized from his body, slamming into MetalGreymon's claw and overwhelming the giant Digimon, knocking it back.
WereGarurumon jumped in from the side—only to meet both blood whips blocking its path. Daniel lashed out relentlessly, sending the humanoid wolf crashing to the ground.
Even the downed MetalGreymon took more lashes, the sadistic whips dancing across its armor.
"Keep going, MetalGreymon! WereGarurumon—don't lose!"
Taichi shouted, anxiety etched on his face.
"This isn't good. Their energy is dropping fast—if this continues, they'll de-digivolve. Tentomon, can you still fight? If so, I need you to evolve and support them."
Koushiro, typing furiously on his laptop at the rear, looked grim.
The other Champions had been whipped into submission earlier and couldn't rise. Only Mimi's Togemon and Koushiro's Tentomon were still mobile.
"Koushiro, I'm ready! Tentomon—digivolve to MegaKabuterimon!"
Under the light of Koushiro's Crest, the small beetle Digimon transformed into a massive, deep-red armored beetle— MegaKabuterimon!
At the same moment, Mimi's Crest of Sincerity glowed brightly for the first time—its pure light enveloping Togemon.
"Togemon—super digivolve! Lillymon!"
The spiky cactus Digimon bloomed into a graceful flower fairy. A beautiful flower bud emerged from its head, opening to reveal Lillymon—an ethereal, elf-like beauty with a slender, enchanting figure. Four leaf-shaped wings fluttered behind her, carrying her petite yet alluring form through the air. Petals wrapped around her curvaceous body, releasing a soothing, floral fragrance. Lillymon, a Perfect-level fairy Digimon capable of flight, signature move: Flower Cannon.
"So beautiful... so cute. Is this what Togemon becomes?"
Mimi stared in awe at the fantasy-like fairy Digimon.
"Mimi, I feel your heart. Don't worry—with me here, no one will harm your pure spirit. Flower Cannon!"
Lillymon flashed a playful smile at Mimi, then summoned a blooming flower in her hands. Energy gathered in the petals. When it fully opened—a green energy beam shot toward Daniel.
"Mega Horn Cannon!"
Simultaneously, MegaKabuterimon's massive horn charged forward with overwhelming momentum.
"Another Crest activated. Can't underestimate these warriors... but that Lillymon—freshly evolved and absolutely stunning."
Even someone used to seeing all kinds of anime beauties couldn't help but feel drawn to Lillymon's elegant, mature allure—petals accentuating her graceful curves, wings shimmering like emerald silk.
"Redirect!"
Myotismon's psychic power activated—full inheritance meant Daniel could wield it too.
Just as MegaKabuterimon's charge and Lillymon's Flower Cannon neared him—both attacks vanished in a shimmer. In the next instant, they reappeared directly in front of MetalGreymon and WereGarurumon.
The redirected moves struck their own allies perfectly—like turning an opponent's strength against them.
"No way!"
Lillymon and MegaKabuterimon's expressions filled with shock—they couldn't stop in time. MetalGreymon and WereGarurumon had no room to dodge the incoming friendly fire.
BOOM!
The combined explosions rocked the battlefield. WereGarurumon, MetalGreymon, and MegaKabuterimon were blasted back, knocked out of their evolved forms and reverting to Rookie level—out of the fight.
Using the redirect had drained Daniel's mental energy noticeably. Seems like I can only pull that off four or five times max. My soul power isn't strong enough yet.
"Agumon!"
"Kabuterimon!"
"Gabumon!"
The warriors cried out in despair.
