"...so why exactly am I here? I doubt I was chosen for my contribution to humanity or because I did something to catch your eyes." I said to the entity who had summoned me here just when I was getting used to the comfortable life in the afterlife.
I thought the afterlife would be boring, but the feeling of joy and satisfaction that was present in the place made want to just relax and enjoy my afterlife for eternity.
But now here I was, suddenly summoned into this weird space and being told that I have a chance to be reborn.
The entity just...looked?... at me and replied in a bored tone,"I was quite bored and picked a soul randomly."
Oh....
" I can return you if that is your desire, but you should really consider this second chance at life."
"You can just return to your place in the afterlife if you die again, you really have nothing to lose in this situation" he continued.
And i guess he was right. I really had nothing to lose in this situation. If I could just return when i die again, this was effectively a vacation from the afterlife... which was just ridiculous and made me chuckle a bit.
"So do i have a choice in this reincarnation/rebirth thing? Or is it alreay decided?"
He seemed to think for a moment, which was weird because i didn't think god needed time to think...wait is he even god? he could be an angel for all i know.
As if knowing what i- ..... nevermind, he knew for sure what I was thinking, he replied "I am what you would call a 'ROB', but my identity is not important. I am giving you a second chance, you should be more concerned with that." He said and continued, "And about your questions...hmmmm...let's do it like this...."
He said, then a second later a giant wheel appeared behind us with all sorts of names like Marvel, DC, Monsterverse etc and I got an idea of where this was going.
ROB then pointed towards the giant wheel and said, "As you have already guessed, the wheel will spin and the world it lands on will be the world you will be reincarnated in. And the rest...we will figure that out as we go."
Well this is ROB feels quite chill, it feels like I'm with my friends again deciding what to do when we hang out.
I'm familiar with all the worlds in the wheel, which must mean that ROB only included the worlds which I have some idea of. That's makes this a bit easier as i won't be trusted into a world i have no idea of.....eh who cares anyway, it's a vacation.
"I see, then shall we start Mr ROB."
He just looked at me and said, " Just call me ROB, no need for the Mr. And yes, let us start"
The wheel then started spinning, and a few minutes later it started slowing down, before finally landing on a name.
"...fuck" i couldn't help but curse.
It had landed on My Hero Academia. Sure the world of MHA was way better then some worlds like Berserk or god forbid the Absolute Un wasn't the world that made me curse but the memories associated with it.
I had read the manga and watched the anime but It was not my favourite due to a number of reasons, the fandom for starters...oh god the fandom...then there was my personal preference and opinion. And that God awful initial ending, the memes speak for themselves.
But it was a good show, so I'm not that mad about it landing on MHA, but It would have been better if it landed on something like the Hero Killer verse. Which is a lot more dangerous than the MHA world to be honest and not as optimistic. But the single thought of seeing Engen and Victoria made it worth it even if I did not survive for long. I don't care that they are not good people.
But that's just pointless wishing at this point. I have more important things to deal with right now, like what to do next.
"So what next? Am i gonna be reborn just as or?" I asked ROB.
"I don't know, do you want to?" He replied with his own question.
"Not really, I don't want to take the risk of being reborn with a shovel for a head you know." I replied because i wasn't testing my luck today thank you very much.
"Hmmmm...then let's do it like this, I can let you choose a quirk, a power not from this world and an item. Does that sound good?" he said, then added,"You can be as specific as you want with your choices."
"Yeah that sounds good, just...let me think of what to choose for a minute" I replied.
Hmmmm, so what should I choose?....hmmmm...hmmm....aghh so many choices....wait, i don't really need to choose the best or strongest things like absolute reality bending or something. I can just choose something that I will enjoy and have fun with, this is a vacation after all.
" I got it! For my quirk i want 'Negation' with the following effects-
1.Ignores and negates the effects of all quirks including active and passive effects(attacks/defences/constructs etc)
2.Able to switch it on and off.
3.Able to choose who and what to affect.
4.Able to grow stronger as i grow stronger.
5.Unable to be stolen or replicated."
Yeah that sounds good for a quirk, well as good as I can think of at the moment anyway.
Hearing my wish, ROB just nodded and beckoned me to continue.
"For my second wish, I wish to be Carnage, as in i want the human and symbiote to be one and the same with all the strengths and none of the weaknesses. I also want the following characteristics-
1.Able to do everything every symbiote can do.
2.Abilities of every symbiote.
3.Able to absorb and replicate the powers of those consumed(completely or just a DNA sample)
4.Able to grow stronger with time, training or biomass consumed.
5.Unable to be analysed/replicated/cloned/detected."
That sounds good enough,maybe i forgot some things but whatever.
ROB then nodded again and replied,"Done, continue.."
"For my third wish, i wish for.....a 70 inch, plasma screen tv, with Netflix...nah I'm just kidding...."
That got a smirk from ROB, i guess he's cultured too.
"Damn this one is hard,ah fuck it let's just wish for something sick....oh yeah! I always wanted that....okay for my third wish, I wish for the 'Yamato' from Devil My Cry with the following characteristics-
1.Able to weild it and utilize its full capabilities without the need for demonic energy.
2.Only usable by me.
3.Able to cut through different realities or universes."
That should be good, i always wanted to try the Yamato. This is a weird combination of powers, but who cares anyway. It'll be fun.
ROB just nodded again and said, "It is done, now for the last little detail. Do you want to be reborn as a child or do you want me to just chuck you into a random alleyway?"
I couldn't help but raise an eyebrow, "Why an alleyway of all places?"
He just deadpanned at me and replied, "It would be hilarious, for me at least"
"I see, well i don't want to become a baby again nor do I want to be restricted by new parents so random alleyway it is" I told him, and I meant it. I don't want new parents and being restricted is no fun.
Then something else came into mind,"Wait wait wait, i can do whatever I want right? I don't have any duties or something right?"
"No, you can do whatever you want. This is just a way to relieve my boredom, so just enjoy and maybe cause some chaos"
"Oh good, I have some things I want to do that are not very legal nor morally acceptable. Nothing disgusting like pedophelia but still..." That was a relief, now I could do everything i always wanted to do in my past life.
ROB then clapped his hands, which was followed by a blinding light and then my consciousness became dark.

In a random alleyway among the busy streets of Tokyo, there was a bright light which lasted so short that no one even noticed it happened.
When the light died down, an unconscious person appeared in the air where the light shined and then promptly fell face first into the solid ground.
The impact seemed to wake the person as he gave a tired groan and laid there for a few seconds, as he finally seemed to make up his mind to get up. A tiny flash of light appeared again above his head, and from the light a beautiful katana appeared...which then fell right onto the person's head.
"*groan*.....fuck..." The little incident seemed to have reset any though the person might have had of getting up for a few more minutes.
