Chapter 7 - Chapter 7 Rules

"Do you want me to make a copy for you?" Yin Xiu asked meaningfully, his tone lazy yet subtly threatening.

The little girl stammered, squeezing the rabbit in her arms, glanced at Li Mo, and reluctantly nodded, muttering, "Okay..."

Her overly docile demeanor in front of Yin Xiu stunned the players watching from outside the screen. She actually agreed? Was she really that easy to talk to? This was the same ferocious monster they had seen before.

Some people, refusing to believe it, switched back to the scene in other rooms. Because of violating the rules, the little girl was transforming into a ferocious monster, tearing at the players' limbs. The more gruesome scenes in the other rooms were basically the little girl wreaking havoc, with the level of gore being outrageous and chilling to the bone.

Back in Yin Xiu's room, the little girl sat obediently on the sofa, hugging her doll. Yin Xiu sat beside her, holding paper and pen, copying down the contents for her. The scene was peaceful and harmonious.

Even the little girl, who wasn't angry or biting, sat there timidly, and her well-behaved appearance seemed much cuter and more pleasing to the eye.

"Why is Yin Xiu's dungeon run different from everyone else's?!"

"How should I know! I always felt that the monsters in the dungeon were very well-behaved in front of him."

"I don't believe it! I refuse to believe that all monsters will become so docile in front of him! There must be one that can punish him!"

"I don't believe it either! The first time I cleared this dungeon, I was so scared of this little girl that I stayed in my room all day! Why is she so well-behaved now?!"

"I'm feeling a little resentful. Damn it! Why wasn't my little girl this well-behaved back then!"

The live chat was filled with complaints, but everyone's attention remained focused on Yin Xiu's room.

"Let me think about how to summarize what your mother left you." Yin Xiu was cautious; he wouldn't completely reproduce the contents of the note, lest the copied version become a duplicate. So he gave a simple summary.

First, absolutely do not go out.

As long as you stay in your room and don't go out, you can basically eliminate the possibility of going out.

Second, do not look in the mirror.

He glanced back into the house. There were no mirrors in the living room, and the little girl's room probably didn't have one either, otherwise she would have broken the rules at first glance. But there was definitely a mirror in the bathroom.

He wrote: Go to the toilet less often.

Third, do not open the door for anyone, and do not let them find you.

This can be achieved simply by staying in the room and minimizing going out.

Fourth, you need to eat every day.

Although it says you have to eat every day, eating one meal a day counts as eating, and eating less can also reduce the amount of time you need to go to the toilet.

Fifth, you must stay in your own room to sleep at night.

Sixth, three days later, I received the package that my mother had left outside the door.

After carefully recalling the little girl's rules, Yin Xiu wrote down the following points for her:

Eat one meal a day, then go back to your room to sleep. Try to stay indoors during the day and don't go out at night.

The little girl held the short line of words on the note and fell into deep thought.

This is to torture her, isn't it?

The difference between her and being in prison is that she can go out of her room to use the toilet during the day... no, people in prison get three meals a day.

"Brother, is this what Mom asked me to do?" The little girl asked Yin Xiu repeatedly, holding the note in a troubled manner.

"Yes." Yin Xiu nodded calmly and capped his pen. "If you do these things, your mother will be back in three days."

The little girl's expression was unpredictable; she was not human, and Yin Xiu was certainly not human either.

"But eating only one meal a day is torture..." she grumbled, trying to protest.

Yin Xiu stroked her hair with a heavy expression, feeling helpless. "There's nothing I can do. Your mother just wants to abuse you."

The little girl suddenly tightened her grip on the rabbit doll's neck, her face turning pale and then flushed.

The note her mother left her was clearly not like that!

She had grievances, but she dared not speak them.

"Alright, now go back to your room." Yin Xiu indifferently ignored her agitated emotions, picked her up and threw her back into the room, adding, "Call me if you're hungry or need to use the restroom, and I'll open the door for you."

He then quickly closed the door, locking the little girl inside.

The little girl stared blankly at the closed door. Locked in the room, an innocent and pitiful child, only allowed one meal a day and forbidden from leaving! Was she really here to be imprisoned? She'd never suffered such injustice with any of the other players!

The little girl took a deep breath, squeezed the rabbit doll in her arms tightly, and her innocent face turned fierce.

If she gets the chance, she'll definitely bite Yin Xiu's head off, you bad brother!

But now...

The little girl rubbed the rabbit in her arms blankly, sensing the invisible chill spreading wildly outside the door, and obediently shrank her head.

Revenge can wait, no problem. All the little girls in the players' rooms are part of her. She got humiliated by Yin Xiu, but she can't possibly get humiliated by other players. Let's go vent our anger now!

Not long after Yin Xiu threw the little girl back into the room, screams of agony from players echoed from the other rooms along the corridor.

He indifferently put away his pen and paper, having dealt with the little girl, it was time to deal with the next one.

Although Li Mo, sitting in the corner of the room, did not make a sound to disturb the conversation with the little girl, his presence was by no means insignificant.

That gaze seemed to be glued to Yin Xiu, like a snake coiling around him, impossible to shake off.

Now that the little girl has gone back inside, only the two of them are left in the living room. When Yin Xiu looks up, he can see Li Mo sitting upright in the chair in the corner, staring at him with his usual smile.

The smile was too perfect and standard, with the upward curve of the corners of the lips remaining unchanged. In fact, looking at it for too long could create a slight uncanny valley effect.

Yin Xiu had always been wary of this man of unknown origin and did not want him to be around her, but it was difficult to keep him out, especially now that they had entered the instance and were nominally roommates.

The two stared at each other, neither of them speaking.

After a moment of silence, Yin Xiu looked away first and broke the silence: "I know you can't see the rules, so you can't deal with the dungeon."

The man slightly raised his chin, waiting for his next sentence.

"I won't ask you anything, and I'm not interested in what you really are."

"The current situation is that you opened the door and put me in danger, so I entered the instance and pulled you in with me. If you want to get out of this instance smoothly, then listen to me."

His voice was soft and languid, not like a discussion, but a statement.

No matter how strange and dangerous the man on the other side is, as long as he doesn't know the rules, he won't be able to move an inch in this instance, and in the end, he will just be trapped in this instance.

In this situation, Yin Xiu is still in a superior position and can maintain control.

"Okay." The man replied with a smile, without hesitation, as if he hadn't been listening at all.

This sense of ease and control makes him seem more like someone in a superior position than Yin Xiu.

"In addition..." Yin Xiu turned his gaze and met the man's eyes. In just one glance, it was as if emotions were instantly reacting deep in the other man's pupils, restless and uneasy.

This intense gaze was truly unsettling, even for Yin Xiu. "Could you please stop staring at me like that?"

Yin Xiu's annoyance made the man's smile widen even more. "Perhaps that's not possible."

The chilling aura emanating from him was hard to conceal. Whether it was his constant dignified demeanor, his persistent smile, or his gaze, he was like a hunter lying in wait for his chance. He remained motionless, yet he never once took his eyes off Yin Xiu.

Occasionally, staring at it for too long would cause a slight gurgling in his throat, accompanied by the sound of him swallowing saliva with excitement, which sent chills down Yin Xiu's spine.

From the moment Yin Xiu saw him, he was on high alert. Because he never let his guard down, the other party was also in a hunting state, always by his side, monitoring his close preparations.

The feeling is like walking through a forest and brushing past a bear, and then the bear's eyes light up when it sees you, and it starts drooling and following you, staring at you the whole time.

You know you're being targeted, but you never know when it will strike.

The thought that this tension would last until the end of the dungeon or even longer made Yin Xiu hope that the other party could tone it down a bit.

"Then at least, don't stare at me while I'm sleeping." He slowly lowered his demands, taking a step back.

After a few seconds of thought, the other person's smile deepened. "I won't stare, but I have to stay by your side."
