Myotismon had fused completely with Daniel's soul—no longer a pure Digimon, but something closer to a true vampire demon. No wonder the database scans showed only question marks; even the most advanced systems couldn't fully classify this hybrid existence.
Daniel scanned the group of opposing warriors below. His gaze lingered on Sora and Mimi—the two stood no taller than his chest, their figures showing the early signs of maturity. Sora had that tomboyish edge, while Mimi was dressed in flashy, eye-catching style. He'd seen them in the anime countless times; cute in their own way, but nowhere near the level of his old world's standards.
"Not Myotismon—Myotismon-sama! How dare you show such disrespect to Myotismon-sama! Take this—Demi Dart!"
DemiDevimon screeched, producing a syringe from nowhere. It flashed through the air toward the leader.
"Petit Flame!"
Agumon spat a soccer-ball-sized fireball, knocking the dart aside.
"Everyone, protect them! Blazing Fireball!"
Gabumon fired a blue flame stream from its horn.
"Wing Flash!"
Kabuterimon's wings unleashed a streak of light.
"Air Cannon!"...
The six Rookie-level Digimon unleashed their signature attacks in a colorful barrage. Daniel didn't dodge. He let the energy slam into his cape.
Boom!
An explosion erupted around him, powerful enough to pulverize solid rock.
"Did we get him?"
Matt stared upward intently.
"Is that all you've got? Night Raid!"
As the dust cleared, Daniel stood untouched—not a speck of dirt on him. The gap between Perfect and Rookie was insurmountable, especially for someone edging toward Ultimate.
Countless bats erupted from his body, blotting out the sky. Under his command, they formed a charging formation and dove toward the group.
"So many bats—they won't stop! It hurts!"
Koushiro gritted his teeth, swatting one off his arm. The others fared no better, each stung and bitten.
"Taichi!"
"Koushiro!"
"Mimi!"
The seven partner Digimon glowed brilliantly, beginning their evolutions. In flashes of light, seven Champion-level forms appeared.
"Mega Flame!"
A massive fireball from Greymon (evolved from Agumon) collided with the bat swarm, carving a gap.
"Fox Flame!"
Garurumon added blue flames, intertwining with Greymon's red for a dazzling display.
"Everyone, get down! Needle Spray!"
Togemon spun rapidly, firing sharp needles in all directions. The bats fell in droves.
"Mega Blaster!"
Birdramon vibrated its wings, unleashing an electric plasma shot.
"Harpoon Torpedo!"
Ikkakumon fired cannonballs from its horn.
"Meteor Wing!"
Biyomon's evolved form hurled flaming feathers.
Only Patamon, unable to evolve on command, stuck to "Air Cannon!" Seven attacks converged, forcing the bat swarm to halt and suffer massive losses.
"Think that's enough? Demon Blood Whip!"
The sadistic weapon formed in Daniel's hand—a fresh crimson lash. He swept it toward Greymon.
The whip cracked like a serpent through the air, striking Greymon's head. The massive dinosaur was hurled back several meters.
"Haha..."
Daniel went dual-wield—two blood whips in hand—lashing wildly at the remaining six Champions. Red afterimages filled the space.
In moments, all six were beaten to the ground. Patamon, the last Rookie, was sent flying by Gatomon's Paw Punch.
Even downed, Daniel didn't stop. Inheriting some of Myotismon's sadistic streak, he kept whipping, laughing maniacally.
"Taichi... he's too strong."
Greymon groaned in pain.
"How is this possible?"
Taichi stared in shock—their partners defeated so easily.
"Garurumon, evolve! Champions can't handle a Perfect!"
Matt raised his Crest. Light flared.
"Greymon, evolve too!"
Taichi's Crest of Courage glowed in response.
"Think I'll let you? Demon Blood Whip!"
Daniel flicked both whips at tricky angles toward the evolving pair.
"We'll block! Evolve now!"
Biyomon's evolved form staggered up, spreading fiery wings to shield them.
The whips struck unimpeded, hurling the large Digimon back over ten meters—left gasping on the verge of deletion.
But it bought time. Greymon and Garurumon completed their evolutions.
MetalGreymon—twice the size, black mechanical parts gleaming coldly. WereGarurumon—humanoid stance, fierce and agile.
Ultimate Destroyer for MetalGreymon. Caesar Claw for WereGarurumon. The data flashed through Daniel's mind.
"Go, MetalGreymon!"
"Get him, WereGarurumon!"
Taichi and Matt watched with hope.
"He's just one Perfect—we have two now. We can't lose."
Mimi clasped her hands tightly, eyes fixed on the battlefield.
