Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: The corpse was already moving.

Faced with the woman's questioning, Yin Xiu calmly replied, "It's a dog."

The little girl in the inner room pinched the rabbit hard: You're the dog!

"A dog?" The woman narrowed her eyes slightly. "Really?"

"It's a vicious dog, so we dare not let it out." Yin Xiu turned around dismissively and knocked on the door of the inner room. "Let it bark twice."

Little girl: ? ? ?

"It's not called waiting to die."

"Woof woof..." A faint barking sound came from the inner room. Although it was very weak, it did sound like a dog barking.

The woman outside the window had a complicated expression. "It doesn't sound like a vicious dog."

"The puppy bites fiercely." Yin Xiu returned to the window and pulled the curtains closed. "Is there anything else? If not, I'll rest."

The woman hesitated for a few seconds, then asked, "Let me see the dog?"

Yin Xiu slammed the curtains shut, quite ruthlessly.

This is pretty much the end of the story. Before, the woman could go back aggressively saying she had found the little girl and then bring a bunch of people to knock on the door. Now, she can't possibly go back and bring a whole bunch of people to knock on the door so loudly, just to see the dog, can she?

Yin Xiu's quick wit and expressionless ramblings shocked everyone watching the screen.

"Is it possible to do it like that? I've learned it..."

"As expected of Yin Xiu, he is so calm... When that woman's face appeared in front of the window, my heart stopped for a second."

"Me too, I feel like I'm about to have a heart attack. Is this the strength of a master who has completed all levels? I can't even dream of it."

"He's usually like this; I've never seen him have any big reactions."

"This is what a pro player doing when they come back to dominate newbies! This dungeon is completely different from the beginner dungeon I used to play; it's so much harder!"

"Yeah, when I was there, someone just knocked on the door. I just didn't open it. What happened just now?"

"It feels like the difficulty has been increased because of Yin Xiu's presence. This newcomer is probably going to have a tough time."

"In my opinion, we should just play it safe in the early stages and stick to Yin Xiu's coattails in the later stages. That way, we'll definitely win."

"You have to be able to survive. Look at the players in the other plane towns this time, some of them have already started to think they are extraordinary in the early stages."

This instance does not restrict the player's freedom; the rules prohibit the little girl from going out, not the player.

Amidst the commotion, some people had already tentatively gone outside to check what was happening.

Just after the first player died, the player in the room next to Yin Xiu quietly opened the door and peeked out, overhearing Yin Xiu's conversation with the woman. After this brief exchange, he had a better understanding of the situation.

"Close the door quickly! That woman is coming!" As a newbie entering the dungeon for the first time, his companion was already trembling with panic.

"Shut up." The man waved his hand, his face showing impatience. "If you want to get out of the dungeon alive, listen to me. I have experience clearing it twice. Do you think I can't carry you through a mere newbie dungeon?"

His companion nodded shakily and obediently shrank back.

After confirming that Yin Xiu had finished talking, the man retreated back to his own room and, imitating him, hid the little girl in the inner room.

At first, he was a little panicked when he found out that the difficulty of this newbie dungeon had increased, but after hearing about what happened in front of Yin Xiu's door next door, he felt relieved.

The monsters in this instance are much more cunning, but they're not really scary. You can easily shut them up with a lie. And that little girl, she actually barked like a dog, it was hilarious.

But now it's his turn. Although he has cleared the dungeon twice, each time he had a very frustrating and embarrassing experience. This time, in the newbie dungeon, he wants to enjoy the fun of bullying monsters in the dungeon.

Accompanied by the man's expectant gaze, the pale-faced woman approached his window, and seemed to be in a bad mood.

Just like with Yin Xiu, the woman immediately noticed the little girl's belongings in the room and her face lit up with an excited smile. "She's in your room! She must be in your room!"

The man stood by the window, feigning concern, and asked, "What are you talking about? Who's in my room?"

The woman's face twisted into a sinister expression. "That little girl, that monster, you hid her in the house, didn't you?"

"Look, there's no little girl in my house." The man deliberately turned to show her the entire living room. There was indeed no little girl in the house, but because he had hidden her in a hurry, he had even left the little girl's rabbit doll on the sofa.

The woman's gaze was fixed on the rabbit doll, her expression becoming meaningful. "That's hers, how did it end up in your room?"

The man glanced back and felt a sudden, inexplicable panic, but quickly regained his composure. "This is my sister's doll. It's normal for children's toys to look alike."

"Sister..." the woman chuckled, "Don't tell me your sister is studying in another city and isn't home right now, is she?"

"Yes! Is that not allowed?!" the man retorted confidently.

After listening to her conversation with Yin Xiu, the man was certain that as long as he made a reasonable argument, and the reason was justified, the other party would be unable to do anything to the person inside the house if they couldn't enter to verify. With this premise, it also meant that if the person inside the house stubbornly denied the existence of the little girl, no matter what outrageous things he said, the monsters outside couldn't do anything to him.

The woman had no interest in arguing with him about his similar arguments and turned to walk towards the door of the next room, but the man suddenly called out to her boldly.

"Hey! Don't go, ugly woman!" Perhaps it was the first time he had the chance to jump around repeatedly in front of a monster, and the man felt particularly excited.

When players in each dimensional town participate in a dungeon, they will broadcast their activities live from their own town, meaning that their every move will be seen by other players in the town.

Having finally gotten a chance to show off his skills in front of everyone, he insisted on pretending to tease the monsters in the dungeon.

"What did you call me?" The woman swooped back to the window, her pale, gloomy face pressed against the glass, her wide eyes bloodshot, making her look particularly eerie.

The man was startled, but remembering his companions inside and other players watching from the town, he feigned composure and continued shouting, "So what if I called you ugly woman? Look at yourself! You're scaring people in broad daylight. You frightened me just now, so apologize to me right now!"

Players generally avoid monsters in dungeons; aside from a few top players who are confident they can provoke them, almost no one dares to challenge them.

And today, he's going to be that kind of big shot.

"Apologize?" The woman chuckled darkly, her fingernails scratching against the glass window with a harsh sound, and the anger in her eyes intensified. "How do you want me to apologize to you?"

The man was instantly convinced by her subtle words that she was about to give in, and he became lightheaded with excitement. "Quickly tell me that I was wrong, and I'll reluctantly forgive you."

The woman's lips curled into a sinister smile. "If you open the window and let me see that there's no little girl in the house, I'll apologize."

The man slightly raised his chin and began to ponder.

He had already hidden the little girl inside the house. Even if the window was opened, she couldn't climb in. At most, she could peek into the living room. And even if the other party was aggressive, he would be safe as long as he retreated to a certain distance from the attack range.

The thought of making the dungeon monsters that usually hunt him down bow down to him, even if they didn't admit their mistakes, just to tease him like this, made him feel quite pleased.

Let the players in his small town have a good look at how this big shot effortlessly clears the newbie dungeon!

"Fine, I'll open the window then." The man said firmly, quickly unlocking the window and then taking several steps back to distance himself from it.

Just as he opened the window, the comments section was already filled with sighs of condolence.

"He's dead."

"Yeah, they're doomed."

"The body is already moving."
