Daniel searched through the original Myotismon's memories and discovered that opening the dimensional gate to the other world required a special key. From those memories, he learned the key consisted of nine specific Digimon cards. Each card had to be placed precisely into its corresponding slot for the gate to activate. Each set of keys worked only once—if it failed, new cards would need to be found.
Carrying the cards, Daniel arrived before the dimensional gate. The massive structure towered twenty meters high and more than ten meters wide. Weathered by countless ages, it exuded an ancient, imposing aura.
In front of the gate stood a small raised stone platform with nine slots—the keyholes for the cards. Gatomon, DemiDevimon, and the rest of his followers had already gathered, waiting respectfully. When Daniel appeared, they all dropped to one knee.
SkullBaluchimon drifted forward eerily and bowed. "Myotismon-sama, all forces stand ready. Awaiting your command!"
Behind SkullBaluchimon stood a group of cloaked Phantomon.
"Master, our group is assembled as well."
Gatomon knelt, with MetalSeadramon, SkullMeramon, and other powerful Digimon lined up behind her.
"Myotismon-sama, your carriage is prepared."
Beside DemiDevimon waited a luxurious carriage drawn by a dark dragon Digimon.
"Listen well," Daniel declared with commanding authority. "We have two objectives: find the eighth interference source, and conquer the other world alongside me!"
"Yes, Myotismon-sama!"
The Digimon below roared in excitement.
Daniel wasted no time. He produced the nine cards and placed them one by one into the slots, following the precise sequence from memory.
"Open the gate to the other world!"
With his shout, the stone platform erupted in dazzling multicolored light that bathed the ancient gate. The massive doors cracked open slowly, the gap widening until the other side became visible.
"Move out!"
Gatomon waved her hand backward. The Digimon behind her, barely containing their excitement, marched through the gate in disciplined order.
"Wait—stop right there, Myotismon!"
Just as the last Digimon passed through, Taichi's voice echoed from behind the portal. Hurried footsteps followed, and soon the seven warriors with their Digimon partners stood before Daniel.
"Elder Gennai has already told us your plan. I won't let you mess up our world or harm the eighth one."
Taichi shouted.
"And he told us the eighth is your weakness. If we find her first, you're finished."
Matt added coldly.
"You showing up here is perfect. Too bad you still can't stop me. Witness history changing right now."
Daniel's face broke into a smile at their arrival.
"Damn you, Myotismon! Give Lillymon back right now!"
Mimi glared furiously, looking ready to charge herself.
"Sorry, but Lillymon isn't here. If fate brings us together in the other world, maybe I'll let you see her. DemiDevimon—let's go!"
Daniel had no time for them. The gate was already beginning to close.
"Agumon—stop him!"
Taichi ordered urgently.
"Got it, Taichi! Agumon digivolve to Greymon! Greymon digivolve to MetalGreymon!"
Knowing Myotismon's strength, Agumon evolved straight to Ultimate.
"You too, Gabumon!"
Matt raised his Crest of Friendship and the digivice.
"Everyone—go!"
Gabumon followed, evolving twice to WereGarurumon. Sora's Biyomon, Koushiro's Tentomon, and Joe's Gomamon all reached Perfect level. Even T.K.'s Patamon managed to evolve to Angemon this time.
"Myotismon—you're not taking another step! Ultimate Destroyer!"
MetalGreymon launched two black shark-shaped missiles from its chest toward Daniel.
"Heavy Hammer Spark!"
Gomamon's Ultimate form swung a massive metal hammer.
"Still not giving up? You're no match for me! Demon Blood Whip!"
Daniel summoned the crimson whip and lashed it toward MetalGreymon's attack.
The missiles veered off course under the whip's strike, crashing into the hammer instead.
BOOM!
The massive explosion shook the ground, forcing the hammer-wielding Digimon back several steps.
"Myotismon—vanish in holy light! Heaven's Fist!"
Angemon's fist glowed, firing a beam of light straight at Daniel.
"Damn light attacks—Night Raid!"
Daniel's cape unleashed a swarm of bats that intercepted the beam. Though his light resistance had risen to 50%, taking a direct hit from Angemon would still hurt badly.
Light and darkness clashed. The Night Raid swarm gradually devoured the Heaven's Fist and redirected toward Angemon. With Daniel's increased power, the attack was far stronger than before.
"Caesar Claw!"
WereGarurumon flashed in close, claws slashing at Daniel's neck.
"Mega Horn Cannon!"
MegaKabuterimon's massive horn fired a red energy blast. One from the left, one from the right—they attacked while Daniel dealt with Angemon.
"Good job! Keep it up and finish him!"
Taichi encouraged from behind.
"Myotismon-sama—the gate is closing! Stop playing around!"
DemiDevimon called from the carriage.
"I'll let you live today. I'll be waiting in the other world. Let's see who finds her first."
Daniel extended two blood whips, lashing them toward WereGarurumon and MegaKabuterimon.
Compared to before, his power had grown tremendously. The whips struck first—sending both Ultimates flying over ten meters and forcing them to revert to Rookie level.
"He's way stronger than yesterday!"
Gabumon's reverted form struggled to rise, but pain coursed through its body.
"Demon Blood Whip!"
Daniel's assault continued. The whips danced wildly, striking every remaining Digimon and forcing them all back to Rookie stage.
One lash—and Perfects fell. The warriors stared in disbelief. Yesterday, Myotismon hadn't been this overwhelming.
"Chosen warriors—look forward to our reunion in the other world. Next time, I won't hold back! Haha..."
Daniel stepped into the carriage. The dark dragon pulled it forward, disappearing through the gate just as it sealed shut.
