Chapter 30 - 30. Crossroads of Fate- The Siege of Two Worlds

The sky over New York had turned a bloody red. Countless alien armies rained down upon the skyscrapers like a swarm of locusts. Secret Admiral's cosmic clones and the enigmatic Black Ninja were holding them back with all their might, yet the enemies showed no sign of faltering. The Secret Admiral herself, however, was nowhere to be seen—trapped in a strange, unyielding dilemma.

In these frozen moments of time, the Secret Admiral stood before Angel Lysandra. This time, there was no compassion in Lysandra's eyes—only a cold, unflinching severity.

"Victoria, I have no time to listen to your emotional theatrics, and you have no other choice," Lysandra thundered. "If Rhinosorus acquires the second piece of that armor, Aethna's power will grow so immense that the entire universe will bow before her. The destruction of New York is only a glimpse—the true massacre will begin when Aethna succeeds, piece by piece, in claiming every fragment of that ancient armor exactly as she intends!"

But upon hearing Lysandra's words, the Secret Admiral found herself trapped in a painful dilemma. Samuel's alien armies were rapidly taking human lives, and humanity was powerless to fight back. The Secret Admiral could have confronted them herself, yet at this very moment she stood at a crossroads—on one side was the promise she had made to Lysandra, and on the other was her desperate desire to save the people.

Tormented by Lysandra's words, the Secret Admiral cried out, "But Lysandra, I cannot watch my people die like this! Is a single piece of armor truly more valuable than the lives of thousands of innocents?"

Lysandra grabbed her shoulders and shook her firmly. "Yes! Because if that armor reaches Aethna, not just New York but the entire Earth will turn into a graveyard. Billions of lives are worth far more than the few people living in your New York. Never forget—sometimes a warrior must sacrifice a finger to save the whole body. So do not waste any more time. Go to the forests of Arizona immediately and stop that Rhinosorus from obtaining the second piece of the armor. This is my command!"

The Secret Admiral knew that Lysandra was not wrong. Where the Secret Admiral wished to end the crisis of the present, Lysandra sought to prevent the catastrophe that loomed in the future. And so, tears welled up in the Secret Admiral's eyes. Accepting defeat, she lowered her head.

In the very next moment, a blinding flash of light erupted, and she found herself back on the battlefield of New York.

The instant the Admiral returned, she plunged back into combat. Yet she knew—she would have to leave for the jungles of Arizona soon and stop Rhinosorus before it was too late. Just then, the Black Ninja beheaded four aliens in a single motion and turned toward the Admiral in surprise.

"Hey! Where did you suddenly disappear to?" he demanded. "Things are falling apart here, and you're losing focus in the middle of the fight. At this rate, you won't just fail to save people—you won't even be able to protect yourself, Admiral."

The Admiral did not reply. Her face was expressionless, her eyes filled with sorrow. She took a deep breath, ordered her ten clones to continue the battle, and activated her supersonic speed.

"Ninja, forgive me. You handle the fight here—I have somewhere I must go. But I promise, I will return soon. Until then, these clones of mine will help you hold back the aliens."

Before the Ninja could even speak, the Admiral shot off toward the jungles of Arizona, slicing through the sky like a streak of blue. The Ninja was left alone, surrounded by thousands of aliens. Clutching his sword tightly, he muttered, "Girls… always betray you at the hardest moments!"

Meanwhile, as the Admiral flew toward Arizona, another conspiracy was unfolding in a desolate corner of New York. The very family the Secret Admiral was torn over today, caught between her own emotions on two fronts, now faced mortal danger—the mafia had reached Victoria's home, and their intentions were far from honorable.

In the next instant, bullets tore through the air as the mafia entered Victoria's house like shadows, their hands gripping sophisticated weapons.

As they breached the house, the servants scattered in panic, trying to save their lives. The noise drew the Truth Fairy as well—sent by Victoria earlier to protect her family. She tried to stop them, but her power was limited to compelling truth. She could inflict mental anguish, but she could not physically restrain anyone. Spinning helplessly, she was unable to prevent the mafia from causing harm.

"Come on, Allen. You've enjoyed your luxuries for far too long on your own money. Our boss merely asked you for a small contribution—for your own safety—and you forgot your place and dared to curse him instead. Now you'll learn that in New York, no one should ever have the courage to cross the mafia. From now on, you are our asset," one of the mafia boss's men said with cruel mockery.

They threw cloth hoods over Allen and Olivia's heads, abducted them, and shoved them into a black van, speeding off toward the airport road. The Truth Fairy was helpless. She immediately took flight, rushing to inform Victoria.

On the other side, deep within the dense jungles of Arizona, Rhinosorus was unleashing devastation. He had ordered his demons to eliminate anyone who came in their way. Units from the Forest Department police and the army arrived at the scene, but their guns proved like toys before Rhinosorus's demons, and one by one, the men continued to fall.

In his search for the fragment of armor, Rhinosorus began uprooting centuries‑old trees with his massive horn. "It's somewhere here… I can feel its energy!" he laughed, addressing his demons. "Drag these humans to the doorstep of death while I cleanse this jungle."

But he had forgotten that a superhero was already there to aid the people of Earth—her name was the Secret Admiral. Suddenly, a thunderous roar split the sky, and the Secret Admiral descended. Her fury had reached the seventh heaven.

"Bastards! Enough is enough! You've taken too many lives and inflicted irreparable damage upon nature. Now the time has come for your deaths—for you to return to the same darkness and filth from which you were born!"

The very next moment, a ferocious battle erupted between Rhinosorus and the Secret Admiral. The Admiral unleashed a relentless barrage of cosmic blasts, yet her focus wavered. The screams of New York echoed in her ears. Exploiting this moment of distraction, Rhinosorus slammed the Admiral into a massive rock.

"You're far weaker than I expected, Admiral! First I'll kill you, and then I'll take that piece of armor to my mistress, the Dark Goddess Aethna. She'll be doubly pleased—her greatest enemy will be dead, and there will be no one left on this Earth to stop the remaining pieces of the armor," Rhinosorus said, laughing.

Yet he knew that Aethna had sent him to obtain the armor fragment—and if he failed, she would kill him. And so, he signaled his ten powerful demons to keep the Admiral entangled, while he himself slipped into an ancient cave.

The Admiral began fighting the ten demons, but they were far more powerful than ordinary demons. By the time she eliminated them and pursued Rhinosorus into the cave, it was already too late. In Rhinosorus's hand gleamed a radiant fragment of black metal—it was the second piece of the Body Armor.

"Hahahaha… you're too late, Secret Admiral. I have succeeded in obtaining this piece of the armor, and with its power, the Dark Goddess Aethna will claim the remaining fragments as well. After that, only the rule of the Dark Goddess Aethna will exist upon this Earth!" With those words, Rhinosorus opened a magical portal.

Before the Secret Admiral could seize him and tear the armor fragment from his grasp, he hurled a dark energy trap that imprisoned her for a few moments. Rhinosorus then leapt straight into the portal and vanished toward Dark Heaven.

At last, the very thing Lysandra had feared had come to pass. In Arizona, the Secret Admiral had been defeated at the hands of Rhinosorus, sent by Aethna. But the Secret Admiral had no time to mourn this defeat. Burning with sorrow and rage, she took flight toward New York, determined that she could at least help the humans there.

Yet she did not know that another shock awaited her—on the way, she encountered the Truth Fairy, who was gasping for breath.

"Victoria! Please forgive me. I failed at the task you sent me to your home for! They… they have kidnapped your mom and dad!" the Truth Fairy cried through her tears.

The Admiral froze midair. Her body began to tremble. "What? Who did this—and when? What is happening? How are all these disasters striking at once?" Tears welled up in the Secret Admiral's eyes as she spoke.

At that moment, she was overwhelmed by rage and helplessness together. On one hand, she had already failed to stop Rhinosorus from escaping with the fragment of that armor. On the other, she had been unable to protect her parents—and now she was losing New York as well.

Two paths lay before her. On one side was the city of New York, locked in battle against the aliens, where her clones were fading and the Ninja was fighting alone. On the other side were her parents, who could be dragged to their deaths at any moment by the mafia.

"Truth, where on earth have I ended up? Lysandra sent me here to stop Aethna's demons from taking that piece of armor, but I failed at that too. On the other hand, people in New York are dying at the hands of those aliens, and I can't help them either. I… what should I do? I can't make sense of anything!" the Admiral screamed.

At that moment, the Secret Admiral had become part of a massive labyrinth carefully designed by Aethna, where at every step she was being defeated. And now, it was impossible to predict what punishment Lysandra had in store for her.
