Chapter 29 - 29. Nova Strike: Inferno Over New York

The streets of New York now looked like a scene straight out of a horror movie. On one side stood the Secret Admiral, infused with cosmic powers, and on the other, the mysterious Black Ninja. Facing them were thousands of bloodthirsty aliens from Samuel's army, each wielding strange laser weapons in their hands.

Both the Secret Admiral and the Black Ninja were confronting Samuel's alien forces with immense bravery, but Samuel's army was so vast that if they killed fifty, in the very next moment a hundred more aliens would step forward to fight them. New York's buildings were collapsing, and countless human corpses lay scattered across the streets, being torn apart by stray dogs and other animals.

The Admiral and the Ninja had barely forced the first row of aliens to bite the dust when suddenly the ground began to tremble and balls of fire started raining down from the sky. Samuel had deployed his two most dangerous commanders onto the battlefield—those whom Aethna had given him as a gift to carry out the invasion of Earth. Of the two, the first was Ignis, the Lord of Fire, and the second was Terra-Crush, the one who controlled Earth and Metal.

The moment Ignis set foot upon the ground, he locked his target onto the Secret Admiral. Laughing loudly, Ignis unleashed a stream of lava from his hands toward him."Secret Admiral! Today I will turn your shining world into ashes!"

On the other side, Terra-Crush slammed his massive fists into the ground, causing the streets to裂 apart and towering buildings to crumble into ruins. In the very next moment, he launched a full-powered assault on the Ninja, and the Ninja, with equal bravery, began responding to the attacks unleashed by Terra-Crush.

But the number of enemies was so overwhelming that handling them was becoming increasingly difficult for both of them. Now the Admiral and the Ninja were entangled in fierce combat with Samuel's two commanders, while in this situation the remaining alien soldiers began hunting down the innocent people of the city. Witnessing the screams and the scene of destruction, the Admiral's heart began to sink. He could not understand how he was supposed to fight thousands of enemies all at once.

At that very moment, a divine voice echoed within the Admiral's mind. It was her inner conscience."Victoria! You are not just a human. You carry the energy of the universe within you. Do not confine yourself within limits. You are an angelic power capable of striking multiple targets in mere moments. Let your energy flow freely and create multiple forms of yourself that will annihilate these enemies in the blink of an eye—but remember, the more forms you create, the more your power will be divided, no matter how limitless it may be!"

Hearing the voice of her inner self, the Admiral closed her eyes and released her cosmic energy with full force. In the very next moment, not one but ten Secret Admirals manifested on the battlefield. The aliens were left stunned at the sight. The Ninja paused for a brief second, looked on, and said in amazement,"Not bad, Admiral! Now this is getting interesting. Though if you had created more than ten forms, we might've gotten even more help." Saying this, the Ninja plunged back into the fight.

The battlefield was a scene of utter devastation; on one side, the Admiral's ten clones were annihilating the aliens, while on the other, the dance of death was about to begin. The Ninja kicked off the ground and leapt like a shadow, slicing through the air with mountain-like precision toward Terra-Crush. At that very moment, the Secret Admiral brought her hands together, channeling the infinite energy of "Cosmic Nova" into a single, piercing beam.

The Ninja spun his sword midair, infusing it with every ounce of his samurai power, causing its blade to magnify tenfold in deadly sharpness. Meanwhile, Ignis, drawing his final breath, hurled a blazing fireball at the Admiral. But in her eyes, there was no fear—only a cold, piercing gleam.

As the Ninja drove his sword past Terra-Crush's rocky chest, at that exact instant, the Admiral's "Cosmic Nova" beam split Ignis's fireball in two, cutting through it effortlessly and piercing straight into Ignis's heart.

On one side, Terra-Crush's colossal body had already collapsed into a heap of dust and debris, while on the other, Ignis had transformed into a fountain of fire with a terrifying blue explosion. When the smoke gathered at that place finally cleared, only two silhouettes stood on the battlefield—one was the Ninja, holding a gleaming sword in his hand, and the other was the Secret Admiral, staring at the smoke rising from her palms. The very existence of both enemies had been erased into the soil. But this battle was far from over.

Amid the chaos of war, after the death of those two commanders, the Ninja approached the Admiral and said, "Killing these commanders won't be enough. We either have to bring down that mothership or shut the portal, otherwise these aliens will keep coming."

The Admiral replied, looking toward the mothership, "I tried, but there's an invisible protective shield all around that ship. Even my most powerful beam can't touch it. As long as that shield exists, we can't do anything to the ship."

Meanwhile, on the other side in Dark Heaven, Aethna saw that her plan had succeeded. The Secret Admiral was now fully occupied fighting Samuel's army, which clearly meant she could no longer stop Aethna's commander, Rhinosorus, from obtaining the second piece of that armor.

Delighted, Aethna summoned Rhinosorus and said,"Rhinosorus! Let whatever is happening in New York continue. You are to go to the jungles of Arizona immediately. I want the second piece of that body armor at any cost! The Secret Admiral will no longer stand in your way."

The moment he received Aethna's command, Rhinosorus set off toward the dense jungles of Arizona with his team of ten demons. On the other hand, Aethna was both surprised and troubled by the thought that until now she had only one enemy—the Secret Admiral—but suddenly this Black Ninja had appeared out of nowhere to aid her. However, at this moment her entire focus was on acquiring the second piece of the body armor, and so she did not pay much attention to the Ninja.

But as soon as Rhinosorus, along with his demonic forces, began searching for that body armor in the jungles of Arizona, a few honest officers from the Forest Department there attempted to stop them.

"This is government land. You cannot enter here without permission! It would be better if you all turn back from here," an officer said, aiming his rifle at Rhinosorus and his demons.

But those officers did not know that the beings standing before them were not ordinary humans, but demons—for whom spilling blood and taking human lives was effortless. Without a second thought, Rhinosorus charged at the officers with his horn. Within moments, the green of the jungle was stained red with the officers' blood. Laughing, Rhinosorus said, "These insignificant humans think they can stop us. Come on, start searching for the armor!"

Unaware of all this, on the battlefield of New York, the Secret Admiral was crushing hundreds of aliens at once when suddenly everything froze. Time stopped, and a blinding light surrounded the Admiral. In the very next moment, she found herself standing before Angel Lysandra.

"Lysandra! What are you doing?" the Admiral shouted. "Send me back immediately! The city is being destroyed and everyone's lives are in danger!"

Hearing the Secret Admiral's words, Lysandra replied in a grave voice, "Victoria, I understand your emotions, but do not forget your true mission. Rhinosorus has already reached Arizona. If he obtains that armor, it will become far easier for Aethna to locate the remaining hidden pieces of the body armor. And after that, the devastation Aethna will unleash upon this Earth will be impossible for you to stop—and this destruction will be nothing compared to the catastrophe that is yet to come. That is why you must go to Arizona right now." There was stern resolve in Lysandra's voice.

But hearing Lysandra's words, the Secret Admiral was shaken and said, "But Lysandra, the people of Earth need me right now. At this moment, my first priority is the people of this planet. How can I abandon them to die?"

Lysandra answered in a firm tone, "This is the true test of a warrior. For a greater victory, one must sometimes choose the harder path."

Hearing this, the Secret Admiral grew utterly desperate. With a troubled voice, she said, "Lysandra, I understand that my true purpose in gaining this power was to stop Aethna from obtaining the pieces of that armor. But right now, the people of my planet are dying! Even if I prevent Aethna from taking the armor, if the aliens are destroying humanity in the meantime, then for whom am I really protecting this Earth?"

Her eyes, full of hope and pleading, searched Lysandra's face for guidance.

But from the expression on Lysandra's face, it was perfectly clear; she was unwavering in her decision. At this moment, she intended to send the Secret Admiral to Arizona to stop Rhinosorus, no matter the Admiral's hesitation.

Seeing to Lysandra like this, the Secret Admiral found herself trapped in a painful dilemma. She could not understand whether she should first save the people of Earth or go to the jungles of Arizona to stop Rhinosorus from obtaining the second piece of the armor—unaware that an even greater danger was waiting for her ahead.
