ROYAL VARDI – The Reign of a Royal Heart
Chapter 1: One Engagement, Many Stories
Prologue
Every village has its own identity.
Some are known for their traditions, others for their grand mansions.
But the village this story belongs to was known for one name alone—
Rajputana Haveli.
And the heart of that haveli was not its walls or wealth.
It was Priya Rajputana.
This is a story of an engagement.
But engagements are never just rituals.
They are silent tests of relationships,
the first trials of trust,
and sometimes…
the beginning of secrets long buried.
While celebrations filled the air,
somewhere in the shadows,
a mystery was slowly knocking at the door.
Morning Chaos & the Stubborn Sleep
Morning sunlight crept into every corner of the haveli.
The rhythm of drums, the soft melody of shehnai, and the chirping of birds announced a day of celebration.
The entire house was awake.
Entire… except one room.
"Everyone, hurry up! The groom's family will arrive any moment!"
Sunanda bhabhi's voice echoed through the corridors as she scolded the younger girls—
Siya, Riya, and Kiya.
Riya pouted.
"When the bride herself is still sleeping peacefully, why should we wake up?"
All eyes instinctively turned toward the same room upstairs.
Kirtida bhabhi frowned with concern.
"The girl who wakes up before sunrise every day to manage factories and companies—
how can she sleep in on her engagement day?"
Parvati bhabhi smirked.
"Looks like our Priya has decided to wake up like a queen today."
The bedroom door opened slightly.
The three sisters peeked inside.
The room was a complete mess.
"We needed her things," Kiya said innocently.
"So it got a little… spread out."
"Clean it right now!" Sunanda snapped.
"Or before Priya's wedding, I'll make sure you all remember today!"
How Do You Wake a Sleeping Queen?
They tried calling her name several times.
No response.
Kiya whispered,
"Mom… only Sarita bua can wake her up."
As if summoned by fate—
"Is my child still asleep?"
Sarita bua walked in with a warm smile and gently placed her hand on Priya's head.
"Piyu, my child," she said softly,
"Wake up. It's your engagement today."
Slow movement under the blanket.
Priya Rajputana—
fondly called Piyu by everyone—
slowly opened her eyes.
A calm smile curved her lips.
Confidence sparkled in her gaze.
"Jai Shri Krishna, Badi Maa."
In that moment, the haveli truly came alive.
Sisters, Laughter & Mischief
Priya walked away to get ready,
but mischief lingered behind.
"You know, Mom," Riya laughed,
"I also love engagements.
If Di hadn't woken up, I would've done it myself!"
Sunanda twisted Kiya's ear lightly.
"Is that how you talk about your elder sister?"
"Should I make ginger tea for Di?" Siya asked eagerly.
Priya turned back, laughing.
"Let me get ready first, at least!"
The Hero Arrives – Abhay Shrivastav Vyas
Outside, the drums grew louder.
A luxury car stopped at the gate.
And then—
his entrance.
Abhay Shrivastav Vyas.
CEO. Producer.
And the heartbeat of millions.
"Come on, hurry!"
Kiya whispered excitedly.
"Don't miss a chance to trouble our future brother-in-law!"
The Black Lehenga & the Sudden Storm
Priya descended the staircase.
Draped in a black lehenga.
Graceful.
Fearless.
Time seemed to pause.
Every gaze was fixed on her.
"Someone ward off the evil eye,"
a voice murmured from behind.
Everything felt perfect—
Until it wasn't.
A woman stepped forward.
An actress from Abhay's industry.
She grabbed Abhay's hand—
right in front of everyone.
Her voice was firm.
"I need to talk to you.
Right now.
It's extremely important."
End of Chapter 1
Silence fell like a storm.
Who is this woman?
Will the engagement break before it begins?
Or is Priya's love about to face its very first trial?
To be continued…
