Chapter 12 - Chapter 13 The Ring's Upgrade

Time passed in a haze. Lillymon awoke from the deepest sleep she'd ever known, her spirit brimming with energy. As she tried to rise, a dull ache between her legs made her let out a soft, pained murmur.

Opening her bright, lively eyes, she found Daniel still pressed against her petite frame, sleeping soundly. Without his black cape and clothes, he looked completely human—nothing like a Digimon at all.

"He looks just like Taichi or Mimi... I never imagined he'd be a Digimon like me."

Lillymon gently pushed Daniel's body aside and rose slowly. She gave the peacefully sleeping man one last lingering glance before quietly picking up her petal dress from the bed and slipping it over her delicate form.

"You really can't let your guard down for even a moment, can you?"

A blood-red whip suddenly appeared, binding her tightly. Lillymon turned in shock toward the bed—only to meet Daniel's half-smiling, half-mocking gaze.

"Myotismon... when did you wake up?"

Lillymon averted her eyes guiltily, struggling to find the right expression for the awkward situation.

Daniel gave the whip a sharp tug, pulling her close. One arm wrapped around her slim waist as he said, "If I hadn't woken up, you'd have slipped away without me noticing."

Seeing the firm resolve in his eyes, a mix of joy and frustration surged through Lillymon. *This wicked Myotismon... is he really going to make me oppose Mimi and the others?*

After what they'd shared earlier—the intense union—Lillymon felt Daniel had become the closest person to her heart, even more than her partner Mimi. Yet her mission remained etched in her very being: from the moment she was born, she'd been instilled with the duty to wait for the chosen warriors and help save the world.

"The forces of darkness are the enemies of the chosen ones. You won't use my power against Mimi and the others."

Lillymon struggled briefly, then surrendered and collapsed into his arms.

"This world has already changed because of me, Lillymon. Just wait and see—I'll defeat those seven warriors, and anyone else who stands in my way."

Daniel laughed heartily, leaning down to kiss her flushed lips.

Lillymon tilted her head, instinctively meeting his kiss. Just as they began to deepen the embrace, a knock at the door interrupted them.

"Come in!"

Only after Daniel's permission did the door open. Gatomon entered first, kneeling on one knee in a formal servant's bow.

"Master, the sun has set. Should we prepare to depart for the other world?"

Gatomon raised her head, awaiting orders.

But when her gaze landed on the scene, her eyes widened in disbelief. Daniel was gently stroking Lillymon's head, and Lillymon—eyes closed in contentment—leaned into the touch.

*Isn't that one of the chosen warriors' Digimon? How is she lying in Master's arms?*

Gatomon's heart filled with a mix of envy and jealousy.

"Has it been that long already? Gatomon, go notify the others to gather immediately at the gateway to the other world. We're heading out to conquer it."

Daniel hadn't realized how much time had passed. Reluctantly, he set aside thoughts of more time with Lillymon.

"Yes, Master!"

Gatomon cast a complicated glance at Lillymon before leaving the bedroom.

Daniel now faced a dilemma: what to do with Lillymon? He didn't want to drag her along everywhere—that would be inconvenient. But if he didn't keep watch, she might slip away.

"I wonder if the Ring of Faith from the Father can hold living beings..."

Daniel focused his consciousness on the ring on his right hand. The inner space had expanded dramatically. What was once a small ten-meter void shrouded in mist—limited by his weak soul—now stretched hundreds of square meters.

The space was no longer pure emptiness. Patches of earth had appeared, though still lifeless—no plants, no water, just bare ground.

"The stronger my soul, the bigger the space... perfect!"

To test it, Daniel summoned a single bat and willed it into the ring.

The bat entered without harm and began flying around the space, confused by the unfamiliar environment.

Daniel's face lit up with delight. The ring could indeed hold living creatures—a true divine artifact.

*This Ring of Faith must be modeled after something greater... a container of worlds, perhaps. With enough soul power, it could become a true paradise inside.*

He renamed it in his mind: the Ring of Dominion.

The task from the Trinity had once troubled him—he couldn't take his favorite anime girls with him. But now, with this function, the problem was solved.

Capturing Lillymon inside proved tricky at first. Several attempts failed—either his mental focus wasn't strong enough, or Lillymon's subconscious resisted.

After dozens of tries, he finally succeeded. Lillymon vanished into the ring's space.

*Hundreds of square meters is still small—like locking someone in a tiny room. If my soul grows stronger, it might become a real world with mountains and rivers. But for now... I hope she doesn't panic.*

Daniel steeled himself. Lillymon's reaction was stronger than expected. The naturally lively fairy couldn't stand the confinement. She cried and protested, looking pitiful.

But when he checked the ring again, the space had transformed. Flowers bloomed everywhere—a sea of petals, fragrant and vibrant. Lillymon had instinctively shaped her prison into a garden.

*Amazing... even trapped, she brings beauty.*

From the original Myotismon's memories, Daniel recalled how to open the dimensional gate to the other world (the real world). It required nine special Digimon cards—one for each slot. Each set of cards worked only once; failure meant finding new ones.

He gathered his thoughts. Conquest awaited.

"Time to move."
