Xie Wen sat in his opulent office busy reviewing documents when a soft knock was heard. He mumbled a 'come in' without bothering to look up. The door clicked open and a middle-aged alpha in a grey suit stepped inside carrying a tray with a white porcelain cup perched atop.
"Good morning sir...Your coffee,"the man said humbly setting the tray carefully on the empty space at the working desk.
"Thanks,"the twenty seven year old CEO said without drifting his gaze away from the documents,"What's my schedule like today?" He asked flipping through the last document.
The man , Secretary Shen immediately straightened his posture, clasping his hands at the front,a habit he had whenever he was addressing his boss. He had joined the company four years ago and since then he had proved to be more efficient like the CEO always preferred.
"Oh...you have a board meeting at ten and in the afternoon there's a meeting with a client,"Secretary Shen informed,his voice firm and professional.
"Got it,you may leave,"the CEO said flatly.
Secretary Shen bowed slightly and turned to walk out of the room. Before he could reach for the doorknob, the door burst open and a brown haired male walked in.
"Mr. Yu,"Secretary Shen greeted and stepped outside, shutting the door behind him.
There was always one person who had the audacity to walk into the CEO 's office without knocking; Yu Yang,his best friend,the now CFO of the company.
"When will you ever learn to knock?" Xie Wen asked in an annoyed voice.
"When you finally have something to hide,"Yu Yang sassed.
"How do you know I don't have things to hide?"
"I just know,"the omega said confidently,"What are you doing?" He asked stepping closer, leaning towards the seated male.
"Just reviewing some documents."
"Today I'm taking you out for lunch,you can't say no,"the omega said with finality leaving no room for negotiation because his friend had always turned down his invites for lunch,each time cooking up a different excuse.
"I have a meeting with a client in the afternoon I can't afford to be late."
"When's the meeting?"
Xie Wen sighed already aware of where that conversation was going. Yu Yang was relentless and he wouldn't stop till he agreed. So he might as well fulfill the omega's wish and get it over with.
"It's at two but we can leave a little earlier,"he said and a wide smile instantly lit the omega's countenance.
"Fine I'll go and make a reservation,"he said excitedly and skipped on his way out of the office.

The tall blonde haired omega stood in the front of the skyscraper,his doe eyes widening in awe. The words 'Lingyun Tech' were written on it in big bold letters. It was one of the biggest companies in Shanghai,known for its quality electronics and software applications. It almost reminded him of his father's company that had collapsed a few years ago.
Two years after his graduation,his father was found guilty of engaging in illegal business and thrown into jail,their properties were seized and they were declared bankrupt overnight. His mother couldn't take the blow and actually went crazy ending up in a psychiatric hospital. His family friends and relatives turned their backs on them when they needed them the most.
However,Guo Rui always believed his father had been framed by someone but he just didn't know who it was and didn't have any evidence. He had spent the last few years working his arse off to pay for his mother's health services. Life had become tough especially because of the fact that he was an omega and a beautiful one so many alphas tended to take advantage of him.Companies refused to hire him because he had been named as the son of a sinner.
After a recent visit to his father in jail,the old man advised him to seek his mate and ask for forgiveness because in their cruel world his mate was likely the only person that he could rely on. So here he was infront of the majestic building,his mate owned. Taking a deep breath he walked right into the building, heading directly to the reception.
"Hello, how may I help you?" The receptionist,a beautiful beta lady asked politely.
"I'm here to see Mr Xie,"he replied.
"Our CEO?" The receptionist looked taken aback by his response,"Uh... Do you have an appointment?" She asked composing herself.
"No."
"I'm sorry you can't see him without an appointment. Maybe you should make one,"she suggested politely.
"Okay."
"What's your name?"
"Guo Rui."
"You can wait in the lobby while I make one for you."
The omega nodded and headed to the lobby.
Guo Rui sighed for the umpteenth time each sigh louder than the other. He had spent two hours waiting for the CEO at the lobby and the receptionist kept looking at him like an outcast.
His stomach growled and he immediately twisted the cap of his water bottle taking a sip to calm his protesting stomach. He couldn't afford to buy lunch. That's when he saw him; walking into the lobby, wearing a long sleeved white shirt,his hands dipped inside the pocket of his pants chatting with a white haired man and behind them a short man trailed clutching a tablet in his hands.
Without thinking he rushed towards him only to pause a few meters from them and called out his name.
The alpha as well as the other two men turned around to face him. Xie Wen's face darkened the moment his eyes landed on him. The omega froze. Gone was the cute and chubby alpha from back then.
Everything about him had completely changed; even his aura. His once soft facial features were replaced by sharp striking features,his body was well built with his shirt outlining his abs. The rags that he usually wore in college were replaced by custom made suits with a sleek watching resting on his left hand's wrist.
"Who are you?" Xie Wen asked his voice dripping with disdain.
"Guo...Rui your ...mate,"the omega stuttered not sure if he was still qualified to be his mate.
"Mr Lu I'll have the contract drafted soon," he said turning to the white haired man , shooting him a professional smile.
"Then I'll be waiting for your good news,"the man smiled back.
"Secretary Shen please walk him out,"he said glancing at his secretary before drifting his gaze back to the omega.
"Guo Rui, huh?" He snickered his jaw clenching with unmistakable rage and disgust,"What a bad day. Look at you dressed in rags instead of clothes,a bottle of cheap bottled water, pathetic shoes,a childish face yet you claim to be my mate. What a joke,"he scoffed,"You think a poor omega like you that lives on part-time jobs deserves to talk to someone like me?"he questioned .
The words hit harder than expected. The alpha had literally taken the words out of his mouth.
"I'm sorry for what happened before,"the omega said.
"Security!" He called out and two muscular guys in uniforms appeared,"Drag this stray dog out of here,"he ordered and the two guys grabbed the slim male dragging him out despite him screaming in protest.
