The screen glitched, crackling, and eventually shut down.
"Ugh, YONAS ODUMA, get over here NOW." An old man shouted, with a big frown on his face.
A well built and tall dark skinned man in a mechanic suit, ran towards the screen. He took one good look, rubbed it with his fingers, then hit it with a wrench, fixing it.
"Pop Pop, one of the stabilizers wasn't in place, all you had to do was hit it." Yonas said with a smile on his face as his pop pop groaned.
Meanwhile...
A little child cried, lost in a forest just outside of the capital city of the small planet Kcuts.
"M-m-MOMMYYYYYY"
He was all alone, and the sun was starting set, soon plax-wolves would start to awake from their nocturnal slumber. And after that—who knew what would happen to him. Until—
ZFWIIIPPP—
A black haired, above-average physique, teenager, zipped down on a zipline. As soon as he tried to reach for the kid, he felt it—plax-wolves, they were watching. The kid started to tremble.
"Zip it, I'll get you out of this... just gotta figure out how" He mumbled the last part, before strapping the kid to the zipline and pulling out his blaster.
"GO! GET OUT!" He screamed as the kid zoomed away on the zipline
Pewzsh— Pewzsh— Pewzsh—
He shot around the wolves like the environment owed him money, before putting his hand on the zipline and zooming away. Before he could fully reach the destination the friction started burning his hand, so he let go and tumbled down the mountain landing right in front of the ranger management crew.
"Park Ranger Jin Kazami !" The main Forest Ranger manager shouted.
"YES SIR!" Jin shouted back.
The Forest Ranger flinched—but regained his composure, and coughed.
"You disobeyed Ranger code-458b6, you are a PARK Ranger, not a Forest Ranger, understood?" The forest manager shouted.
"No sir, I did what had to be done." Jin replied before grabbing his jacket and bandaging his arm.
The Forest Manager stared right at Jin in awe as he left. "What am I to do with that boy" He thought in his head as Jin walked out of sight.
Meanwhile...
"HAI! HAI! HEEEE-YAH!" kids screamed as they punch and kicked punching bags. As their master, a dark skinned teenage girl, Layla Garrison.
"Alright students, bow... now turn to your parents... bow... session is finished, come back next week!" Layla instructed, as she grabbed a water bottle and chugged it down, before throwing it on the ground. She turned to see, her father, Matthew Garrison, entering.
"Still littering my daughter? In your uncles Dojo, this, this rough establishment. You're a Garrison, we are scientists, you are supposed to be the smartest girl of your generation, you're better than-"
FWOOSH— CRACK—!
Layla grabbed him by the collar, and threw him on the ground.
"Don't ever, call me your daughter, you PIG!" She screamed as she slammed the door.
"That rat, just as crazy as her mother was, but I have my own way of dealing with crazy rats..." Her father whispered as he lay on the ground.
Later that night, Yonas, Layla, and Jin arrive at the door to a lab, describing their days—Layla of course getting offended for everyone.
"Ugh, those bastards, adults are such bastards!"
Jin silently chuckled, keeping that lone wolf aura he has, while on the other hand—Yonas cackles, absolutely ear shattering "hee hee ha ha hoo"'s.
Wooshhh—
Jin, Yonas, and Layla all turn their eyes to the opening Lab doors, and standing there, leaning on a floating trash bin shaped robot, is a blonde hair, blue eyed teen female,
Riley Wattson
"Well you guys seem to have had a real bad day huh? Can't Relate." Riley said as she smirked.
"Shut up Riley" Layla said as she walked into the lab.
"Ooh~ she just shut you up!" Yonas said in a sing song tone.
Jin chuckled as he walked past Riley with Yonas.
"You brats! I let us use my dads lab as a hangout place at night and this is how you treat me?" Riley shouts as she charges after them.
Layla pauses—then butts in.
"What do you want us to do, pay? We're only 16, and we're all friends after all."
Riley looks at her as if she's gonna destroy her.
"In Riley's defense, we all have jobs anyway, even if we're all 16." Jin says, softly.
Riley's mood changes, as her eyes glow and she looks at Jin.
"Jinny-poo~ you're standing up for your wife?" Riley says as she jumps on his back.
"We're not married Riley" Jin says as he grunts to get her off.
"In my head we are" Riley mumbles as she jumps off of his back.
They walk to Riley's office, and look at all her stuff—Riley is a 16 year old genius after all. Yonas is looking around till he sees a poster.
"You guys ever thought of joining queen Fenikk's task force? I mean it's not a bad idea-"
Yonas gets cut off by Jin, Riley, then Layla.
"Yup"
"Of course"
"Duh"
They all look at each other, and in a few minutes, are all finished signing up online.
"pff- pff- pfft HAHAHAHA" All of them burst out into laughter.
The next day, they're all high up in the mountains, skipping work.
"Imagine if we actually showed up for the task force thing-y..." Layla comments, as if she means it, she doesn't.
But Jin being Jin, makes it a challenge.
"Bet"
WOOSH—
Jin starts running down the mountain.
"That stupid-" Layla starts, but is cut off, as Riley and Yonas follow.
"JIN BABY I'M COMING!"
"JIN BRO NO FAIR, YOU GOT A HEADSTART!"
And Layla is forced to follow along.
They all get into line, chuckling, as queen Fenikk, showcases the four most powerful ships in all of the universe:
A black one with immeasurable speed, Eagle.
A green one with defense and strength like no other, Bear.
A blue one with cloaking abilities and wormhole creating capabilities along with recon and info gathering, Bat.
And a purple one with destructive power never before seen, Tiger.
Everyone watches in awe, as Generals Mika and Micah stand up and point out the most powerful warriors to pilot the Nx ships. But as their chosen soldiers come up, the ships won't open, they just won't work.
"What the-" Micah and Mika say in unison
Until Fenikk feels a sharp pain in her heart, and falls on the ground.
"RUN!" she screams as huge red lasers blast from the sky.
Everyone looks up and sees black and red themed cruisers, it's the Zarkor army—no, their whole kingdom, the queen of Zarkor, Isabela, has a signature cruiser that stands in the sky, raining laser fire.
Micah and Mika get in their own ships and take them to the sky, immediately destroying the black and purple themed fighter jets. Everyone is running. Fenikk is crying, as Isabela gets ready to land.
Yonas, Jin, Riley, and Layla run past the Nx ships, until the ships glow.
"They've chosen you?" Fenikk mumbles "GET IN!"
Isabela lands.
"The ships—where are they?" She says as she smirks and evil smirk.
Before Fenikk can respond, Isabela's eyes land on the Nx ships, as they fly away.
Everyone is chattering on the communications, Yonas, Jin, Riley, and Layla.
"DID WE JUST DO THAT?!"
"WHAT THE QUIZNAK!"
"WE'RE GONNA DIE!!!!"
"WE GOTTA TURN BACK!"
As they are all chattering, they look at Mika and Micah's destroyed ships crashing onto the earth, and Jin takes control.
"We can't take them on our own, Riley, I know you're scared, but we need a wormhole."
Riley tries to wipe her tears, but then remembers she's in a suit, and doesn't want to take off her helmet.
"Okay Jin, we're all trusting you! Yonas, shield me."
Yonas' Nx ship creates a shield, and not long after, they are all sucked into a wormhole, and teleported to a random point in space.
And for the first time, Layla shows fear.
"We're stranded..."
