Chapter 33 - 33. The Last Strike- The Dark Awakening

Outside that dark warehouse in New York, the Black Ninja had already arrived. Like a living shadow, he moved with slow, measured steps, circling all four sides of the godown, trying to assess the situation inside. From within, the crude laughter and filthy curses of the goons rang clearly in his ears. Victoria's parents were tied up in one corner, and the fear of death was plainly visible in their eyes.

The Ninja understood that the members of the mafia gang were extremely dangerous and could take the hostages' lives at any moment. Reading the situation, he decided not to waste a second. He would go in immediately and free the captive couple as quickly as possible—just as he had promised the Secret Admiral.

Just then, the window on the roof shattered with a harsh screech. Like a black storm, the Ninja descended.

"Who the hell are you, and what are you doing here, bastard?" one of the goons shouted, raising his machine gun. But before he could pull the trigger, the Ninja's sword sliced through the air. In a single instant, the gun split into two pieces and fell onto the floor.

From all sides, the goons charged in to attack. The Ninja slammed a smoke bomb onto the floor with his palm. The entire room filled with thick black smoke. In the darkness, only the swish-swish of the sword slicing through the air and the cries of pain from the goons could be heard. The Ninja's movements were so fast that no one could comprehend what was happening. One by one, he began striking the goons with his blade—but he took no one's life. Instead, he wounded them so severely that they would never be able to rise again. When the smoke finally cleared, all the goons lay unconscious on the ground in half-dead condition.

The Ninja quickly moved to the captive couple and cut their ropes. They were trembling.

"Y-you… who are you? Who sent you, and how did you know we were being held captive here?" they asked in fear.

The Ninja sheathed his sword on his back and spoke in a deep, cold voice, "Offer your thanks to that friend of yours who is fighting for the entire universe at this very moment. I am merely fulfilling a friend's promise. Leave this place and go home. I have already informed the police, and they will arrive shortly to take these goons away."

Before the couple could ask anything more, the Ninja vanished into the darkness like a shadow.

"Who was that man, and why did he help us?" Allen asked, looking at his wife. But neither of them knew anything about it.

Meanwhile, floating on the surface of space, the Secret Admiral was unable to understand where she should even begin searching for that mothership. She had been circling through space for quite some time, yet she found no trace of it anywhere. It felt as if the mothership had vanished into the depths of the cosmos itself. Just then, the thought of Lysandra crossed her mind—someone who could help her. Without wasting a single moment, she reached out to Lysandra within her mind.

"Lysandra… I know you are angry with me. Please forgive me," Victoria said in a breaking voice. "Because I failed to protect that fragment of the armor… but right now, I need your help. Truth Fairy… she disappeared along with that ship. It's all my fault."

In the next moment, a jolt surged through the air, and Lysandra's holographic power sent a sharp wave into Victoria's mind.

"Forgive you? Do you think your forgiveness will bring that fragment of the armor back?" Lysandra's voice cracked with anger. "You are my warrior, filled with angelic powers, not some child! Your main duty was to keep that body armor safe and prevent it from falling into Aethna's hands. Yet you lost that invaluable fragment and even put your companion in danger. It is your weakness that will one day destroy everything!"

Though Lysandra was furious at the Secret Admiral's failure—because at any cost she had to stop Aethna from obtaining the pieces of that body armor, which was why she had transformed Victoria with her powers into a powerful superhero, the Secret Admiral, and even restored her family's lives—Victoria had still failed in her duty.

But in the very next moment, Lysandra controlled her anger. She closed her eyes to help the Secret Admiral. From her body, a blue-and-white energy burst forth, spreading across the cosmos like a shockwave. In a single second, she scanned billions of stars and galaxies.

"Stop crying, Admiral. That ship is 4.2 light-years away, hiding behind the Xylos Nebula. Go, and this time do not fail—because if you do, no one will be worse off than me! Go and rescue your friend, Truth Fairy."

With Lysandra's help, the Secret Admiral felt a surge of relief and gratitude, thanking Lysandra for her support. In the very next moment, without wasting another second, she set her cosmic energy to 100 percent. A blue aura ignited around her body, and she shot through space like a meteor.

In no time, she spotted the Shadow Hunter mothership—a massive, black-metal beast, devouring starlight as it repaired itself.

"Truth! I'm coming to get you!" Victoria shouted, striking the ship's outer shield with her fist. An explosion rocked the rear of the vessel. She unleashed laser beams from her eyes, melting the ship's thick plating and bursting inside.

Once inside, she faced an entire army of aliens and robots. Victoria slammed her fist onto the floor with tremendous force, producing a Cosmic Shockwave that reduced all the robots to piles of scrap. She then created a cage of her cosmic energy, trapping the aliens within it. Swiftly, she advanced toward the medical bay, where she could feel Truth's weakened energy.

But on the way, a massive door opened, and standing before her was General Samuel. He was wearing a special Anti-Cosmic Suit, forged from the dark energy of his own planet.

"You have invited your own death by coming here, Admiral!" Samuel roared. From his hand emerged a sphere of dark energy that struck Victoria straight in the chest. Victoria crashed into the wall. She tried to steady herself, but Samuel's speed was far greater than that of an ordinary alien. He teleported behind her and struck her back with a heavy electric rod.

Victoria turned and threw a cosmic punch, but Samuel stopped it with a single hand. "On this ship, my power is beyond your imagination," Samuel said, grabbing Victoria by the throat and lifting her into the air. He released a special Neutralizer Gas, causing Victoria's powers to fade. She struggled desperately, but slowly her eyes began to close. She had lost to Samuel—because she had made the grave mistake of underestimating him.

"Put her in the cage as well," Samuel ordered his soldiers. "Today, both the Admiral and the Fairy will meet their end, and after that, nothing will be able to stop us from taking over Earth's resources."

At that very moment on Earth, above Area‑51 built in the Nevada desert, the sky suddenly turned black. Security alarms blared. Nothing appeared on the radar, yet the ground trembled, as if warning the stationed forces of an approaching danger.

Suddenly, with a massive explosion, the earth split apart, and Rhinosrus emerged from within it. His body was as hard as stone, and he stood fifteen feet tall. From the massive horn on his head, flames erupted.

"Open fire! Fire!" the security chief shouted. Thousands of bullets rained down on Rhinosrus, but they could not even graze his hide. Rhinosrus exhaled heavily and rolled his neck. He lifted a tank and hurled it like a toy at another tank.

"Your toys cannot stop my path, weak humans!" Rhinosrus's booming voice tore through the air. He smashed through the prison walls and stormed inside. High‑tech laser grids tried to stop him, but he burned them to ash with his dark energy.

Crushing every obstacle and soldier in his path, Rhinosrus reached Underground Level 10, where the most dangerous criminals were kept. Inside a glass chamber sat a thin, frail man, his head marked with strange scars. It was Dr. Zathura.

Zathura looked up and smiled. "Who are you? I don't know you. What have you come here to do?"

With a single kick, Rhinosrus shattered the bulletproof glass. "Dr. Zathura, Lord Aethna needs your intelligence. She wants you to create a machine that will turn this world into a graveyard for demons."

A devilish gleam lit Zathura's eyes. "Turning humans into demons? Child's play for me. Just give me my lab and equipment, and watch how this Earth dances on my fingers."

Rhinosrus placed Zathura on his shoulder and opened a portal. "Then come. Our time has come."

Before the police and army's heavy reinforcements could arrive, Rhinosrus and Zathura had already vanished into the darkness.

One defeat followed another for the Secret Admiral. She had gone to save Truth Fairy aboard that ship, but had ended up captured herself. Now, the question remained—who would save the Secret Admiral and Truth Fairy?
