"Murderer."
The voice cut into my ears like a poisoned blade, every single time I heard it was just like the first, bringing me unimaginable pain that I couldn't even hope of understanding.
The thick scent of blood lingered in the air, bringing me to the brink of passing out. Corpses littered every corner of my vision like patches of grass in a forest. The charred remains began to freeze into icy mountains, while magma rose from the ground next to them.
Weird music played in the background, like the northern tribes' ceremonial melody to honour the fallen.
Like a fairytale, everything I could only hear from bards or read in the ancient storybooks happened all around me.
My voice couldn't come out from my sealed lips, which felt as if they were glued together for eternity, hiding whatever the person I currently was had to say.
"You're still going to pretend we don't exist? After everything you've done to us- No, to the entire kingdom of Heartfell."
The person walked over to my body with carefully measured steps, not bothering to look into my eyes. Each sentence he said was filled with disgust towards me, but why? What could this person have possibly done to make someone hate them to such an extent?
His eyes briefly glanced at my failing body. He didn't worry; the amount of injuries he inflicted was far more than sufficient to kill someone. Still, it wasn't enough to end the life of a monster that was now lying on the ground below his feet.
Deep holes ran through every corner of his body as if pierced by a ray of light; the blood kept on being clogged inside the charred walls of his insides. Various cuts ran across both his face and body; some were older than him, while others looked fresh and had already started to regenerate.
"I-" Finally, the man whose body I was possessing spoke to the one above him; his tone didn't carry any trace of pain, almost like he didn't feel or didn't have a need to care for the wounds.
"I didn't mean to."Tears started to fall down his aged cheeks as he started to cry, or what seemed to be crying. There was no change except for the feeling of moisture on his face.As if the tears themself were just an act to make others feel bad for what they had done.
"You know me better than I do, and you still think it was my fault that it happened? Do you really think that-"
"Shut it." Meeting his gaze for the first time felt like looking at a bottomless abyss that wanted to swallow your entire being.
His voice shook as he cut 'me' off, lodging a sword inside my body once more with a quick thrust.
Why does he never say anything?
The person who stood above me wore a beautifull saphire colored armor, like a deep color of water that matched both his eyes and hair. Gold outlined every corner of his armor as if he were a king who took his time to simply meet 'me'.
He was old, older than me, but not by a lot. Looking like he was just in his twenties, his finely shaped face has been comforting me each time I come here.
A small beard covered his mouth; it wasn't big enough to even call it a beard, but I still decided to name it that way. Three swords were at his waist, or at least 'were' until one of them was put inside my chest.
"You don't know anything."
He muttered to the person he stood over, wiping blood from his slender fingers, he made a hand gesture to someone I was way too familiar with.
"I hope you finally understand the consequences of your actions, though... I'm not sure if it will help you in surviving this."
After the words left his mouth, a group of people appeared from behind as if they were nothing but a shadow of him.
The sky seemed to come to life, its starry surface moving like a worm the size of a castle, making its way to me. A number of weapons rose from the ground, too big to count with the human eye, like a wall of steel slowly closing in on me.
Fire and ice covered each half of my body, bringing pain that I was never accustomed to.My brain, blood, bones, skin. Every little part of my being felt as if it were being torn to shreds by everything that could have existed.
But the person i currently possess didn't flinch, instead he started to rise up like an undying corpse. A hand reached out to the blue haired man, both him and i seemed stunned by what was happening in this moment.
He didn't move, though, bracing the person who put his hand on his shoulder and, through the half-torn face of his, said in the calmest voice one could have had in his place.
"You... Will never forgive yourself for this..."
Knees that he previously had turned to dust as his body broke under its own weight. However, it was caught by the blue king, who watched as he started to lose his ability to speak.
"So.." Still, even after there was nothing but his head and torso remaining, he spoke completely unbothered by the pain.
"Let me carry the weight of your sins."
Only the head remained as the torso crumbled to dust, the stars eating away at everything they could find, the blood moving on its own through the veins of the man.
He stared at the hollow eyes of the corpse that had already been devoured, with a sigh, throwing away the head that had long been erased from existence. With a snap of his fingers, everything dissapeared as if it was a simple staged play, every magical power, every dead body, even the feelings i had before.
Disappeared in just a simple snap.
His tall back turned to the door, which rose from the ground unnoticed.Lying his hands on it's carved smooth surface, he pushed it lightly and light covered everything in sight. His body disappearing in the door was nothing but a misty silhouette after i was left there by myself staring at the place where i previously was.
Rest in peace.
Clasping my hands together, i bowed my head a little and turned to the same door which was opened by the blue king.
My fingers traced it's metallic surface as if it was the first time i saw it.But it was just a dream.
A dream that always comes to an end, and a dream that starts every day.The only thing that kept me away from others and the only place where I had someone I was close to.
The 'me' of this dream was a person hated by all, for a reason I hoped to never find out. I didn't want to come to hate this person. And I didn't wish to meet it again. Because the pain and suffering it holds are hidden from people. It's something I want to help him carry.
"Wake up."
